I'm in the same boat, and tried the same things you did (except with Felicia instead of Joker). I really hope she shows up somewhere down the line...I want her to be my wife! D:

For those of us who have the game, anyway.
Just for reference, I'm playing the Nohr path on Hard, Casual mode. (I'm still resetting when people die, since I want them to level-up as much as possible. But I'm sure as hell not going to reset when I'm moments away from winning and I get hit by a 1% critical.)
Anyways, I'm on Chapter 8...the snow one. And for someone who's played the whole FE series, I'm admittedly having a fair amount of trouble.
For starters, I can't really read Japanese, so in the thick of combat I think I miss out on some small yet important details, most notably skill effects and Hidden Weapon stat penalties. It's safe to say these things are really changing the gameplay of the series...
Furthermore, this chapter is kind of ridiculous in itself. After you finish preparations, a pop-up comes up and tells you to (I think) prioritize getting to all the villages on the map. If you reach one of the 5, nothing happens; if the enemy does, a bunch of enemy units pop out. I think the Ice Clan is basically Paul Revere'ing their people into fighting, and you the player are working to counteract that.
But still, they have multiple magic units that, when coupled with enemy attack stance, decimate a solid half of my units. Not to mention Flora, who's using her Freeze staff to stop my units in their tracks (mostly Kamui, who I'm trying to make Dragon-Vein the center frozen lake...which reverts to being Frozen after one turn. So what the hell is the point?)
All in all, this map design is waaaaaay better than FE13's, and I'm super happy. This means, however, that I'm actually going to have to try harder than just "pair-up and charge at the enemy"...thanks a lot, Awakening! So yeah, does anyone have advice for this chapter?

In this picture, I noticed something. It may just be that the image isn't very crisp, but look at Zero's face and the face of the enemy pegasus. She looks scared, like she knows she's about to get destroyed by an arrow, and Zero looks a bit happy that it's going to be his arrow that does it. Does this mean the character portraits are going to react to the weapons triangle, or am I just looking way too into it?
EDIT: You can see that her health bar is all the way up, so it couldn't be that she's just low on HP, she genuinely looks scared.

See, at first everyone thought Kazahana was one of those "Brock-Archtype" characters who always had their eyes closed or whatever. But, in the trailer after this one, she was seen with her eyes open. Furthermore, this generic thief's expression seems like he's seen better days. So, I can only assume this is her "happy" portrait.
So, I think this is sufficient evidence to say that the character portraits definitely change in regards to weapon type advantages, and probably to low health situations regardless of weapons equipped (maybe low health will include a sweat drop, or something).

When I played FE7 for the first time (in 6th grade, mind you), I didn't realize there were "HIT/DMG/CRIT" displays on the battle screen. Like, I literally judged my character's strengths off of "what they looked like"...embarrassing, I know.

Small (hopefully final) update: I managed to ship everything today! There were some slight setbacks, as I had to fill out customs forms for every package and even had to make an appointment for this morning to ship this many packages. But it's worth it!

It was pretty cool! But super packed. I cannot stress how popular this booth was, lol. The ones adjacent and across from it were literally ghost towns.

Quick update! I was able to purchase EVERYTHING, except the Photo Frame (sold out)!
Additionally, all the Awakening Badges were in opaque wrappings and chosen at random. Fortunately, I was actually able to get most of the ones y'all wanted. Once I get home and sort everything properly, I'll proceed with showing the badges ya'll didn't request, and we'll do a first-post-first-serve method to determine who gets what.
I also took several photos, so I'll make another topic showcasing the event proper. Stay tuned!

You should add another disclaimer. PayPal fees will apply and they will get like a dollar or so taken if that scenario happens and you refund them. So as much as I am tempted by this thread and the wonderful thing you're doing, I think there will be a limit since this *IS* official stuff.

I'm aware of the fees, and I assume people sending their money through PayPal will notice it as well. This is another reason why I'm offering to ship for free. Of course they will lose a bit of money if complications occur and I can't get their items. In general I hope everyone acknowledges the "risks" in this whole procedure...but at the end of the day, I won't stop reimbursing you until you're satisfied. That's the promise I make to all y'all, and the risk I'M willing to take, because I like the FE community, and y'all deserve a chance and getting this kind of stuff!

I go by Bryars/Bossadai/Hirondelle/Chrom. Long story short, I live in Japan, and am planning on going to this Comiket Special 6 where the Fire Emblem 25th Anniversary Merchandise will be sold.
At first I was going to just buy stuff for myself, but figured I would offer to buy/ship anything for the people who don't have access to this event (i.e. everyone outside of Japan, lol).
So, I've set up my own PayPal account, and am ready to receive $$$ from people who want me to get them any of the items. However...
SOME DISCLAIMERS:
- I can't guarantee that all of these items will be available when I get there. I have no idea how popular this one booth will be!
- I can't guarantee that the FE vendor will let me buy a bunch of their products in bulk. I'm as much of a believer in capitalism as the next guy, but there may be some ridiculous rule of "one item per person" or something that I won't be aware of until I get there. In that case, the priority will go to yours truly, then as a first-come-first-serve basis.
- Your items are being shipped to you from literally the other side of the planet, so please be patient if you don't get it the next day...or week...or even month, God forbid!
I predict the actual shipping price for each package will be quite low, since I'm working out of a military base, and their rates are low in general. So, don't worry about sending money for shipping. I got ya covered.
Additionally, if this sounds like some kind of sketchy attempt to steal money from a bunch of global FE fans, please realize that my intentions are absolutely pure. I have a well-paying career already, and getting an average of 2000 yen from several people isn't going to make me rich beyond my wildest dreams.
So, that's it. The process is very easy - you just need a (free) PayPal account. Just post here which items you want and the total in Yen so I know how much to bring with me, I'll PM you my email address, you PM me your name/shipping address, and then send me the USD equivalent via PayPal, and I'll take care of the rest (And, it's easy to convert currencies. For example, just type "2000 JPY to USD" into Google, and you'll get the corresponding amount).
Of course if you send me money, and your item isn't in stock, or if there's some other outlying reason for you wanting your money back for whatever reason, I'll immediately send it back, no problem.

Another question:
How exactly, in detail, does Emmeryn survive that fall? Or is it even explained? I watched the cutscene that includes her speech/fall, and to me it seemed that Chrom was able to see her body on the ground at the end of it; the game just didn't show it out of decency, I figured.
In addition to that, what exactly are the character's reactions upon finding her to be alive again in that one side-chapter? (Or were they aware of it before then?)

I've noticed that these are two gameplay options that seem to be overlooked by many people when playing Fire Emblem.
Basically, Auto-End is having your turn "end" automatically once you've done an action with your last available unit. Auto-Cursor is when your turn begins again, the game's cursor automatically starts on your Lord/main character.
Personally, I don't use either. Thracia was the first FE I played that automatically disables Auto-End, so I eventually defaulted to it when playing the rest of the series. I additionally dislike Auto-Cursor because sometimes, (especially with support grinding in the GBA games) I find it annoying how the game assumes the first unit I want to use every turn is my Lord.
Anyway, how about you all? Hopefully all of you were aware of these two options...XD

Just to clarify, I wasn't making a profit on that event; people sent me money, and I bought merchandise for them haha.
Anyways, I totally would have tried to attend this concert and buy merchandise...but I'm on vacation this month in the States, and won't be in Japan when this goes down. Bummer! I'll have your backs next time guys!
