  1. Which is funny because back then Nintendo was known for intentionally delaying games so releases wouldn't clash with each other 😕
  2. Thanks! I like how they named the site after Serenes from the Tellius games. Was this site created around the time PoR came out?
  3. You might be right. Hopefully the Tellius games will get remastered or remade and will get the higher popularity they deserve.
  4. Welcome! Who’s your favorite FE9 character?
  5. I've been playing fire emblem for 15 years, although i haven't played many games in the series. My favorite is PoR, and I also played Blazing Blade which i enjoyed. I prefer PoR for its better story (I remember almost nothing about FE7's plot except the main characters and taking place in Elibe). I have Three Houses which I bought for my dad because he loved PoR but he didn't seem to like it as much because of all the non-combat stuff they ask you to do in the game. Favorite character is Jill because she is busted in-game and also has arguably the best story of all the side-characters. Favorite from FE7 is Florina because she was absolutely busted in my run: I'm doing a run of FE9 right now on Normal. Still as fun as ever but very slow-paced, takes an hour on average per chapter or more. I have a copy of FE10 but it can't seem to load the fighter class properly, so it crashes whenever a fighter tries to go through a class change. I want to play through it eventually but we'll see. I'll probably play through Three Houses plus the GBA games which I started but never finished.
  6. I say this because my understanding is that when a critic reviews a game, they'll try it on the normal difficulty. If the normal difficulty is really hard (which it should be for the average critic) or seemingly unforgiving then they might dock points for it being unforgiving in their eyes, which is exactly what Gamespot did. And some reviewers might not know they changed the names in translation. And there have been tests correlating metacritic scores with sales. Here's some of them.
  7. ...would this game have sold better? Radiant Dawn has one of the lowest meta scores in the series (78 i think). Gamespot was super-harsh in their review because of how hard the game was on "normal" difficulty. A few other reviewers were too. I can see the metascore being bumped up at least a few points with the proper difficulty names. 80 or 81 looks a lot nicer than 78, even if it's just a few points difference, and we all know how much metascores can affect sales (probably the reason why awakening was a huge success). It also makes me wonder how much the series' direction would have been different today if RD sold better.
