  1. Mmmm just out of curiosity, how exactly do we have two trolls "confirmed"? I may have missed something, but just cause someone says they're a troll doesn't mean they are. Especially if they have any concept at all of Homestuck. And as for quoting their PM, it'd be pretty easy to fake it. I'm not saying people are lying, I just think saying "confirmed", unless I missed something which is quite possible, is a little too soon.

  2. *shrug* I was just saying that if we aren't even sure there's a group trying to kill the trolls (my current guess is the trolls are the "townspeople" and that the people that aren't trolls for sure are the "mafia" though they may have troll names since there are twelve of us) there doesn't seem to be much point in killing someone right off the bat. Of course, we do have a chance of killing someone who's "evil" now so I suppose that's a reason. But it's completely random. Though, so is all of this game, so... :P

  3. Iris: Sorry :/ I honestly just picked randomly. But you're right. And yeah, I thought it ended today. >_<

    As for why I was lurking, I just leave the page open while I do other stuff, so it looks like I'm here a lot more than I am.

  4. Isra watched as the new soldier greeted Aeron, apparently having already met him. He seemed to be a competent and also normal, which was a relief. She started to enter the main area of the courtyard just as Zull made his entrance. Wincing, she moved away from him and went to stand such that she placed Adri between her and the rest of the group while still appearing to be standing with the group.

  5. Isra had once again spent most of the night on top of the building where they were staying, keeping an eye out for anyone paying too close attention to their building. She had slept some, and woke up in the morning ready to move on. She dressed quickly and grabbed her knives, stowing them away, then slung her pack on and headed downstairs. She grabbed some food on her way out, and then arrived in the courtyard in time to hear the healer asking Adri about her injuries. Instead of joining them in the center of the courtyard, she instead took up a post where she could see all the entrances to the area, as well as the people in the center.

  6. Isra watched the rest of the party out of the corner of her eye, and just shook her head at Zull's inability to learn from his mistakes. With a small sigh, she turned her back to the group fully and instead kept watch on the surrounding countryside as they discussed what they were doing next. We were lucky this time. Next time, we may be up against a much larger group. I never should have missed them spying on us. I will need to be more aware in the future.

  7. Isra saw the annoying mage take care of the ruffian, so she turned to take care of the remaining thief. Too far away to attack quickly, she instead threw her knife, hoping for a lucky shot.

    Roll:

    1d6--> 5+6-7=4 Hit!

    1d12-->9 no crit

    1-3=-2

    Sita turned just as she took a knife to the throat. She collapsed to the ground. Isra ran over to check to make sure that she was down for good and retrieved her knife in the process.

  8. Isra grinned widely at the thief after his second attack missed as badly as his first one had. "What's the matter? Am I too fast for you?" When her opponent just cursed at her in return, she lunged in with both her knives this time.

    Roll:

    1d6--->3 +6 -7=2 HIT!

    1d12---> 3 Crit!

    Damage=6

    This time, Isra managed to lodge her blade in her opponent throat. As he collapsed with a look of surprise on his face, she spun around with both of her knives ready to attack the remaining members of their attackers.

    HP:

    Luke: 0

    Isra: 8

  9. The second Isra had seen the four people up ahead, she had grabbed her two knives so that she would be ready in case anything happened. As soon as their party was attacked, she split off from the main group and charged the thief closest to her. When she was in range, she knocked his knives out of the way with her long knife, and sunk her other knife into his side.

    Roll:

    1d6-->4 + 6 - 7=3 HIT!

    1d12-->6 (non-crit)

    Damage=3

    Cursing at the girl thief who had attacked him, Luka brought his knives around to try and remove her from the fight as quickly as possible. However, he rushed it a little too much and she was able to dodge his attack with a quick back pedal. She then set herself to attack again.

    Roll:

    1d6-->1 + 6 - 8=-1 Miss

    HP:

    Luka: 5

    Isra: 8

  10. Isra just stared at Zull as he started to leave the the room. I can see this is not going to be an easy trip anymore. I'm going to have to try very hard to not stab this man. I've only been around him for a day and already I hate him.

    However, when he made the comment about her stabbing him in his sleep, she couldn't help herself. She grinned at him in a way that looked like it was trying to be comforting, but instead did the opposite. "Oh if I wanted to stab you in your sleep, you would never see it coming. But do not worry. As long as you do not threaten the mission, I will not kill you. But, if I should decide to kill you... Well then. I will give you fair warning if for no other reason then to give you a chance to run and hide."

    With that, she turned her back to Zull, clearly ending the conversation, and went back to finishing her meal.

  11. Isra watched Adri leave the room, and then pulled out the dagger she had tucked in her waistband. She started spinning it idly around while glaring at Zull. Putting the knife down on the table, she pointed at him. "Ok. You. Your attitude is not acceptable. I can deal with uncommunicative people. I am usually in that category myself, and would still be if this job was not so important to me. I can even deal with someone that apparently wants to hug everyone every other minute. But your arrogance is beyond dealing with. It is time for you to wake up and realize that you were assigned to be a part of this team, not to run it. That means that you need to behave. And if you continue to act like you have been. Well... " She glanced meaningfully at her dagger on the table. "Let us just say that I have been on the wrong side of the government before, and I would be ok with ending up there again if the reason was good enough."

