Finally, Fern started to catch her breath and...well, be able to SEE again. And what was the first thing she saw but a young boy reaching his hand out to her! She started to reach for it with her right hand, but realized midway that would just be clumsy and switched within a heartbeat. "Heh, thanks. And...to properly answer, I'm fine. Just a little winded, is all. Funny, laying back usually works..." A quick glance to the side and she saw Fauna, affectionately staring as per usual. "...Are you getting thinner? 'Cuz that happens, right? Am I underfeeding you?..."

"Guuuuuuuuuuuuuh...hoooooooooo...guh..." Amidst the gasping and blurred vision, Fern managed to make out...well, someone's voice. She had no idea who it was, but she intended to answer the question...too bad she could hardly breathe, let alone speak. "Ah...faaaahhhhhhhn...guuuuh..."...Ah fah? What in Naga's name was that supposed to mean? And no sooner had the gibberish escaped her lips than her somewhat-too-loyal mount, Fauna, landed beside her.

Today hadn't been really eventful for Fern. Just like the day before...and the day before...and so on. And, as usual, she decided to go on a little pleasure flight. As usual, it was fantastic. The wind in her hair, the sun in the sky, the...smell of smoke? As she flew over the fields, she decided to lay back on her mount. It usually worked...except this time, it didn't. She fell off her steed and plummeted to the ground, landing square on her back, knocking any wind in her out of her. She could do nothing but lay in the grass and gasp for air.

I might be a little late for this. Busy deliberating and...yeah. Might as well, though. Name: Fern Gender: Female(Let's see if I can pull this off) Class: Pegasus Knight Age: 18 Appearance: Average height, a bit pale. Has very wide, blue eyes and pale green hair. The latter is tied back in a ponytail, and on top of THAT, a headband is worn across her forehead, with her bangs protruding over it. To contrast, her breastplate is a rosy color over a scarlet undershirt. Aside from the coloring, it looks like a fairly standard Pegasus Knight uniform. Personality: The defining trait would probably be ignorant. Has little to no common sense, and is generally uninformed of current events. However, isn't terribly bad to be around, and usually cheerful. Admires pretty much anything with wings, hence the pegasus. Also has a bit of wanderlust, mainly out of never getting to go anywhere very far as a kid. A connection between the two may exist. No more competitive than the next person, but absolutely hates coming in last place. Not exactly good with directions.

Name: Peter Itanis Personality: A brash young man who tends to talk himself into trouble. Never quits an argument of his own volition and will never admit he's wrong. Not to anyone's face, at any rate. Oddly skilled at dancing, not that anyone ever wants to with him. Will also never admit how lonely he really is. Boon: Skill Bane: Defense Appearance: Peter is a thin man who stands at 5' 7" tall. Has short, messy brown hair that slightly covers a scarlet headband he is never seen without. Looks better with unkept hair anyway. Wears a green tunic, grey pants, and brown boots. Also wears a necklace that he refuses to tell the origin of. It's not ornate or anything, but it does have a little charm on it. Has green eyes and a serious-but-not-TOO-serious look in them.

Name: Simon Perros Gender: Male Occupation: Unemployed, but wouldn't mind being a scientist. Description: A young man, roughly 6' even. Has deep brown eyes and black hair cut short. Very hardworking...assuming someone else told him to do whatever he's doing. His biggest character flaw is his extreme apathy, which masks a much deeper case of decidophobia. Has only rudimentary survival skills, none of which had ever been tested. Backstory: American by birth. Doesn't care enough about where he grew up to remember. "Might have been a transfer student or something. Who cares?" Grew up with nearly every aspect of his life meticulously planned by his wealthy parents. As such, he's never actually made any decisions for himself. Received top-notch education and due to having nothing else to do, passed with flying colors. Arrived via: Boarded the Gazelle as part of a vacation of sorts with his parents...neither of whom survived the crash.

I've got a lovely little cast of characters already, and while I wasn't expecting to start GMing right off the bat, I got to thinking, "you know, I've got this world I made in my spare time; why not RP with it at some point?" And yes, since I have no practical experience, I wasn't gonna start GMing on my first RP. I just wanted to know for if I ever decided to roll with it. I have a lot of spare time anyway.

I'll be sure to take that advice. Like I said, I'm new, so I don't have a whole lot of experience doing this kind of thing. And I like to hope I'm better than just slapping something together at first glance. EDIT: I didn't even need a role in the first place. I'll settle for a little advice on good RPing.

Alright. So...read what you guys are doing so we can come up with something later?...I'm fine with that. It'd be weird to just jump in in the middle anyway. Trying t' think of a good character anyway. Gives me some time.

Like Lightshock16 here, I'm new to the site and am hoping to kick off my new account with an RP. I don't need a huge role or anything; I just kinda wanna tag along and learn the ropes. I'll happily be a merc or tag-along. If you'll have me, I mean. I'm available most days 4-5:00 Central Time.

In all honesty, I wanted to kick off my new profile by joining an RP or starting one or something, but considering I have no experience doing such well...I've been snooping around a little, and I probably couldn't start one out of sheer impatience. I'd have to rely on someone else for map making, and I'm not necessarily the greatest storyteller ever. Guess I'll wait for sign-ups to open on one.
