Skills? Will you be following some of the other mechanics of FE7x as well? (i.e. WTA/D of Bows depending on range)
-
By the way, where is the chapter 7's knight crest? I've looked for it during my run, but I couldn't find it. ;_;
Bring Eagler, Marcus, Isadora, and Harken, and execute the talk chain.
Also, anyone if the below image is from any of the releases so far? I can't imagine it being from post Uther's story, but who knows.
Also, that image of Isadora's growths ont he features page sets the bar way too high. That's basically a perfect levelup for her.

You really have been playing on hard mode. At least you didn't miss training.
-
You know there's a shop at the base, right?
-
Won't affect what's in the demo, and I'd guess you'd be doing a few more playthroughs before the next is out. He's seen alive and kicking regardless of battle field death in later convos. Plus, no death, or even retreat quote.
Meredith and Isaac should go after people in range of Deacon. Or Deacon should have a heal first policy. Defensive band wouldn't hurt. They could show up later, if the idea is the player has sole onus to protect Deacon (Cybil's hurtling across the map is a pretty specific request to make of the player). Though there's quite enough green units to save as is. (Great chapter though. Giving better off players the challenge of saving as many green units as possible is cool, and isn't a reward that puts them stupidly further ahead.)

Could send Eagler up to get Roeis turn 1. No idea if that's optimal, though.
-
Turn 1 Roeis is pretty nice. You'll have enough characters to replace your screwed and under levelled one for the final chapter. Also, Eagler might be better off with Cybil's and Leonard's weapons if you're really too broke to buy him more weapons at base and are really having trouble.
[spoiler=missed items]
I'm guessing you missed the ch 7 knights crest. Promoted Wallace would probably be pretty helpful.
-
If you're playing through hard mode and not using Eagler, you probably should've known you're making things harder for yourself. Hassar+swift can also be pretty useful in a lot of situations, too. Especially thief killing.
Gonna add Bennet or Wallace for Ch 11? They'll probably help you more than Fargus. Leonard isn't essential for ch 11, though he's a great guy.
-
Yes, because of his sacrifice ability. Can't complain that you get an extra healer though.
Who only gets one use if you choose to use him as such.
He's better as 3levelups worth of fodder. -
The fucking blows, man. Glad you're alright. Guess I'll be trying out this patch, and getting hyped for FEXNA. Definitely almost missed that, and it's really exciting. Was wondering how you got were limiting movement range. And realized you could've just set move to 0.

Hey ya'll first of all thanks for the list!
I'm just gonna ask right away, what hacks you would say are good or worth giving a try? Don't get me wrong, the ones I started to play a wonderful games and I bet they all are. I just look for a game with a well story and a bit more difficult, so if anyone has something he could mention besides the stuff in those lists it would be awesome! If I'm not allowed to ask, just delete.
Thanks! Have fun playing.
I'd recommend FE7x (not a hack). Has the best writing of an fan game, I've found. But it also has the best everything (except maybe length) of any fan game I've played. The all custom half bodies and the new sprites are all of the highest quality. Their new engine allows them to add a lot of new features (skills, base like in FE9&10, flinching frames, training for units,...the list goes on and on). I'd be very surprised if it isn't the fan game that's had the most time and effort poured into it two fold.

(Also just finished creating hard mode versions of all the chapters \'3'/ )
=D
Release? My teams always end up OP, but using 2nd tiers is too much fun.
The ranking monitors are cool.

There's no turbo.
If you press start during an animation, it will skip that animation. If you hold it for a second it during a non-player phase, it will skip that phase.
-
Cool stuff. Got any videos or gifs of them, out of curiousity?
-
I don't know why that posted twice.
You can edit your previous posts, so you don't have to triple post.
c/p- have you downloaded XNA?
-
Woah, I'm relevant. That's cool.
The most recent version's animations can be the first page of my spriting topic or on the Feditor animation topic I did reference Lyn quite a bit when creating that. Below is the sheet where I kept all my bow angles, for consistency's sake:[spoiler=hunter bow worksheet]
I'm fine with people doing whatever with that animation, just to give credit if things are actually copy pasted from it or it's used in a game.
Looks like image shack took down all my other images. Haven't been on that topic in a while.I love the convo background.

I can't decide if I want to pay attention to the text or to you. Actually, I have no idea what's going on in this video, regarding the text.
Myke doesn't like saying things in a linear fashion.

imgur's pretty great for image hosting

Loving all the stuff. I think the Outlaw's arm could flourish a little more to swing the arrow over top, or could bring it the other way if you don't want the arm to move as much. Right now, the arrow seems two swing around on its own. In general, I think it could use a few more frames, it seems a bit choppy right now. (Trust me, I know that just means more work. the inbetween frames usually don't have to be perfect

Above the averages for the class or just in general? Either way that's very nice to know, especially since there's no wiki with growth rates (or at least I don't think there is).
The colour describes the stat compared to its average, no the growth rate. You'll notice they change. Sorry if that was unclear. (They'll likely be quite red if you promote before lvl 20, since the average stats they're compared to for t2 is based on promoting at lvl 20.)
Seeing people discovering this is usually pretty cool.
Also, obligatory voice of dissent about making the general's sword animation inconsistent.
-
I like all of your things.
The guys armour and face are both the best of intricate without being flamboyant.
And I love the western feel of the outlaw.
-
Hey, I'm trying this out, it's awesome so far, but I have to say I'm disappointed you didn't go with the sacred stones sword animation for generals. I friggin' love that, I don't think there's any need for the chain thing.
...Though It's really interesting that apparently the general can shoot its weapons with that chain.
Also, why do some stats glow green or red on the stat screens?
Green stats are above their averages, red ones are below.
Generals get 1-2 range with -20 hit on any sword or lance. And every sword thrower knows you need a chain to get that shit back.

Changing the width or shading of a sprite by even a few pixels can significantly change proportions when you're dealing with these sizes. I'd make sure to closely reference existing sprite work, especially for leg widths and lengths. A lot of yours seem a bit off. Lots of chicken legs. I like the concepts, just make sure you're not going too off book with proportions and shading.

So many villages. Could give an advance wars feel, rushing for them. Otherwise, it seems like it'd be a bit repetitive to play.

Is there even terrain in Rath's tale?
Horses don't get terrain bonuses in 7x.Karel's take with Astra, and Lyn's with anticipation and straifing will be fun.
Louise could have provoke or something like it, since she bagged pent by promising to protect him. Would really only be the most useful against other longbow men though.
Rankings will add some nice objectives.