  12. "I never said I was voting against going to the capital," Isra pointed out. With a little bit of a wry smile, she added "In fact, now that you have explained your reasoning, I understand and would agree with you. It would appear that going to the capital, while out of the shortest path, may in fact help us in the long run. I bow to your judgement."

    Isra leaned back in her chair and waited to see what the others would say. As much as I do not like interacting with people, I know that to get this job done I need to be civil. If the rest of our team can learn that then we will be fine for this. If not... Well then, Adri is wise in taking us back to the Council. I certainly would not mind getting rid of a few of these people...

  13. Isra had managed to mostly ignore the rest of Zull's conversation with Aeron, but tuned in once Adri began to speak again. When their next step was explained, Isra raised an eyebrow, wondering at the path laid out. When Adri asked for questions, she spoke up.

    "Why bother returning to the Council? Would it not be quicker to instead collect all the pieces of the Key, and then return, instead of returning back to the Council every time? As we have seen, the pieces are not large. If we can protect one, we should be able to protect multiple. And if we can not protect one... Well then returning to the Council will not matter then either, will it?"

  14. Isra had woken up at dawn as usual, but had decided to not head down to the common room right away. So, she was in the process of checking over her equipment, specifically her four daggers, when the staff member knocked on her door. She quickly placed two of them in her bag, and hid the other two in their usual hiding places on her body and then walked over to the door and opened it.

    "Yes?"

    "It's been requested by the female mage that you come down to breakfast."

    "Ah, of course. Thank you."

    Isra picked up her pack and and did a quick check over the room to make sure she had not forgotten anything and then headed down to the dining room. She arrived just in time to hear Zull's speech. Grumbling under her breath, she grabbed herself some food and water and then went and sat at the table where Aeron and Adri were sitting, making sure to sit close enough to be able to hear what they were saying, while still staying out of reach of the soldier.

  15. As the group reached the inn where they were staying for the night, Isra thought for a moment, and then slipped away into the rest of the crowd. Sticking her hands in her pockets, and thus giving her quick access to one of her knives, she wandered around the town. She wasn't really expecting to find any sort of network of thieves, but she figured that she may as well listen to news of what was going on. As she walked around the market place, she heard rumors of increased bandit attacks, and made a mental note to mention that to someone in the party at some point. Maybe that solider, but that would require talking to him... As she had guessed, there wasn't much of interest in this town. The presence of the mages made it a fairly civil town, and she decided it wasn't worth the time to try any harder to get more information than she could overhear. So, as the sky began to darken, she made her way back to the inn for the night.

  16. Isra stared at the new mage that had been added to the group as he passed by them. I think this is the quickest I have ever disliked anyone. He's just so irritating and I've only seen him for 30 seconds. This should be... interesting. Hopefully he's either as good as he thinks he is, or one of us takes him down a notch or two soon. Preferably the first, but either would work. I have a feeling I'm going to just have to avoid this one.

    Isra noted that the soldier now had the key. Keeping this in mind, she stepped to the side of the group so that the others could exit before she did, letting her stay in the back.

  17. And now for something *completely* different

    Tiria wandered around the market of Ilyphina, idly glancing at the stalls she passed. She was not here for the trinkets that most of these places were selling. She was starting to think that she had gotten lost when she spied the clumps of horses that marked the location of the horse traders. Walking up to the nearest one, she glanced over the horses. Seeing one that she thought would work, she called to the trader, "Sir, I'm interested in buying that dark bay horse towards the back of the herd. Would you mind if I took a closer look?"

    The trader glanced at the horse and nodded. "Ah, you mean Applejack there. You've got a good eye on you. He's one of the best I've got this year. Course, that means he won't be cheap, but if you're looking for a horse that'll keep up with you no matter what, he's the one you want."

    Tiria smiled to herself as she approached the horse. Applejack. Wonder where he got that name from. When she reached the horse, she inspected him and then looked back at the man. "He's perfect. I'll take him."

    Walking back to the barracks, Tiria gave a small sigh of relief. Finally, she was starting to feel like a proper captain of the guard. One that would actually be able to protect her charge, unlike last time.

  18. Isra relaxed as they entered the building. The safety of their surroundings was impossible to miss. She groaned inwardly at the sight of the stairs though. Even though she loved climbing, the sheer amount of climbing that appeared to be ahead of them was daunting still. Therefore, when Adri seemingly called for a break, Isra stopped walking happily.

    Since she was at the back of the group, she has just halted though, when they all started moving suddenly. The sudden motion caused her to feel as though she was about to fall, so she automatically crouched down to lower her center of balance. When it became clear that the magic would not cause her to fall, she cautiously straightened up.

    This is... strange. Nice, but unsettling. I suppose it is needed though, what with the number of stairs. I can't see these mages walking up all of them when they have a way around it.
