I like to think that a true leader would sacrifice for the good of the nation, in this case their family.
-
I remember screaming "Yes!" out loud when I heard the announcement earlier today. I'm so hyped for this.
-
The primary flaw with this hypothetical is that it assumes we'll ever get another Advance Wars.
I think the idea would be neat, but he's right. It doesn't look like an Advance Wars title is coming out for awhile if at all.

Currently made him a Dread Fighter.

The question is, why wouldn't you? Safety comes first after all.

...You're joking right? Every fandom has its fair share of fangirls.

Whenever I press quote, it does nothing. What do I have to do to make it appear?
Press "Quote", and it should appear in the "Reply to this topic" box below.

I'd prefer if it's scrapped completely, unless the avatar has no significant story interaction and isn't game breaking.

I'd recommend Blazing Sword, Sacred Stones, or Path of Radiance as a good "first" game. I think Awakening is too different from the other FE games, and if possible it might be better to see what the previous FE game mechanics were like before getting used to Awakening's and maybe being disappointed that the other games don't work like Awakening.
Exactly what he said. Awakening in a sense might spoil you, and you might not end up enjoying the games that came before it. In the end, it's up to you to decide which to play first though.

Star Fox Adventure + Star Fox Assault. God how much I played these games with my friends
I am a HUGE fan of those games, especially Adventures.
I'd say Sonic Heroes, Megaman & Bass, Megaman Battle Network 4-5, and the Megaman Starforce series.
-
I know it was either Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on the Genesis, or Super Mario Bros. on the NES.
-
Definitely over-glorified by some of the newer fans. I just didn't like the story as much as some of the previous games, and the difficulty was flawed. DLC was okay, but kind of a cash-grab in my opinion. Overall, I think it's an okay FE game.

Personally I started with Sword of Seals, but I'd have to recommend Blazing Sword, because it gives tutorials at the beginning of the game. Sword of Seals assumes you already know the basics of Fire Emblem, but its not all that hard to grasp to be honest. Also, do NOT start with Thracia 776.

Indeed. It's probably the only time I enjoy gore, as disturbing as it is.

I usually never promote early, but if I had to, only for the healers. I'm looking at you Priscilla.

I actually find her character quite interesting, despite negative comments about her. She was my first choice as Chrom's wife actually.

I agree, people sometimes don't get the message when you don't type all caps. It's quite frustrating sometimes...

Chapter 2
Turns Taken - 8
Ellen heads to the shop to buy some Vulneraries, while Lance heads to the Armory. Marcus rushed to the village for an Armor Slayer, and Alan and Roy rush south to attack the enemies. Roy levels up to a Lvl. 2 after the fighting. Dieck and the rest arrive next turn. Thany flies to the North West, and rescues Ward. Meanwhile, Lance buys some equipment from the Armory. Dieck and Lot confront the enemies North. Marcus rushes South, to rescue Roy, and Alan levels up to a Lvl. 3. Dieck and Lot continue North. Dieck levels up to a Lvl. 6, and Lot levels up to a Lvl. 4. Marcus gets to Dieck's position, and gives Dieck the Armor Slayer. Dieck nears the boss, and Marcus kills the archer nearby. Dieck then finishes off the boss with his Armor Slayer, and Roy captures the castle.

Alright, I've updated the first chapter post.

Using Bors to visit the village counts as a penalty. Also, may I suggest you ignore the village. 4 turns is a reasonable goal and you can still feed Alan at least a level's worth of exp without much of a problem.
Just to show you how possible it is. In fact, if you're willing to risk an EP counter on turn 3, the village is still possible to get. Have Alan take Lance's vulnerary for an easier time.
Damn, forgot about that, must have misread it, I'll update my first chapter post when I redo it. I'm not really playing for the turn count, just for fun really.
