    "It has been said that the US does not have an ideology, it is an ideology. One needs only to look at the ubiquitous American flag to realise that there might be some truth in this. US culture is riddled with patriotism, and too often it is not a ‘clean’ patriotism, in that pride is felt about the United States in and of itself, but rather a ‘dirty’ patriotism wherein everything that is not American is actively put down, ‘dumbified’ or ridiculed. If one accepts this as being the case, then the question arises: Why? What is the basis for this American need to constantly glorify itself, to make itself out to be special, set apart, almost holy, in relation to all other nations? At first glance it might seem like something of a paradox. If we disregard the comparatively minute number of Native Americans, the US is entirely made up of the historically recent descendants of European and Asian immigrants, the descendants of African slaves, and, even more recent, immigrants from Central America and the Caribbean. One would think, then, that if there were one nation on the planet devoid of national prejudice, the United States would be it. Clearly, this is not the case. But the paradox is only apparent, for it is indeed from this very multicultural nature that the aggressive American patriotism arises.

    I agree 100%

    I am the same way, racist at times to Chinese, French and South Americans because they aren't American. I'm not racist towards their people as I am to their flag. Which is ironic because I do not believe the world should have one flag, and one culture.The American patriotism tainted me in a way, but after reading this I realized it and I suddenly don't feel a hate towards those non-American places.

    How would we fix this "United States of America?"

    In all honesty I love this country probably more than anyone here, and I will be the first to point out its major flaws

    Most important thing imo is to slowly stop producing in other places and begin to produce here again, this way we will be less dependent on other countries and help out American companies.

    Best part of that is too detach ourselves from China, without us China is nothing but a bunch of people with half ass tech. With our dependency on them they can grow their economy to a point were we need them and they don't need us. I in no way think China will be a super power as everyone thinks, but its better to have them in check just in case.

    Aside from that something at home has been bothering me

    Alot of useless trash is coming into this country I live in miami and you should see the useless low class loser who come from south American and Cuba. On the other side there are many people who do come from thoes places who do contribute to society in more ways than none. That really needs to be fixed, on the other side citizenship has faults too. Have a friend not born here of good class and a nice guy, he left to DR since he and his parents couldn't stay. They came legally and all. They are still waiting for papers. So something needs to be done to balance all of that, I'm no politician and I have no knowledge of policies to fix this, but it should be fixed.

    And this Gay people shit has to stop. They should be allowed to marry and they should have the same damn rights as everyone. I don't care if its unjust thats not anyones call to make so for realz :P

    Em I love you and you know that, but those aren't really signature banners, more like just pictures with sig dimensions I can teach you how to make really pretty sigs though if you want

    I mean what exactly are these sig images? Do you like, just take part of an image and put it in a different background or what?

    I get just a random pic without a background and I make a background using colors and things called C4D after the BG is made and the pic on the canvas you manipulate the pic to blend into the BG and flow with it, well made sigs have a certain flow in which the sig maker creates with use of his background and pic. The politically correct term for the picture is the render. Then after the render and the background look the way you like you save it and there you have a signature or sig for short

    Yeah the uncompleted anime series will finally end with I believe to be a 26 episode season of the final 21 volumes of the series

    by the amount of content in the plus the OVA InuYasha and the Black Tessiga there shouldn't be any filler just alot of story

    Why do you vote republican/democrat?

    I don't feel loyalty to any particular party, as for now I like our current democrat in office, but I have liked republicans over democrats in some occasions.

    I'm not an economist and I'm sure most people here and who vote don't know how the economy works, but they will claim they do till the day they die. I would vote on who I can trust and who seems to be the genuinely more intelligent and most fit to run our great country
