  1. Reasons to not migrate to SF for mafia

    • I lose my absurdly high post count and moderator status
    • Still keep the multinational playerbase
    • I prefer smaller communities with less subforums cause i'm weird like that
    • :B

I'll come back and lurk or post when I get an itch to play Fire Emblem again though.

Also, welcome back to SF Mafia! I'm glad to see more TWBB Ambassadors coming to visit~

you've been a member here for longer than I have . Good job m8

Thanks! The UI changed from what I last remember, and even then it still looked good. I think you guys are spoiled and don't realized it until you feast your eyes on the lime green and black/brown of twbb. :B

Since this topic has already been derailed though, I have to ask, when did post counts get scrubbed from this forum? I never cared about it much here, but I remember it being kinda of a hot topic when i was around. Didn't know it was ever done away with though.

Edit: Quaetam will be our champion.

  2. Cool, I remembered my password.

lol @ a site advertising without being involved in the community at all (this is really kind of disrespectful imo but if people are having fun then it's all good) then people immediately causing an argument

To be fair, the rest of us didn't know about this thread until new people showed up. :B I agree that advertising is rather disrespectful but that wasn't anyone's intention.

I'm sorry that drama went down that shouldn't have happened. We're not all THAT bad. :B

  3. My favorite and the one that sticks out the most, besides the Main Theme, is Pelleas' Theme (whatever it's called). It's the music that would kick in when Pelleas would enter conversation when the Micaiah's party was still in Daein.

    Someone know what I mean?

  4. Another episode should be coming out soon; they are actually finishing up on filming chapter 3. The reason for the delay on ep 2 is that the creaters are possibly being picked up by another web site and if that happens, then they would fund TWBB production and let them run independently and the episodes will be featured on their site.

  5. Anyone wonder where I've been (doubt it)? Yeah I just slowly lost interest here where it came to where I kinda just stopped coming back. But I may come back and maybe frequent some more. Anything big happen in like the last month?

  6. I've read the Bible and I'm not at all religious. As Little Al said, the Fire Emblem series makes use of a lot of mythological references. I would think it very likely that the use of the names Kain and Abel was intentional, but I doubt the developers had any special motivations behind it. I think that your relating the characters to a band created in 1999 is a bit of a stretch, religion and mythology are common sources of inspiration for a variety of media. Both Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones and Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone took the idea of a three headed dog from Greek mythology, but I wouldn't consider that a connection between the two.

If your interested, a list of more historical references used in the series can be found here.

I know that Nintendo had no intention of relating them to the band, I just thought to point a random connection for fun. The Biblical reference was the serious one I was pointing out.

    And it's Sorcerer's Stone. :<

  7. (I do/try not preach in this)

Okay, I just noticed this about the first two cavaliers/horse men/whatever that we get in this game and I though it was kinda weird that they are named after Cain and Abel from Chapter 4 of Genesis, which is the first book in the Bible. Now, I doubt any of you have read the Bible, I myself have only read Chapter 4 of Genesis, but for something else that's interesting...

People that know and are into the band Avenged Sevenfold (A7X) may or may not know that they are named after a part of Chapter Four of Genesis, where Cain is banished after killing his brother Abel, and God puts a curse on Cain where if anyone where to kill Cain (to end his misery or something), then that person would be punished Seven times over, or Avenged Sevenfold. It also happens that A7X has a song titled "Chapter Four" which is about Chapter Four of Genesis.

So Kain and Abel are connected to Avenged Sevenfold through the Bible. Thoughts? Do you think this was intentional (by that, I mean with the Bible part)?

  8. OK, I got a question. Before you play the chapter (the one where you invade the camp with the Bengion Senators), Soren suggests to NOT kill the fleeing Senators as it may cause problems in the future. Well, I didn't bring Heather with me into the chapter and those Senators were carrying some pretty appetizing drop items. Well, I killed them; no regrets.

My question is: what are the consequences, if any, for killing the Senators? This is my second playthrough, but I don't remember since it has been awhile.
