  1. Hmm... 7 people apparantly don't like Ike. Well, when Ike becomes ruler of the world those 7 people might have to go somewhere to be 'educated'.
  2. The purpose of a moderator is to moderate the forum. Not know lots of stuff.I was about to make a topic about this myself. I had typed out a huge rant about how stupid it is for generals to have bows as there 2nd weapon, but I got bored after the 3rd paragraph.
  3. The promoted versions of Ephraim, Eirika and Eliwood? You use none of those three?
  4. To be honest, I'll be happy with just a English port. But a remake would be fantastic. I think that a remake of Gaiden (FE 2) would be better, because it's a game more needing of a remake.
  5. If you want to be a purist you could say than falcon knights are evil and wrong in this game because in the original (and it's first remake, FE3) they promoted into dragon knights. I don't want to be a purist though, I want falcon knights! I do want to be able to promote my pegasus knights into dragon knights, but I want a falcon knight (or two) as well, for variety.
  6. Maybe it'll be one of those 'special event' items where you get the item by downloading it from a Wii disk (buy this game you don't really want then you'll be able to make Sheeda a falcon knight) or taking your DS and FE game somewhere strange and having something strange being done to it. Or maybe it'll make use of the Wii Shop channel or the Everybody's Nintendo Channel (downloading the item).
  7. We may like Ike, but Roy will forever be our boy.
  8. FE 10, I find it to be FE 9 but even better. In my opinion FE 9 was just giving us a taste of what is the come - it was the starter, whereas FE 10 is the main course. That makes feck all sense, but it sounds cool.
  9. Exactly. I presume Rath is been compared to Rebbecca and Wil because they're bow users. In that case, why not add the warriors Batre, Dorcas and Geitz to the poll? Also add blade lord Lyn.I'll vote for Rebbecca, because she's a speed demon (she can dodge the dragon), a killing machine and the best bow unit I've ever had. Rath being able to counter attack isn't that great. If you use your snipers right then they shouldn't be getting attacked direct, besides, Rebbecca just dodges everything thrown at her so it doesn't matter anyway.
  10. Its always amusing to give people fake ways to get Marth that are always stupidly hard to acheive (that's what people used to do for getting Luigi in Super Mario 64). Such as 'complete the entire game without using the d-pad'. Funny stuff. At least when FE DS comes out the answer to 'is Marth in this game' will actually be 'yes', although they probably won't believe it since they've been tricked countless times before.
  11. Even on highest setting on hard mode?
  12. Apparantly you can't do this in the main game (see 'items' section).
  13. It's more like "why is Marth called Hector? And why is Roy called Eliwood?" and then there's "what button do I press to dodge?".
  14. You only think Blazing Sword is the first game in the series if you're an idiot who goes onto Fire Emblem forums and creates 100 threads titled "iz rOY in dis game?".
  15. No, not the green NPCs, that's the GBA FEs, not Gaiden. In FE 2: Gaiden villagers are a sort of 'trainee' class, which is very similar to the trainee/pupil/recruit (Ross, Ewan and Amelia) from Sacred Stones. You are supposed to train them, yes. They start out weak (like the trainee classes from Sacred Stones) but if you level them up high they become excellent units. You get a choice of what to promote them into, you can promote them into either an archer, a mage, a mercenary or a cavalier (knight in this game). You promote them using angel statues which you find dotted around the game, in the early game you find one in the Theif Shrine. I reccomend you level up the villagers to level 20 before promoting them, that way you get the most out of them. You should take advantage of the Theif Shrine to level up your units (the enemies respawn). This can be tedius so I reccomend playing on easy mode (you do this by pressing select and start on the title screen - check the Serenes Forest page to confirm this) which doubles your experience earned.P.S: if we need to, we should continue our FE Gaiden conversion via private messaging. That way the thread won't go off track.
  16. Swordmasters aren't getting much praise in this thread are they? Their hair isn't cool, they can't see very well, they die in one hit, they haven't got good defence, they have good dodging ability but that doesn't matter since taking no damage > dodging a lot and their coolish animations are irrevelevent. And there's me thinking people on this forum liked swordmasters. On topic reply in bold in the quote.
  17. Thanks for telling me. I've fixed it now. The second link now links to Fire Emblem Gaiden (as it should do).
  18. It had no subtitle so Smash Bros players could think it was the first ever game in the Fire Emblem series, and that it featured Roy and his sister, Marth. Promotion of ignorance.
  19. You can an English version of Fire Emblem 6: Sealed Sword pretty easily (as a patched ROM). If you click the link here then you'll be linked to a very useful Youtube video which gives you a step-to-step tutorial on how to get FE 6 in English; including how to download the ROM, play the ROM and how to patch it into English. Also you can play an English version of Fire Emblem 2: Gaiden here, you don't need to download anything - you just play the game straight from the website. It's an excellent game, but you might find it weird if you're extreamly accustomed to the GBA games. It might seem unusual at first, but give the game a chance and you may be suprised about how much you enjoy it. Also look at the Serenes Forest page and at Gamefaqs for advice on the game.
  20. "I don't like healers in this game" would of sufficed, Mr. Gamefaqs Comedian.
  21. Well, they do have... OK yeah, pretty much. But you have to admit that swishy thing they do is cool. They also usually have hair that covers one eye, which enhances coolness (pro) at the cost of less visability (con).
  22. I do know, my incredibly high ego tells me that fact everyday. You merely confirmed the fact.On topic: someone please vote for bards/dancers/herons and bishops. It's not nice for them to be left out.
  23. Well, I suppose paladins are technically the best class because they're the most balanced. There can't really be a best class. Each class has it's own pros and cons. For example, swordmasters are fast and have high skill, but have low defence. Or generals have high low speed and movement, but have high defence and strength. That's what makes the FE classes have so much variety. You shouldn't use use one class, you should use as many as you can. This is because each and every class plays a different, yet vital, role in any FE team.
  24. I'll have that spot, if you don't mind.
