  1. Luigi's Mansion 3: I am a Big Luigi's mansion fan, and this looks pretty good. (Haven't played dark moon.)

Astral Chain: Looks like a mix between Bayonetta and Nier: Automata, plus I am convinced Platinum can't make bad games.

Animal Crossing New Horizons: Don't really have much to say about this one, looks pretty good.

Fire Emblem Three Houses: At first I wasn't really onboard, but after the e3 trailer (Which basically confirmed thanibomb's leaks, which is good.) and the treehouse gameplay, I am definitely onboard.

Doom Eternal: My favorite part of Doom (2016) was how fast it was, this game looks like they thought that Doom (2016) was too slow.

The Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild 2: If I need to tell why I am excited, you probably haven't played breath of the wild.

Pokemon Sword And Shield: Pokemon is my favorite video game franchise and this looks pretty good.

The Legend Of Zelda Link's Awakening: The original is one of the only Zelda games I have not played yet, and this game looks amazing.

Banjo In Smash: Don't give a shit about the Dragon Quest characters, but Banjo? DAMN.

Hollow Knight Silksong: Hollow Knight is one of the best metroidvanians I have played, and from the looks of it this is as good or even better.

Ori And I don't remember the name: Ori and the blind forest is another amazing metroidvania and this one looks even better.

    Mario Maker 2: Mario Maker.

Final Fantasy VII Remake: Final fantasy vii is one of the best Final Fantasy games (but ix is better) and I am excited to replay this one.

    • Serges in Mega Man X2 - All you have are platforms moving up and down above spikes while the boss barrages you. He hits hard, his attacks are hard to dodge and it takes time until you get used to moving around the platforms without falling over or being knocked by an attack.

Serges is easy, use giga impact on the first phase, then jump on his robot walk to the edge then spam charged sonic slicers.

  3. Kaiser Sigma (Mega Man X3)

The hitbox is so small its damn near impossible to hit him with any weapon that isn't the X-Buster, and when you hit him you barely do any damage. I have played through this game twice, but I have never beat this fight before. (That's mostly because I only tried a few times before I got pissed and replayed Mega Man X for 50th time.)

That robot and mermaid from Cuphead.

    !@%? these !@%?ing fights.

You can. The basic premise of the 2nd game is that the player lost the "first war against the aliens" early on in the campaign. So, its almost as if the first game never happened.

You'll miss some references (Bradford is the same guy in both games, Lily Shen is the daughter of the original Engineering guy, and so on) but nothing major.

    Cool!

Both XCOM games are excellent, but if I had to choose one I would probably pick the 2nd because it is a bit more refined. However, the two games are different enough to warrant playing both (the first has XCOM defending Earth from Aliens, and the second has the XCOM resistance rise up against their Alien overlords). There are also some features and enemies in the first game that don't appear in the second, and vice versa.

Can I play XCOM 2 before the first one? (Thanks for the answer btw:)

I love the gameplay mechanics in this game, and the characters and humor can be very cute and fun. The movement actions are a little wonky with how you can run up to an enemy and then run back to any point of cover that's within your initial movement range, but it feels great to chain team jumps and combo abilities and status afflictions into reaction shots. Biggest issue with this game is how slow character progression feels. This is a 20 hour game and you can't meaningfully change a character's strengths and weaknesses. Unlike Fire Emblem where any unit can become good if you just keep investing in them. Also Mario can't be removed from your three-person party so you can never get too creative with team loadouts. Overall the gameplay feels too samey for a game this length in my opinion. There's also a ton of challenging bonus content in the game itself that I barely scratched the surface of. I can see it's on a very big sale now on the eshop, so I'd take the plunge if this game already has you interested.

It is always on sale, I am probably going to pick it up this sale, if I don't i'll probably pick it up next time. Thanks for the response.

If you want a complete free, open source, turn-based strategy game, I recommend Battle for Wenoth (Website, Steam). It has been around for years and has tons of single player and multiplayer content. If the official stuff isn't enough, there's also tons of User-Made Content (UMC) available as well.

Never heard of this game before, I think i'll check it out.

Both for me. Because there are things that both do better than the other. Imo, PoR had the better writing overall while RD had the better gameplay. RD had better art while PoR had better supports. And so on. They're both my favorite FE games and two of my favorite games of all time.

I agree, but the biggest reason why I prefer Path Of Radiance over Radiant Dawn is that I really dislike how Radiant Dawn is split into different parts. Still a great game.

  7. I am relatively new to strategy games and I want to branch out from Intelligent Systems. Any recommendations?

Games that interest me. (Tell me if they are good.)

    Wargroove

    Into The Breach

    Final Fantasy Tactics

    Final Fantasy Tactics Advance

    Valkyria Chronicles

    Xcom 1+2

    Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle

Tactics Ogre The Knight Of Lodis

Fire. But I can't vote it because you didn't properly split up anima into its three types. I don't like all three equally, and honestly, I doubt a lot of people do, so I recommend splitting anima up into fire, thunder, and wind.

I thought people would prefer if I put them all under anima. Sorry
