  1. Happy Birthday!!! (again)

  2. Compare the Japanese and the English, then let's talk about Severa again... SeveraxGerome, from other topics on the Awakening forum... Direct translation of the Japanese --> http://serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=32301&st=1440&p=2028423entry2028423 Official English translation --> http://serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=37134&st=560&p=2277158entry2277158 I did not expect her tsundere personality archetype to translate perfectly, being a Japan-specific personality archetype, but... she's totally different. Yes, she always seemed angry and mean in the Japanese, but not to the point where she would be downright disrespectful and insulting to others. ...Anyway, I've gotten way off topic. I have to bring back up Chrom and FemAvatar's supports... Did anyone find it weird that there was a bathing tent? And that they could keep the water so hot that the tent was full of steam? Well, I guess they could use magic to help make up for the lack of plumbing technology, but... I always thought FE characters bathed in a lake. Maybe it's just me. I have to find the title "avatar" instead of "my unit" pretty weird but hilarious, considering the popularity of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Whenever I'm talking about the game and someone says "the avatar" I can't help but laugh.
  3. Here's the complete set of MirielxGrego supports! ^^ I went through and married them for the heck of it on my English copy of the game, and I surprisingly ended up really liking their supports overall. A lot of dialogue was changed and added in the English, some to my dismay, but the meaning of everything is mostly the same, so I don't mind too much. Anyway, I'm still going to be translating and posting here whenever I can manage the time to do so for the sake of my Japanese skills. (Right now I have the time to translate because I managed to fit it into a class assignment, ha ha.) I'm also working on VakexRonku and CynthiaxLoran... will be posted sometime. [spoiler=supports (MirielxGrego)] [spoiler=supports (MirielxGrego C)] Grego: Hey, Miriel. Would you like to go out for some tea? Miriel: ...You, why do you always... Go around talking to women with that voice? Grego: Probably because I am attracted to good women1 by nature's divine providence?1 Miriel: Nature's divine providence... An interesting story. The "good women" you speak of... I wonder what kind of magnetic force they have. Grego: Hey, that's the way it is. A good woman has an attractive power to a man's eyes. And so, my eyes are fixed on you. Miriel: Good women... What kind of definition would probably make this distinction?2 Grego: D-Definition? Miriel: If what you say holds some regularity... a definition and repeatability should exist. I... want to know that. Grego: Hm... Each definition of a good woman... I'll tell you something like that, right? Miriel: Is that so... Well then, so you are having difficulty thinking about the definition... And if that's the case... it contradicts with what you said before about nature's divine providence...3 Grego: ...Is it that you always think such a thing exists? Miriel: Yes... Because that's my life goal. Grego: I see... This is difficult. Miriel: And how about the tea? You talked about it in passing... Grego: N...next chance we have. Miriel: Is that so. 1 A little clunky in English, but hey, I'm in the mood to really stick with the Japanese. "Good woman" here refers to a woman Gregor finds very attractive and date-able. I guess I could have translated the end of the sentence to "nature's way" or something of the sort, but "nature's divine providence" sounds so much more fun. 2 Meaning she wants to know exactly what makes the women attractive to Grego different from other women. 3 Miriel must think that the "nature's divine providence" Gregor speaks of has a solid definition that he can easily speak about, explaining why some women are attractive to him and others aren't. It's a scientist's job to define natural occurrences, so this only makes sense. [spoiler=supports (MirielxGrego B)] Grego: Ah... This is interesting... Miriel: ......... Grego: Whoa, it has this kind of thing... Miriel: Am I no longer a good woman? Grego: !? M-Miriel? You were so quiet standing behind me. Miriel: The other day... you said good women have the power to pull themselves towards men's eyes. I came to inspect that... Of course, the regularity still doesn't exist. Otherwise... I would still be a good woman... Grego: No no, you're a good woman. Just now, I was reading this book with enthusiasm and I thoughtlessly neglected you. When a good man can feel a good woman getting closer, he must not make a mistake. Miriel: A... book? Grego: I found it earlier... This is surprisingly interesting! The rules, regulations, and definitions became interesting because this was skillfully written. I was enthusiastic and lost the time. Miriel: Ah... that... is my book. My mother wrote it... Grego: Mm? Is that so? This is bad. Miriel: ...? Grego: Only by accident, I wrote the things I thought of inside