  1. Welcome to Serenes Forest! I think you'll enjoy it here. We're all a bit crazy, but don't let that discourage you~

And don't worry about your English. You are perfectly understandable, and you'll get better at English as you talk with native speakers. <3

  2. North Carolina is honestly just an absurdly terrible state in general. The last time they ratified their constitution for anything related to marriage, it was to ban interracial marriage. So bleh. My kind will eventually see equality, I hope. I really do wish that some politician would go and cite the parts of the bible that are much more clear about things that would make a much better point. Such as how if you wear two garments of different cloth as a woman, you are to be stoned to death. Honestly, I wonder what hope there is in a world with so much ignorance and hatred...

  3. Unless the LPer is a transwoman who has completed vocal therapy, you aren't going to get someone who can read male and female voices perfectly. The key to a proper female voice is resonance, not pitch. Its annoying when guys go falsetto because they think its pitch... Anyway. I don't mind if they are reading narrative sections themselves. I think that it can be annoying to have all the character's lines voiced, but things like the pre-chapter introductions in Fire Emblem I like to hear voiced, narrator style.

  4. Personally, I feel that Assassin is a completely useless class for Colm. his stat potential isn't super high even with 20/20, due to how easy it is to be RNG-screwed out of important stats with him. He is far more powerful than Rennec however, and makes for the ideal Rogue. This is especially important if you are playing on Hard and are attempting to loot the entirety of the Lagdou Ruins. Good luck using Rennec for that.

  5. Um, hello, and welcome to Serenes Forest! I do hope that you'll enjoy your time here! You seem to have a good head on your shoulders and some sensible interests~

That your post title is a references to classic Dragon Quest amuses me ever so much. I think that we'll get along great!

  6. I... can't really bring myself to be excited about this installment at all. Maybe if there was a PC release of it, since then we'll inevitably see reverse engineering after the servers die, but like... as it stands... I just can't see this as a Dragon Quest game. Dragon Quest is by definition, a series that adheres to tradition very strictly. Its the opposite to Final Fantasy, which constantly reinvents itself.

Just the same, I'll probably play it anyway, due to fanship... but... sigh.

  7. I prefer strawberry crush myself, but that's because I like strawberry everything. Anyway, welcome to Serenes Forest~ FE13 is looking to amazing.

  8. Welcome to Serenes Forest! We're all a little crazy, but don't let that offput you. I do hope you can find stuff to talk about here!

As for Fire Emblem, don't worry about the order you've played things in. That you're exploring the series is all that matters. I totally agree with you on the things about FE11 though...

    I personally think that being casual about the playing makes the games more enjoyable. At least from the story side of it. Everyone has their own skill levels and their own ways of having fun! Not everyone will agree here though... ^^;;;

Anyway, your spelling and grammar are completely awesome! So like, don't worry about that. At any rate, hi back!

  9. I'm not sure if you are aware, but there is a Fire Emblem dice game system already in existence. Though it relies on actual game mechanics, so its probably a bit slow. Anyway, I'm totally on board with this idea.

My suggestion is to make a custom continent in an alternate world, so you have free reign over the history of the world and such. And since FE13 makes alternate realities canon to each other with the dimensional gateway, I think it works out with this!

Anyway, I'd really really love to play in a Fire Emblem roleplay, and this looks like it could have potential. If you need any help in developing ideas, I'd be more than happy to be your girl!

  10. dafuq is that

The Pokewalker is a Tomogatchi esque accessory that allows you to capture pokemon from other games while on the go, based on the number of steps you've taken. You can take a Pokemon out with you on the Pokewalker and they will gain exp as well as allowing you to battle random Pokemon based on the Pokewalker course you've gone on.

  11. Okay, well... if you're looking for a serious amount of gameplay...

Then FireRed or LeafGreen are the way to go. They are remakes of the 1st generation games with 3rd generation mechanics. The original map has been updated and a new region is available to explore. This is for GBA.

SoulSilver or HeartGold are also good choices for the DS. I would suggest buying them used if you want them to be cheap however, as the games normally retail for 40 dollars as a result of the Pokewalker accessory. The games have been updated to 4th gen mechanics and everything about them is way more pretty. A few things have been redesigned, and new things such as a new route, Safari zone and story events are also present.

If you're looking to get current on Pokemon, I highly suggest getting Black or White version. They are essentially an entirely different experience far removed from everything else in the series. The story is actually interesting (at least for a Pokemon game), and half of the massive region doesn't open up until the post game, leaving you with tons to do long after you finish the storyline. Additionally, no old Pokemon show up at all until the post game, meaning its a completely fresh experience wherein you are playing blind, like everyone did the very first time we ever played Pokemon.

Those are my recommendations for the main series. There are a few other games out there that are fun though. The Pokemon Ranger games for DS are rather enjoyable, but far different from a standard Pokemon experience. And both the gamecube games, Colosseum and XD: Gale of Darkness have complete storylines and interesting battling mechanics.

I-I really hope that I helped..!

  12. Well, as far as what I know being a stalker on Siliconera.... The game is a crossover between Pokemon and Nobunaga's Ambition. The game was developed with oversight from Game Freak, but actually by Tecmo Koei. The game will feature 6 vs. 6 tactical battles involving Pokemon moves and every Pokemon (or nearly so) from Generation V. The game takes place in basically the Sengoku era, with the heroes of the real Sengoku era being characters. The player character can form bonds with Pokemon in order to use them in battle. The game involves capturing 17 provinces and their capitals in order to unite Ransei into a grand kingdom. And that's really all I know. Hope I helped.

  13. Oh quit whining, boys. Your testicles aren't anywhere near as sensitive as even our breasts. Seriously. And our breasts are constantly running into other things, despite their incredible sensitivity. As for childbirth... so you'd really like to feel as through something the size of a fist was being forced through your urethra? Since that's basically the comparison here.

  14. But aren't we forgetting about how the language of now will be incomprehensible by then? It'd be like the absurdly stupid things we say in latin sounding totally badass because they are in latin. But you know, with Pegasi and Wyverns and stuff.
