  1. The archer's neck is pillow shaded and the darkest color in his hair is too similar to the middle color; you can't see it.
  2. The scar looks too perfect to me. If you look at say some of the bandit bosses or Brendan, the scars are a lot less symmetrical. As for the sword, I'd comment, but I don't exactly know enough to give you really good critique on that. The splice overall looks pretty smooth though, I might look a bit closer at where the neck meets the jawline, the shading there seems a bit inconsistent. Also, you have a couple random pieces of the outline shade in the hair near the right eye (our right), then a pixel of straight black on left (ours) side of his hair.
  3. I'm back. Been busy with school (taking bio online and I have 2 ap courses) so I haven't had much time to work on anything lately. But I made some time and made My Unit! Or one of them at least. Still some issues with the trim (both gold and purple) and then the left (hers) arm is a little funky. Also the palette is insane. I can't get it down to 16.
  4. Oh, wow, yeah I've never seen a helmet like that. It works for what you were going for, but I wouldn't suggest doing that style personally, I think it looks cleaner either without the plumage or with the normal style
  5. I actually really like these. The centurion's angles are all over the place though, it looks like his head is facing us, but then we can see all of his plumage stuff somehow, and then his body is angled more toward where the enemy would (which makes sense but not with the head angle). Also, I'm pretty sure most fe sprites have more of a shadow coming in front of them, normally it's like two pixels out I think? Not positive though
  6. I think the nose could be moved over a bit to our right, and I actually really like this, he just needs to look a bit angrier
  7. Okay, yeah I totally see what you mean about his body angle. I knew his left shoulder looked weird but I couldn't figure out how to fix that And I'll see if that works for his glasses thanks.
  8. Alright, thanks I'll play around with it later and see if I can fix it
  9. Kay, so I'm trying to insert the journey man sprite over the magic seal, so I got the dump from FE8, inserted it in FE7, then changed all the requirements in Nightmare (so it's able to use axes, etc) but it doesn't show any animation, it just does the map battle.
  10. Make sure that all of your frames have the pallet in the top right corner and that the background color of all of them is the same (transparent)
  11. Kay, so I go into Nightmare Editor, go to Event Modules: FE7 World Map Event References, take the offset from there, put it into Event Assembler (Version 8.1), put in a blank text file, and disassemble it then it says Event Assembler is unresponsive and it closes out. It might be I'm not selecting the right option in EA, I tried to end code and chapter, but both of those didn't work. My game is the standard US version of FE7 EDIT: Alright so I tried it again with a new copy of Event Assembler and this time it worked but I got a whole bunch of CODE commands at the end, how can I avoid this?
  12. Oh, duh, thank you haha
  13. So how do I just skip them? Cause I was trying to change the events there but my Event Assembler isn't letting me disassemble them, so I'm just going to skip the world map portion. How do I do this?

    FEE3 - 2012

It'll make me work on it I guess. Fire Emblem Hacked: FE7 Name of Hack: Two Tales Unfold Creator: Sea Lion What I'll Submit: Playable Demo Anything Else?: The scholar class won't be ready, so some classes might be a bit off for characters. Some speaking frames might be missing.
  15. So I threw something together, not the greatest, but I like it actually.
  16. Alright, cool, I'll have something for then
  17. Wait, so when is the submission date? Is it being pushed to after the summer competition?
  18. Kay, so I went back and touched up his shading and realized his body was really boring. So first I added some random tattoos (it's the hindu symbol 'Om') then I realized that the monk in game has tattoos, so I added those. Then I did a version of him with a trimmed beard and no tattoos I also touched up the shading on the big beards. Which looks best?
  19. Huh, it's been pretty quiet around here the past couple of weeks. I don't want to triple post, but it's been 5 days and I have a decent amount of new stuff. So first Remie edit: I gave him the pin I was talking about. It's supposed to be a bat but it kinda looks like a book. I still want to go through and re-do his hair, but that can wait til later I guess. Then the beginnings of his battle sprite! (aka, the scholar) Not so great, but it's a start. And now what I'm really excited about.... BAM! Went all D3 up in this shit. I have to faces, one with the real beard and then one with a trimmed version. I think it came out amazingly well considering I had no clue what I was doing. Need to fix his left (our pov) shoulder though, it's angle is off. And then that's his standing battle sprite. That sprite took me forever, and I still want to change his pants/skirt thing.
  20. Something about the hair seems more like a shawl or something than hair. I think it's just cause it's in an awkward position.
  21. New content unlocked! Made a new character, going to be either a Cavalier or a custom Beast Trainer class I'm working on.
  22. Wow, a compliment from an accomplished spriter. Thank you very much.
  23. Thanks for the comments guys, I'll probably go and fix him later. At the moment I'm working on sprites for my hack so, newer version of Remie: I could use some help on the top of the glasses/the eyebrows. The hair is really what I changed and a bit more shading on the jacket. I'm going to add a pin to the lapel eventually as well.
  24. My original and entry, unless I go and make the ukulele better before the deadline.
  25. Well, if nothing else it gives me a decent base to work off of. I started some work on Henry, but I want to give him new hair so I won't post any more of him until that gets accomplished. But in the meantime, look at my ukulele! Pretty happy with how this came out. After the competition I'll probably go and make the uke actually 3-d, I was too lazy to do that for the time being.
