They could also put an ascended/rearmed woman (or two, if they do it like the past Archanea banner and do two Asset Heroes) to have more women, cause unfortunately I think Vaida is "waifu material" enough for them to put her as the "woman slot", for them the priority of adding her might be the same of adding Dart or Geitz or whatever (which for me is a pity cause I like her a lot).
I could also see one banner (not necessarily the next one) being Marcus (assuming they pick his FE7 over his FE6 one, I think they will since the FE7 roster is ending and maybe cause he is younger in FE7) + Lowen + one Asset Hero (I bet on Ninian, since she has that thing with Eliwood and both Marcus and Lowen are related to Pherae) + a character that might be a Rearmed Hero, though I could see them putting Dart (for the "connection with Rebecca, that is from Pherae) or Oswin on the last slot too instead of a Rearmed, if they didn't care about a mostly male banner.
Ephidel or Brendam as the GHB, with the other being the GHB on the next banner (guess Lundgren is also an option but I think he might be saved for a banner with Wallace, idk, not sure if they care about the connections that much).

At this point, most of them are non-playable and/or already have FE6 versions, but the main ones could be distributed across three batches.

I knew Sophia was among the most popular of FE6 (that's why I said "even Sophia" after listing Cecilia and Lalum, but even then never figured she'd get two alts on a spam of 7 months, since she had just gotten her Halloween alt at the end of 2021) but didn't know Cecilia was too lol. In any case I find it a bit weird that they went with an all FE6 banner, putting characters that are not even related to the theme, instead of making it half FE6 and half anything else (I mean, it could even have been some FE7 cast since Eliwood was there), specially when we have so many characters that are WAY more popular and also related to the theme, but alas, IS likes to make bizarre decisions sometimes so guess there's no point for me to find the reason behind them.

Personally, the only thing I find questionable is that Binding Blade already had a dedicated Bridal Banner (the one with Zelot, Juno and her sisters, and Saul; with Catria as the outlier), so why do a second one then?
That's what I found weird, why make a whole banner about Roy's paired endings when they could've put characters like Dorothea, Sylvain, Camilla (not that I'd like it but anyway), Hector or (if they didn't want a third groom on the banner and wanted just 2 titles) some FE7 characters (to match Eliwood) in instead? Also your point about it being the second FE6 bridal banner in a row was a good one too, I had forgotten it. I wonder if they were trying to make the bridal banner become a FE6 thing like how the summer banner is sorta 3 Houses and Heroes' thing or how the New Year banner is Heroes' thing (and has been Fates'), but then they decided to abandon the idea in 2023? It's the only explanation I can come up with.
Well, I guess I sorta get what was their idea (even if I still question it) but I stand by my Initial point that it was a stupid idea.

Oswin is definitively high profile enough to be notably missing even if he's not the most high profile one, he even stays around on the cutscenes even if he dies! If Marcus were FE7 only I'd put them on the same level of importance.

To be fair that whole banner (the bridal one with Lalum) was stupid in first place, I never thought that characters like Lalum, Cecilia and even Sophia were that popular to the point of a "Roy's harem" (AKA a whole banner around them) being even viable, they should've made the Roy+Eliwood duo, throwed Lilina there and then used the 3 remaining slots for characters from other titles that actually have something to do with the theme.
Not invalidating your feeling though, I went from not caring at all to hating a bunch of characters with a burning passion just because of extra alts too (specially when it causes an unfair or unbalanced situation like this).
And about Elphin, It's really bizarre that he doesn't have even a silly alt or anything while someone like Bartre has 2 versions too, cause unlike a bunch of the characters we're waiting for, he's a pretty dude and not an old(er) guy or anything, it definitively feels like they're withholding him on purpouse. Hope the wait pays off and they give him a premium refreshing skill and everything when his time comes (now watch they make him like they made Nyna).