it. Sorry.1 Miriel: ...I don't mind. Thank you for picking it up. 1 Of course Grego didn't write in the book by accident. He's just trying to be polite. One common way to be polite in Japanese is to be very, very roundabout in saying what actually happened. [spoiler=supports (MirielxGrego A)] Miriel: I wonder... if it's okay to talk to you for a moment? The other day... you wrote your thoughts in my book, right? Grego: Yeah... Did you come to complain to me because those were stupid things to write? Miriel: No... Usually, I didn't understand it like that before. Therefore, I want to hear more details about your thoughts. Grego: Is that so? Do you think I wrote something difficult? Miriel: Is that right? They aren't difficult subjects. However, you erased a section my mother wrote... In the place of "what makes the theory more practical" you wrote only "experience." Grego: Ah, so I did. You don't agree with that? Miriel: That's not it. So far, I did not really think to apply that word there. But if this word is applied to fit the entire writing... This is rude, but I do not think your scholarship is very complete... Grego: It's not rude. Because that's the way it is. These various things are only learned from life. Miriel: That was not a sufficient answer to me. Well then, how about if I can learn them? Grego: It's nothing like that. Miriel: Eh? Grego: You don't do anything special. Usually, you accept things as they occur to you. The things that come naturally. Miriel: That sort of thing... is like that? Grego: Yeah. If you live too much in a hurry, you'll become unable to see things like that. That's about as much as I can teach you. Miriel: ...I still don't understand very well yet. I'll think about it. Grego: Well, think about it in moderation. [spoiler=supports (MirielxGrego S)] Grego: Hey, Miriel. Are you reading the book again? Miriel: Recently, I have been thinking about the various things you said, such as "learning to accept doing nothing," but, as I thought, I cannot understand. I have thought about various phenomenon, for example, research and actual proof, but I wonder, can I not also acquire the things you have? Grego: Well, I will not deny that.1 I've been saying up to this point that there are also ways aside from this. Miriel: I wonder... Grego: Hm... yes. Well then, can you prove something like "love?" Miriel: "Love..." is it? Grego: That's right. The feeling from the person you love. The feeling from thoughts of that person. What kind of thing is this? Miriel: I don't know... The conditions to do so with are vague... Grego: Well then, let's narrow down the conditions. Right now, I want to give this to you. What kind of feeling is there? Miriel: ...A ring? This means you want to marry me... But, a problem like this... Grego: Can you define it? My explanation is difficult,2 so first of all, is this feeling of yours good? Miriel: I don't know... I certainly can't understand it. My feeling and your feeling. Nevertheless, for some reason or another, I'm happy and I have a feeling that I want to vaguely express gratitude... No, these kinds of things are hopeless, right? I will perfectly logically verify... Grego: That's right, that's what I'm saying. This mood is indefinitely without a conclusion. Leaving that aside, face your current self and accept the thoughts. From there, aren't new discoveries and experiences emerging? Miriel: Surely... honestly, if I accept what exists that I cannot understand very well, I will be shown a different world. Grego: Yeah, things like the structure of a person's thoughts aren't simple to understand. Because, at any rate, it takes a lifetime to learn. After this, let's think together. Because I'll take part in it, too. Miriel: That's... it, right? First of all, I will accept the happy thoughts I have now. ...After this, forever, you will give your companionship on my quest, right? Grego: Of course! For our whole lives, together. 1As in he will not deny her scientific theories, and accept them not as lesser, but as a different/alternate way to approach things. 2 Meaning Grego realizes that the entire marriage proposal is probably too much to define at once through her scientific theories. Therefore, he wants to have her think about things individually, starting with her current feeling/emotion is like
  4. Here's some screenshots to help with spoiler tags. You go to 'other styles,' scroll down, and click on 'spoiler.' Then, a text box will show up. In the first box, you can put a description of the spoiler - this is where we usually put the character names and which letter support it is. Then, it is best to click 'add' and put the text inside the tags. Then you can put spoilers inside of spoilers if you want. Just play around with it for a while to figure out how you want to make layouts. The third screenshot is of what the text looks like before you post it. Hope that helps too. And yes, I'm still working on CynthiaxLoran, I promise. [spoiler=characterxcharacter (support)] Support text goes here. [spoiler=Spoiler inside spoiler!] Spoiler-inception! Hope this is useful and not confusing!
