  1. Well I was thinking more TV specials when I posted this topic but… I mean why limit it? Tis the season right? I know! That song is so good! When they skipped it on Disney Plus I was like… wait what?
  2. I’ll give you that. Hey Arnold just has a special place in my heart because the ending makes me cry. It’s very powerful.
  3. The ONLY reason I didn’t pick it is because while it is a Christmas Special, it’s a stand alone episode. Historically, it came out BEFORE the Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show so it may be that it’s non-canon.
  4. In my opinion, no matter the TV show, it’s almost guaranteed that the Christmas special is one of the best episodes! They’re cheery, uplifting always have a happy ending, there’s Christmas truces between protagonists and antagonists, (peace on earth and good will towards men am I right?) or some grumpy person who learns the true meaning of Christmas. We know the tropes, we know the morals, we know the soundtracks, etc. So in your opinion which one is the best of the best? For me it’s between the Hey Arnold and the Bump in the Night Christmas Special. On the one hand, you have a CLASSIC and ICONIC Hey Arnold episode with so many feel good moments and an ending that just makes you cry tears of joy. Even though I know it’s about to happen I always feel a tear welling up when Mai comes to the door and says “Father?” Then you have one of the zaniest and wackiest Christmas Special ever produced in Claymation. It’s got catchy songs, compelling character arch’s and one off characters for the show that are both hilarious and memorable in Joachim the worm and Dorris the Hummingbird. It’s just a bucket of fun! Honorable mention goes to the Charlie Brown Christmas Special. Easily an instant classic.
  5. So I’m on gamefaqs Politics board and I decided I wanted to bring up an issue that upset me on the board. Basically I brought up my concern about how violence against women campaigns can create a blind spot where LGBT people are concerned because when you enforce a male perpetrated violence narrative, the female perpetrators and male victims get unequal treatment and this is a problem in relationships where you don’t need a statistics study to make the claim that 100% of the victims are male OR 100% of the perpetrators as female. Consequently I advocate for more gender neutral campaigns concerning violence. In response someone called me a virtue signaling straight conservative man who didn’t actually care about LGBT people. There’s just one problem… I’m not straight or conservative. I found the idea that someone would try and weaponize heterosexuality to discredit my opinion disturbing so I basically made a post saying that it wasn’t right because it was heterophobic. I mean what else do you call presuming beliefs of behaviors of someone in a discriminatory fashion because they’re straight? People took issue with my use of the term as trolling and some people doubled down and accused me of lying about my sexual orientation to bolster my credibility. I tried to report the people doing this for bullying and I ended up being suspended because the moderators sided with the people doing the bullying. I find it absolutely incredible that a website as large and famous as gamefaqs would side with blatant bullies.
  6. Seems like there’s an overwhelming amount of support for Vanessa. I just found out using a guide there’s ANOTHER energy ring in Chapter 14 so I could always give one to both Moulder and Vanessa. Edit: I thought I was adding to my previous post and double posted by mistake. My apology to the mods.
  7. Interesting reasoning. However, this is a draft run and Ewan is not on my team.
  8. Enter Ewan with an energy ring in tow and I got a serious dilemma here… who do I use it on? Im thinking Erika because… at 10 Strength, she’s barely damaging anything or Moulder who at 11 Magic could use an extra +1 range for warp and physic. Then there’s Neimi and Vanessa who have 11 and 14 strength respectively but could always use more damage. Who of these 4 would you use it on?
  9. Drafting: 1. This draft is for 3 players. 2. Eirika/Ephraim, Franz, Vanessa, Colm, Amelia, Orson, Tethys, and Myrrh are free for all to use. 3. Seth is banned from all use. (Except the Prologue) 4. The game will be played on Hard Mode Erika’s Route. Rules: 1. Undrafted units may recruit characters, rescue undrafted units and NPCs, trade, visit Shops and Armories and dig up items in the desert, and meatshield. 2. Undrafted units may not do anything not listed above, including but not limited to building Supports, and opening Doors or Chests. 3. Map shopping is allowed. 4. Skirmishes/use of the Tower or Ruins is disallowed. Skirmishes that are blocking your path may be activated and immediately fled from. 5. Defend Chapters are tied for turn count for each player. 6. Amelia and Ewan may be brought to level 10 of their Tier 0 class in Tower. All items gained from this must be tossed. 7. After the teams are drafted, the players enter a trade phase where they can exchange their team members with one another as long as both players accept the trade. Penalties: 1. Undrafted units have a 4 turn penalty, per unit per chapter. 2. Seth has a special 8 turn penalty per chapter. Teams: Team 1: Innes, Gilliam, Saleh, Natasha, Joshua, Forde, Duessel, L’arachel Team 2: Moulder, Ross, Artur, Kyle, Gerik, Rennac, Neimi, Cormag Team 3: Lute, Tana,, Syrene, Dozla, Marisa, Ewan, Knoll, Garcia Notes: -This draft was modified from a 4 player format -This draft features a player who has never played sacred stones before but was given advice on which units to select (Team 1) -Team 2 is being run by me and I have never beaten Sacred Stones before. Furthest I’ve gotten is Cormag’s joining chapter on Erika Route. -Franz, Vanessa and Colm were made communal so that more experienced players don’t get the advantages these units provide (Early mount, flying and thief utility) over less experienced players and from there we needed a number divisible by 3 so I threw Amelia in there because she sucks and would likely be drafted last anyways. -I’m permitting meatshielding not so that it can be abused but so that Iundrafted units backed into a corner don’t give turn penalties for accidentally initiating unarmed combat. So from the teams listed above, who do you predict is going to win? -Defend Chapter rules were modified so that the end of game turn counter could be used to mark progress.
