I think FE7 would be the best although you might want to do some of the newer ones if you don't really want to be thrown into the deep end. Some of the newer games with a turnwheel-esqe mechanic might be good, you can but a cap on how many times you use it and decrease it as you get more used to ironmanning

This sounds like a cool idea but I have no idea how to code it. Maybe have a default state for the sword and have it change if there is a certain item in the inventory.
