  1. So Ike's being slow makes him cheap now? Sure he isn't hellishly slow, but he's slow enough that it makes a HUGE difference, which is a huge downside for him. And no, they CAN'T get out of Pit's arrows easily, trust me. I've been put against spamming Pits as all sorts of characters, and once they trapped me in his arrows, even mashing the jump button didn't help me get out fast enough. They make you stagger for too long, and by the time they've recovered, you take too long to jump and get smacked again. Eventually you'll be far enough back that you can get out, but if you're not that far, you're stuck. Yeah, that's LIGHT characters. All in all, it doesn't matter about the weight. Ike can send them a good distance, but Marth can get out his aerials two or three at a time before landing, so he can keep the enemy flying and racking up more damage than Ike all in all, AND he doesn't let them react. His forward smash can be an OHKO in most cases, but it's REALLY predictable and VERY easy to dodge, unless you trick someone into rolling behind you and you use it in the reverse direction, because it looks like he'll strike forward at first, but then he reverses and strikes hard. That's the only way where it's easy to smack someone with it. Ike's Quick Draw has phenomenal range, but it can be stopped with ease, either by getting hit with something, or colliding with a player, and then he drops like a sack of potatoes, and his chances of grabbing the edge drop dangerously low. On top of that, the distance is mediocre at best without being charged, so if you're level with the platform and you're a far distance, you're done. There's also the topic of Marth's Shield Breaker. Granted the charge time is a little long, and it holds nothing for being too low (unless you can pull off two uncharged ones and recover, which isn't too difficult), but if you fully charge it, you can go VERY far, and you can Counter an incoming attack straight out of SB, which could easily save your life. That's pitting someone against a specific character, so that's nulled. I'm sure everyone knows Ike is a better character than Kirby because of Kirby's inaccurate moves with decent recovery time. Ike's Counter doesn't stop grabs, and it goes up slower than Marth's. If you pit an Ike and Marth against each other, Ike would be helpless once Marth starts grabbing and pulling off juggling air combos. Then all it would take is an uncharged forward smash tipper to kill Ike, or put him too far to recover easily. And by the time he's able to, Marth could be in his face Countering or taking a hit from Quick Draw, stopping Ike in his tracks. Ike's Final Smash can OHKO a lot (20% +), but it's not easy to hit with necessarily. It's easily sidestepped or dodge rolled, or jumped over even. A quick ^B from Marth would put him clear off Ike's FS upon initiation, all you need is a good reaction time. And although Ike can stop SOME Final Smashes, there are a lot where he can't, and if he gets hit by one of them, he'll take a hard hit, or he'll be blasted to Hell and back. Ike may not have recovery time like SOME heavy weights, but the recovery time is still rather horrendous, especially for some of his better moves (Eruption, FSmash, USmash). His fastest move is his BAir, which is only useful if you can master rushing with it, or you're sent flying and end up with your back to your opponent. Otherwise it's practically useless, and all his other attacks will leave him sitting there (his A combo being an exception to this, but the only way he has any knock back to consider is if he finishes it, which leaves decent recovery time). Marth can't super armour anything, but his Dolphin Slash is enough to evade most of them, and he's fast enough to run from some others. He also only has any real recovery time from his DAir, FSmash, DSmash and UB. Otherwise there's nothing to worry about. Another bonus for Marth is he can use his FAir at least twice in one short hop, so if he can SH,FAir,FAir and repeat a few times, that's a bunch of easy damage with no recovery time.
  2. Just a heads up to everyone in this topic: it contains REALLY strong language, and there's violence and gore and whatnot. So yeah, I uploaded it to deviantArt so it wouldn't get savagely raped by censors due to the language, so you'll have to check out the pieces of it on there. I've put a Mature Content warning in place on it due to the reasons stated above, as well, so you'll need an account to view it. Sorry if that's an inconvenience. Part 01
  3. Also, Sheena's Successor outfit is the same outfit Suzu wears. =) Also, when you get ToS 2, keep me up to date with the spoilers and crazy new shit, I'll want to know as much as I can before I actually get it, so I know what to expect.
  4. Right handed for everything except... yeah. I'm gonna try getting used to Lefty Flip on GH at some point too, I can move my fingers faster on my right hand so it'd be easier for me once I got used to that.
  5. Nah, I just like to stick to the original names for most characters. And thanks everyone. Sorry for not responding. =X

  6. Not necessarily. In free for alls with quick characters, Ike gets trapped in a hole straight to hell, where as Marth can match the speed (or get close to it) or run circles around everyone and switch off between targets to spread the damage and keep most at bay. However, if Ike can get to one side and knock people away and then shatter them like shards of glass, he'll dominate in the FFA. Otherwise, it's tough.
