Huh? I'm pretty sure he moves in all his encounters. Well except maybe the Paralogue. But other than that, he aggros, so that extra movement his helping him. I think he even moves in the underground level, though maybe Flame Emperor yeets him before he has a chance to enemy phase anyone.

    1. On Normal/Hard he doesn't move for his first 2 encounters.  All thereafter and in all his Maddening fights, he does attack anyone in range.

    2. No, he doesn't leave before map ends.  Either he drops, or all his goons drop, whichever one comes first.  He can and will move to attack anyone (assuming you're playing Maddening).

  2. If this hypothetical game is in traditional FE style: NO.  Turn- and Grid-based SRPGs just don't work well with the whole 'choose your own path' type games.

However, if we are talking about a semi-spinoff game in the vein of Heroes or a full spinoff like Warriors, then it could work.  Thing is that text-based games (as far as I am aware) are nearly only story based.  FE is not a story based game, it is a gameplay based game with a (sometimes) decent story.

  3. On the continuing story arc:  doesn't matter much to me. Probably just going to be a bit of Fjorm and Surtr having a chat.

On Lifis:  bad axe, useless A Slot. Windsweep in the Grails section is decent.

On the new Seals:  Spur Atk/Def is about useless. Steady breath is pretty good though.

Overall:  Steady Breath + a fistful of orbs is good enough for me.

  4. Hard pass for me.

I don't really need any of the fodder they have, I don't like any of the characters particularly much...

But in all seriousness, I feel like things such as pirates and mercenaries and ninjas have been sanitized so much by popular media that a lot of people forget that these people weren't ... well, they weren't necessarily good people.

    {Sarcasm} What-do-ya-mean? Pirates where great people! Wonderful business partners for the local! Loot some treasure being sent off to some random king, maybe catch a couple of pretty lasses, and off to market they go, stirring up wealth for those they trade with! {Sarcasm}

  6. (fact, not unpopular opinion) I've been playing the FE series for more than a decade. I've played all but the first 3 games in the series multiple times over.

(unpopular opinion 1) I still hate Jagen/Oifey-archetypes and I dislike Est-archetypes. Most people hate one or the other, but not both.

    (2) The Snes games where great, GBA games are the worst, GC/Wii games are good, DS games where eh, 3DS games where bad, and 3H I have no strong opinions about one way or the other.

  7. (Going to deviate from the present discussion topic)

Currently I'm playing a lightly modded Witcher 3.  I'm approaching the end of that, and there after, I don't know what I'll do.  Maybe go back to GBA FE?

Maybe attempt to find a good Berwick Saga Translation...  Am I going crazy, but isn't there a thread here on the Forums for that translation?  Time to do some digging...

  8. For me, Remakes are a tricky topic.  If it is to faithful, it's little more than a port.  If not faithful enough, it's not a remake, basically a different game based on the idea of the old one.

To faithful:  FE SD & (to a lesser extent) FE 12

Not faithful enough:  Pokémon Let's Go

       Just faithful enough:  FE SoV

Also touching on what people above are saying:  it also defends on the age of the first game &/or the price they're pushing for.  Example: if Game Freak pulls another BW2 or Ultra SuMo for their full $60 price tag, I'll be cross with them.  To a lesser extent, a remake of any FE from the Wii era and onward is to soon for a Remake, but not to early for a Port, and I expect them to not ask for more than $40 for said Port.

  9. Salutations, one and all. I'm Ouzyxol (call me Ouzy if you want). I've been a user of SF and a lurker on the Forums for, oh, about 7~8 years now. I just moved, and decided 'why not make a SF account'.

So yes, here am I! Seems to me most other people come here to make their first post. I'll probably be on from time to time, poking about, seeing what's going on. Who knows, maybe I'll someday find some interesting topic to add to the Forums.
