  1. I had a feeling they might do this game, as the last two crossover Warriors games, HW Age of Calamity and Persona 5 Strikers, both focused on only one game and it works very well, it nicely mixed the original game with the warriors formula and was generally well recieved. I would have loved another path in the original game were we could resolve matters in a better way, maybe this is it ?

Anyways as both a Fire Emblem and Warriors fan, I'm really happy. And I hope we will se new designs for other chracters like the three lords !

I have not seen it elsewhere but Nintendo France confirmed a limited edition with the game, an artbook, a fabric Fodlan map,  5 acrylic figures and postcards

On the weekend can you do multiple of the activities? Like can you explore, hold a seminar and do paralogues or do you have to pick one of the 3?

As much as I know you can only pick one the 3, then do as much as you can/want in one of the 3.You also have a 4th option to rest which refills students motivation and relics uses (I have the game too, going to help on this topic 🙂 )

  3. So I choose to play on normal to have the free grinding maps (i got the game early), but for now it seemed pretty useless ? If you just go to the free battle selection you can't do anything else (no exploration, no talking to students, etc). It's only that you can do the map as many times as you want instead of once. But it's impossible to go back to exploring after the free battle.

I found the game quite hard at first ? Your units start out a little underleveled and outnumbered, but after juuust a little bit of grinding they kinda feel overpowered now...

  4. So I got the game early, and tried my amiibo on. I have Robin, Lucina and Tiki ammibos (plus others non-FE), here is what happened :

    Spoiler

I only scaned the ammiibo once to unlock everything, I'm two weeks in the effect is still present I don't know if we have to rescan later. FE amiibos give rarer items. I got a lot of class seals.

    For the musics unlocked :

    Spoiler

With Tiki, Lucina and Daeren I got Id (Purpose), Conquest (Ablaze) and The World Tree (from FE Warriors)

So it was just a line with a lock on it? And you couldn't see class sprites?

Yes, I tried to find it in the replays but the camera is on the people talking at the time it happens. It looked kind of like this by memory :

    FE3HClass.png.6bfd4ed7254470a237e54cdf471ce9bb.png

The player showed this very quickly and went back (like less than a second), I guess he wasn't supposed to show this. But I was hoping for them to show what's down so my eye was exactly at the right place when it happened.

  6. I was there 😄

There are some stuff I noted during the presentation that i didn't really know about before. ( I noted very fast sorry if there are mistakes >< )

    Spoiler

Fodlan is about 2/3 of Europe by size. You will discover the countries around it during the game. The 3 fodlan countries are united under Seiros to prevent invasion from the countries around.

The characters can refuse to have tea with you. There was a " 3 missing conversations" screen at the end, dont know what that means.

Using general amiibo gives items, using a Fire Emblem character will unlock their character music that can be used on free battles.

There is a "help class" option to recruit a student from another house for only a month.

There are beasts that take 6 squares. Difficult ennemies as beasts was a long time desire from the producers, just like the many fighters on screen.

Some notes: Petra makes very obvious mistakes with her grammar but tries to get better. The French localization seems nice. Dorothea said something mysterious during lunch (she feels like she liked that before, but doesn't quite remember) so maybe she has some secrets...

Finally, the producers tried a lot of new things and had to face many so they are a little stressed about the reception but hope we will like it. Also they consider each story line as a game so Three Houses is 3 games in one

  7. I hope that thing about Lysithea is false, or at least avoidable (like for Kaze). She seems to be a popular character and already have her cipher card revealed, killing her like that will have a very negative impact. Sclarlet's death was very criticized and she was a minor character, so with one of the base students...

And in general I remember reading that japanese players really didn't like momentary characters, there was a lot of bad buzz some times with the Tales saga that did that.

Well I'm going for Golden Deer and I'm totally not ready to be forced to lose a student so praying Seiros this isn't true TTATT

I mean that's reasonable. In the artwork it's only a tad lighter (obviously it's much more drastic in game) and we haven't seen much f!Byleth in comparison to m!Byleth

It looks like the colors are reversed, f!Byleth has a dark grey cloack and black clothes and m!Byleth has a black cloack and dark grey clothes (if we look at the skirts of both we can see the difference)

  9. Honnestly I'm not believing it but it's more like hoping it's a fake, I really dislike some story elements mentionned (on the darker story tone, many deaths, etc. I'm very sensitive and am not good at all when people we bond with are forced to die TT^TT)

Kinda crossing fingers hoping it's a fake leak until we have confirmation about Setes UAU

  10. My opinions have not changed, still loving it, and the game i have been playing the most on the switch.

I have been a fan of the Warriors series way before discovering Fire Emblem, and when I found out Koei started making cross-overs I've always wanted them to do one with FE. The way they mixed the gameplay mechanics of both games was done perfectely, not losing the spirit of each. The story was pretty much what I expected, so yes it may be bad by FE standards but it's the same as any other Koei crossover game. I think their choices of characters was okay, of course they couldn't get everyone but they managed to get the most popular ones with some different gameplays (too bad the cast is great only with the DLC). They chose to focus on the 3 main recently popular titles just like they did with Hyrule Warriors, now if there is a FEW 2 they can also focus entirely on different games wich is better than having the main lords of each games wich would result in a case of nearly entirely sword users.

One of the biggest good surprises for me was in the supports and dialogues that I enjoyed, making me like characters I didn't like before ! It really felt like the devs wanted the fans to be happy, and i was !

It is a really good Warriors game, and it would be very great to have it come back with more FE games :)

I think looking at his surname might be a good clue too. From what I can tell, Molinaro seems to be a French/Italian surname.

Apparently in French, Doudou is an actual name, derived from Édouard. I'm not 100% sure though.

I'm French, and it is very much not XD

a "Doudou" in French is what you call the plushie/cloth that small children sleep with. It is also a very cheesy way to call your lover. And it doesn't sounds like a surname of any name I know .(we usually take first syllabus, so for Edouard it's Ed and for Didier it would be Didi but it also sounds kinda silly.)

I'm expecting a different name in French localization, because when I see this big strong man and call him Doudou I can't help but laugh XD

  12. As much as I agree that this isn't top quality visual and critics will certainly take points there, I can understand why they are going for that. It's their first "console" title since a long time, and the multiple release date delays shows that it was hard for them. Then, I never had the impression that Koei were very good at scenery, but instead they sacrifice the landscape and backgrounds in the order to have more space for exemple to have many units and FX on screen. Finally, we have to remember that this is a Switch game, not PS4 or PC, so the place is limited. If they have a big number of maps, events and more they do need to save ressources somewhere.

VN like dialogues work well on 3DS because the screen is small, but on a bigger screen it would be a waste to do that. I know games that went from DS/3DS to home console games switching the VN format to Models and it was a lot more expressive.

Personally I'm glad they choose to do this, if the characters have nice animations and all, their story and supports will be more interesting, I've been witing for that to happen for ever !

  13. I just got the last issue of Nintendo Dream, there are a few pages about the game in it, mainly an analyse of the last trailer but I don't really read japanese so I can't understand everything, but there is a picture of a white flag with a dragon and a shield that I don't remember seeing before :

It seems to be the blason of the Church of Seiros.

(Sorry if this was already shown before)