Honestly, more canon couples in general would be nice. Bartre and Karla, Clive and Mathilda, Lewyn and Erinys, etc. And if you need just a singular character for the TT+ unit, there's plenty of married men whose spouses are not seen, you could use any one of them. Brom, Alois, Etzel, Hawkeye, etc.
Largo and Calill would be cool too, or groom Canas (since he's one of the married men whose wifes we don't see too, and cause he's too cool to not have any alt). Some Igrene/Astolfo angst would be nice, or Niime/Yodel as old bittering exes (though that'll never happen lol).
We also have a bunch of womanizers or women-that-want-to-get-married for them to put, those two categories used to be part of the banner too. I'm honestly surprised that they even decided to make a FE6 harem banner over bride Dorothea or groom Sylvain (and maybe bride Ingrid to make her remember the thing with her fiance). As I said some posts ago on the thread, I'd be crazy over bride Nótt too. There's a ridiculous amount of options on these two categories (we even have the Womanizers Club or something on the Forging Bonds!)
Also, I want characters that were "teased" to be in the banner somehow or that are "missing from sets" like Leanne (because she showed up on that paralogue with bridal Nailah and Rafiel, adding groom Naesala too would be neat), Takumi (since we got Oboro and Hinata but not him) and Hector (as I already said before, because Eliwood, Lyn and Lilina are all in). Also, since we have Fjorm, I'd actually kinda like some of the other freebies here (except for Seidr), though 90% of the reasons is to see Eir in a black dress or Reggin as a bride fighting inside her mecha.

I always thought that Boey and Mae were more popular than Gray x Clair (I could be wrong though). I wouldn't be super fan of another loved themed banner with the trio Celica, Alm and Faye since that's already the SOV's Valentine banner and cause Alm and Celica are the SoV characters that are in the least need of alts (also, if we add Claire, it'll be 3 girls that like Alm on the same place), but at the same time I'd prefer this over no Valentia's banner (and it'd definitvely be better than a harem banner).
I feel like they'd probably put Clive and Mathilda on this one too (assuming most/half characters on the banner are from Valentia instead of having it be a huge mix of titles) cause they seem to like to put an older married couple (like Pent/Louise, Nailah/Rafiel, Juno/Zealot,...) even when they're not too popular. (I think Clive and Mathilda are only engaged during the story though, not actually married yet, right? But it probably doesn't matter anyway).

I feel like Roy could be really good since he's fairly smart, good at strategy and can keep his cool, maybe what puts him at a disavantage is that he's a 15 years old playing against a bunch of adults and he'd probably have less experience than a lot of them. Also I feel like as Roy plays (either pretty well or at least okayish), Merlinus would stay behind him trying to tell him what to do all the time but the advice would always be shit and uncalled for, and Roy would be screwed a bunch of times because Merlinus says his cards out loud and the other people at the table hear.

Micaiah, though, would ultimately come up on top. I mean, her absurd Luck stat has to be useful for something, right?

Oh, yeah, I always forget about the Dawn Brigade since I'm not 100% familiar with a bunch of the Tellius cast.
Elphin is definitively among the most notable ones, being a lore important character, having a role akin to Joshua and Lewyn and still being ignored somehow until now, and being a specially valuable playable unit as your refresher (even if you can opt between and Lalum, he's mentioned on the story regardless). Speaking of this, with the exception of Laylea (that is a substitute gen 2 character, so it's more justifiably ignored), Elphin is the only refresher in the series to not be playable in Heroes in any way yet (since Seadall and Rafiel have seasonals).

Yeah, I noticed! At the time I was actually convinced that the new weapon meant that he was gonna become playable whenever he died or the book ended... But then he didn't. Although to be fair, Veronica got a new weapon too when we fight her um book VI (still doesn't make me any less pissed about Bruno not being summonable).
Fafnir at least might get his OG self as a Mythic this year since It's gonna be Book V's TT + (like how Freyr got his OG alt last year) or his fallen form someday, but Bruno may never get his OG version and I'm not sure if he's popular enough to get a 3rd seasonal...