  7. I honestly don't see any embarrassment behind that. That and it isn't related to this topic. Like, at all. <_<
  8. I'm gonna kill myself. And I'll bleed EVERYWHERE. Just because of this. My friend Tommy isn't too good. XD He mains Pit. Strategy? Arrows. End of story. Also, my friend Hunter's friend Brock. The only way he can win is if he has Raygun, Super Scope, both Hammers, Bumpers, Motion Sensors, Gooey Bombs and Bob Ombs set on High. And even then, he can't beat me. >_>
  9. Ike is in NO way the cheapest character. His speed negates the ability to BE cheap. Pit is cheaper than Ike, even. He can spam arrows and people with crap speed can't get out of the chain easily, especially with lag. Then when someone gets close, Pit can FSmash or USmash for multiple hits and good knock back. Meta Knight is pretty cheap too, as is Sonic. Dedede's massive chain grabbing and whatnot is cheap as hell, Kirby's <B and vB are also cheap. The only thing that would make Ike cheap is his power, and by that logic, Ganondorf is cheap. ANYWAYS... Marth is good for hit and runs and long strings of combos. Ike is good for brutal strikes that knock people into short combos that usually end with death. Marth is more fragile and much lighter, but despite this he still has alright power and can his combo potential is outstanding. Ike is heavier, more durable and he's a walking wrecking ball, but his speed makes it hard to fight against speedier characters and stuff. All in all, Marth would be considered the better character, but Ike also having the ability to super armour a bunch of stuff is a phenomenal bonus (ask Knife and Serene, I super armoured them when they used Dragoon near me almost all the time. He can also super armour one of the deadliest Final Smashes of all: Marth's. Which is a real hit for Marth, but Marth is still slightly better.
  10. Yeah, where as I try to grab the Smash Ball, but I turn hueg liek xbox and I get some severe input lag. So I'm falling to my doom, and I ^Air at the worst time ever thanks to the lag, and then since I'm so hueg, I go off the stage faster and asplode mid accidental strike. So I got the f*** out and waited for the next match. XD
  11. Sick. I really can't wait to get ToS 2. <3
  12. I quit on that match. I can't stand WarioWare. It makes me cringe every time I spawn in it. >_>
  13. I believe that was Serene... I don't recall Knife using Zelda, and I sure as hell don't. O_O
  14. xDD Well, there ya go. That's me on my worst day, save for the first time I played Brawl and had to adjust to Marth's new recovery. I've gotta get better again though. I've got a tournament set up for when I get back from vacation at a forum I co-admin. =X
  15. Wait, join Serene's. I was afk and have two I can join. D:
  16. I have you and Serene registered, dun worry. I was just playing Serene but my Internet crapped on me at the worst times. Killed me what, four times now? >_> EDIT: Alright, that should be better.
  17. I would, but this weekend I'm a bit busy with friends and family and such. My birthday was last week but my weekend was filled already, so I won't have the time this weekend. =/ Oh, and I'm on now. Also, got a storm coming again, so I may lose power.
  18. Nah, same time zone. Sweet. I'll try to be on at eight then. =)
  19. Eight tells me almost nothing, because you could live in Hong Kong for all I know. XD Eight for me is in an hour and thirty eight minutes. =X
  20. That works too. I'm on RIGHT NOW btw.
  21. No embarrassment for me, but for my buddy Hunter and his friends Collin and Brock. We were all online, but I was away for a bit. I come back with two lives, Brock died, Collin has 2 lives and Hunter has 1. I commit suicide to start with a clean 0%. I won the match. Big time. Cleaned them out with only 30 or so percent.
  22. I'll try to be on most of tonight gettin back mah skeelz, but my mom's lazy as fuck and makes me do everything for her, so I'll prolly be stuck leaving mid match a bit.
  23. How about now? I dunno time zones for shit. XD
  24. Boom! 2793-0565-1742 My skills are rusty now, however. Gotta get used to Marth AGAIN. D:
  25. The thing I hate most? Noob Pit users. Seriously, all it is is random arrow spam, fleeing and >smash spam. Takes no skill and is an easy kill, especially on slow characters who can't jump up high fast enough and get caught in the stream of arrows for five minutes. But yeah... that aside, I gotta get back into the Brawl scene. If anyone feels like Brawling me, PM me your code and I'll add you. My code is heeeeere. =)