Ok, so the This month's event calendar is out (link to the calendar on the FEH's site), the bridal banner is out around the 20th (could be a day of difference depending on where you are).

In terms of character design, personality and gameplay there’s nothing separating him from the other generic dark mages in the game.
Ephidel is also a villain who is 100% a plot device and just one of Nergal's morphs (and we don't even get to fight him even though he was the most present black fang member and morph for half of the game). Even still, I think he is among the ones that notably deserve an alt and Manfroy probably deserves it more than him (although of course, neither he or Manfroy are THE one most derserving). I think Manfroy's design is different enough for them to do something cool with it.
Others that while not THE most deserving, absolutely stick out as missing from the game (list also from the top of my head, so expect obvious important people to be missing and probably an unbalance on the titles mentioned):
- Villains with a sorta important role/notable villains: Chagall, Aida, Darin.
- The very-early-game gang : Aideen, Midayle, Alec, Marcus both in FE6 and FE7, Franz, OG Boyd, maybe Lowen,... (Not gonna mention the very-early-game gang for FE6 cause most of them are not even very liked so is not such as outrage for most of them to not be in as it was for character like Will, Sain, Kent, Vanessa or Azel to take so long to add, or as it is for the characters mentioned here to still not be in).
- Notably important characters: Oifrey, Elfin/Elphin.

Some of the highest profile ones I can think from the top of my head are Ephidel, Emperor Arvis (assuming they'll ever do this), Oifrey, Jhan, Lundgren (who is so unimportant for FE7 as a whole that may never come, but since he's Lyn mode's big bad I'd like to have him) and The Fire Dragon (which, again, might never come too since he's on the complicated situation of being a generic type of villain on FE6 and also doesn't have a human form). Also even though they're technically playable, I want OG Bruno/Zacharias and Fafnir, not random shitty and silly seasonal alt #3 (or at least a good and non silly alt).
I might have missed some more obvious examples but I didn't feel like going back to my wishlist on the Serenes Most Wanted Characters threads to remember, any obvious one I missed will be said by someone else anyway.
EDIT: Answering the question, If I had to pick THE MOST important one left, aside from the ones you said and from the ones that are in the game in some form already (like Arvis and Fafnir), I think It's arguibly Jhan, even if he only shows up at the end, he is in cahoots with Zephiel and helped him all along and is not just an underling like Ephidel, he's pretty much the co antagonist along Zephiel.

They could even have just scrapped that epilogue and left the support as it was, cause It's an alright support by itself.

Ah! Ok, they're Robin-ONLY brides, I thought they were all of the options for Robin to marry and found it odd cause I was sure he had more options.
Yeah, I don't know why not, maybe it worked with the pegasus knights as kids cause Est was a toddler so they only needed to fit two people into the screen anyway (Palla as the main unit and Catria (holding Est) as the backpack) or something, but I'm not sure, maybe I'm just trying to think of a justification where there's none... In any case, I hope they do it again someday.
That'd be pretty sick, I'd like a Nyna/Tatiana duo! That could be a nice excuse to put Mae and Boey (or just more non Alm/Celica/Whitewings SoV characters in general, they need alts) into the banner too.
Well, we just had the Awakening child banner so I think I can safely bet on it not being Robin's options, one threat is out of the way, now they just have to not make it about Byleth's or Corrin's harems too and I'm gonna be sorta alright with almost anything. Although, as much as I don't want it to be about 3 Houses and as much as I'm tired of Edelgard's alts, I always thought that a bride Edelgard would look good using something remembering her post timeskip crown (also Dorothea fits the theme and I'd admitedly would like Petra cause I like the "ethnic" bridal dresses) so I might even not mind too much if It's Byleth's harem, even if I still prefer it to not be anyone's harem and to have canon couples and characters related to the theme like we used to.

Actually, Hector can't marry Serra, their support is platonic (but I'd be happy with bride Serra either way, I could see them adding her for the laughs), I could see them adding Matthew and Leila too or (or maybe Rath and Sue as you said, since Rath is one of Lyn's options and Sue is one of Roy's, or maybe Fiora and Florina since Fiora is the only of Eliwood's romantic option to not have a bridal alt and Florina has ship teasing with Lyn, and also because they seem to like bridal pegasus sisters, a "duo" with the 3 FE7 pegasus sisters as brides would be pretty neat).
I actually wouldn't mind a "Hector's potential wives" banner since I already want Groom Hector anyway, and he has only 3 romantic options (and one of which is Lyn, who already got her bridal alt), and neither a "Seliph potencial wives" one since It'd mean both a decent FE4 banner and alts for the gen 2 FE4 characters, every other banner of this type would disappoint me.
Since I spoke of pegasus sisters before, I think that - assuming they stop the "lord + harem" thing- Est and Palla might have a chance too. Also, I'd kill for bride Nyna and groom Camus.

I think I mentioned this last year but... Eirika. As the one who more or less debuted the actual Bride class the series once used, it's kinda baffling she has never been chosen for the Bridal Banner. Maybe I'm clinging to some reaching hope, but with the recent addition of an Ursula alt, who shares the same Japanese VA as Eirika, there's a non-zero chance an Eirika alt could be possible somewhere (not necessarily in this banner)... so who knows.
Eirika was on the valentines banner so maybe the voice lines were for that one (and Ursula's voice lines are the ones being released a bit later). I would be a bit disappointed if Eirika showed up on the two loved themed banners in the same year, but if it was in another year I wouldn't mind (Althought I take Eirika over the "lord + romantic options" thing any day), but maybe that's just cause I'm not Eirika's biggest fan too.

I'd like to see Mae and Boey in more interesting banners such as Halloween, beach or even valentine but as an official couple a bridal banner is always a possibility for them.
I think Celine might possibly get an alt since aside from Ivy she seems the royal most likely to attend such parties. And if she's there it be a good chance to add louis. On the other hand maybe they'll save those two for the tea banner.
I wouldn't like seeing Hapi on such a banner but her cynicism might make a fun contrast between all the lovey dovey behavior.
My favored addition for a bridal banner would be an Erk and Serra duo hero...with Erk having a ball and chain on his leg so he can't run away. It also explain why they'd be an armor unit. It be having a bit of fun with the concept as well as give more time to the wacky duo.
I'd actually like Boey/Mae or Serra/Erk a lot! They could take the opportunity and add groom Hector too(I mean, we already have Lyn, Eliwood and Lilina, groom Hector would be pretty awesome), I'll be free to die in piece when they do this.
With people mentioning the lord + romantic options thing and bride Camilla, I remembed how odd I always found that Camilla and Azura don't have bridal alts yet... I truly hope they won't do a "Corrin + Romantic options" thing (in which we could also expect F!Corrin using a bridal dress that somehow shows both her inner tights and her feet lol). That'd be the absolute worst scenario for me...
I'd also like Dorothea, as in alt hell as she is, she does fit the theme, would be one more good refresher unit (probably) and I feel like they'd give her a nice sophisticated dress (the dresses are half the reasons why I like the bridal banner so...).
Also, something I mentioned in a thread looong ago: I'd really like bridal Nótt and Ótr (whether they're a duo or just both there), in a post book V scenario where they detest each other and both have different priorities (like Ótr wants to get out of the festival and see if Fafnir was summoned to Askr or something while Nótt keeps gushing over other men at the festival, but having Ótr there pisses her off) but were forced on the festival together so they keep fighting, It'd be absolute comedic gold (and I also think they'd look nice on wedding clothes). That's not very likely to happen of course, but maybe just Bridal Nótt is possible since she fits the theme.
Wish they start to add canon couples and characters that are related to the theme again instead of the tiring lord + romantic options thing...

Ok, so I haven't been doing these threads for a while as I haven't been very active here on the past month or so, but anyway:
Now It's about the upcoming Bridal Banner, which is probably my favorite seasonal theme, so I had to come back (both for the forum and for the game) for this!
We still don't have a specific date for the banner but it should drop around the 19th, if it goes as on the past two years. The next Event Calendar should be released soon telling us the exact date anyway.
Without further ado, what are your expectations, theories and wants (or not wants) for the upcoming banner?

Above all, the worst version of FE is that which isn't fun, either because it's boring or unplayable, or both.
- The choices can be as extreme as something that directly results on an important character's death. Even then, they'll opt for being ambiguous and after this specific choice is made, they'll stop mentioning this character at all in a way that wouldn't be believeable both if he was alive or dead. Another example would be one where the villain thretean you to give him an important item and you can chose to do it or not but no matter what you do, no one will mention the item again to avoid having to reveal with who it is now and dealing with your choice.
- the "bathhouse peeping scene" can be a whole "bathhouse peeping game mode/mini game" that you're forced to play in between some maps.
Also, the characters do weird and out of place pop culture references, we have character whose gimmick is liking Lil Nas X, other that calls himself a Taylor Swift stan and another that has an Only Fans. It's not even supposed to be funny, just "hip and modern". Also every mention to alcohol is switched to "Nyan Cat" to "censor" it, so we have a character that is clearly an alcoholic but everyone refere to him as "being addicted to Nyan Cat memes", again, It's not played for laughs.

There is a battle forecast, and it's actually well-made and helpful. However, it's actually explained in-universe that the main character is a master tactician because they can see potential futures, which is an ability that they only have because of a specific magical macguffin. Said macguffin gets stolen by the enemies after chapter 3 and you don't get it back until halfway through the final map of the game, so you're playing through almost all of the game without it.
Also when you get it back on the end, the enemy has undermined it on purpouse without your knowledge so now you have a fucked up battle forecast without knowing, unless you learned to make the calculations well enough to notice.

Oh! Just saw the silhouettes! Knowing that the "lord + harem occupying the whole banner" thing isn't happening this year is the biggest delight!
Embla definitively looks like the opposite of the theme, but that for me counts as matching the theme somehow since they like to put an "odd one out" character (like Nifl on the sumner banner, etc). I quite like the idea of having her here, actually, also for some reason I have the impression that they'll give her a nice dress, and the big veil is looking nice for now too (speaking of the veil, it's silhouette is grey/transparent instead of black, had they ever done that? Also, if it were black, it'd have been harder to guess that it's Embla since we'd only be able to see two parts of the halo behind her back, making it possibly look like a big and thin hair bow).
The other one is definitively Alcryst, with that ruffled tall collar. Thought it was Alfonse for a sec but nope.
The unit on the right tends to normally be the TT+, right? Not sure if I'm remembering it right, but if I am then Embla is the free unit! Hell yeah!
Well, good that I didn't spend orbs on the Fallen Banner yet, I'll wait until the trailer to see if I spend them there or here, if this banner ends up being too good I'll just take Nergal from there and call it a day on the Fallen Banner.
I'd really like that, probably not all of the three at once, but one or two this year would be very welcome (also, something that will never happen but would make me consider spending actual money on the game: Bride Hel, having a gorgeous black dress and disagreeing with everyone that your wedding day will be more important than your funeral, and having lines about "till death do us part" (as in, how it'll be herself to separate every couple there, since she's The Death)).
I can't figure that to be Lute even if I wanted, the hair seems too short, but now you almost made me want it ("almost" cause I don't want her getting a fourth version while most FE8 characters -AKA pretty much everyone that is not the royals, Selena or Lute herself- don't have more than one), she'd look great on a fancy tux. Speaking of that, the day they do a woman on a nice tux on this banner I'll die of happines (as much as I like the banner for the dresses, some more women looking as sharp as V!Effie are always welcome).
LOL! It'd definitively be! Embla would have to be the lead since she has been a backpack for NY Askr already.
Fuck, it has been THAT long?! I'm pissed at the SoV shafting too... I'll choose to be delusional until the trailer drops and hope they put someone from SoV here.