  5. Anyone working on CynthiaxLoran? I don't exactly have the time to be translating but I want to anyway.
  6. Thank you~! And here is the link to CynthiaxAzure in full ---> http://www18.atwiki..../pages/893.html
  7. Looks like things have really slowed down here... Well, here's my post for a while - but at least I have two full sets of conversations to offer! I put off MirielxSol because it was pretty difficult. I may come back to it but if someone wants to translate it go ahead. First, we have NonoxCallum! When I unlocked this one in the game, I found that it was easy for me to understand, and had to translate it right away. I was excited to see Callum's past and ninja-like skills explained, even if the story itself is a sad one. [spoiler=Supports (NonoxCallum)] [spoiler=Supports (NonoxCallum C)] Nono: That... did someone lose it? Callum: That... is mine. Nono: Is that so? Ummm... "Everyone, how are you doing...?" Callum: Ah... you're reading it... Nono: This, is it a letter? Nono knows. Who is it for? Callum: That is... It's for my family in my hometown... My parents... and my siblings... They could be worried, so... Nono: Callum has siblings? Callum: Yes... five brothers... Thanks to them... I'm busy everyday... Nono: That's good. Nono is jealous she doesn't have any siblings to keep her busy... Callum: Is that so... I'm sorry... Well... in my house, there's only men... I think I want a little sister... So... if it's okay with you... I think it's okay, too... Nono: Nono is Callum's sibling...? Yes, thank you, Callum! Well then, from now on, Nono is Callum's big sister! Callum: ...Ah... That's right, you're older than me... I forgot... Nono: Well then, let's play together! Big Sister's order! Callum: ...Ahaha... Understood. [spoiler=Supports (NonoxCallum B)]' Nono: Callum, want to play hide-and-seek? Big Sister's order! Callum: Me play hide and seek... I think it'd be better if we don't... Nono: No good! Big Sister's orders are absolute! Callum: Is that so...? Well then, it can't be helped... Nono: While Nono counts to thirty, go hide. (screen goes black & reappears) Callum: Soon... it will be dark for the day... I knew it... I've hidden and... no one can find me... yeah... I guess I should come out... Nono: Callum, Nono fooound you! Callum: Ah... you were still searching? You're good at finding... Nono: But if Nono doesn't find Callum, won't Callum stay like that forever? Always being by yourself is lonely. But, it's okay. Nono will make sure that Callum isn't alone! Callum: ...Nono... Nono: Well then, next, Callum will find Nono! Callum: Eh... However, isn't it already dark for the day...? Nono: Big Sister's orders are absolute! [spoiler=Supports (NonoxCallum A)] Callum: ...I found you, Nono. Nono: ...Nono lost again. Callum is truly skillful at hide-and-seek, isn't he? Callum: I'm just doing it normally, and it's like hiding... so yeah. Nono: How can Callum do that? Nono wants to try, too! Callum: ...Yeah. It's not like something you can just do with practice... In my house, with five brothers... we were poor... We struggled for toys and food... I hated... that sort of thing... I would compete in fights... So I was always found lying on the ground... Then... the time came when I was forgotten. I was treated like I wasn't there by my family... It's truly like I wasn't there... Nono: ...Callum! Callum: Wh... What? Nono: It's not five siblings, right? Nono was not included! Callum: That's right... sorry. Nono: It's okay, Nono is here. Nono will look for Callum at any time. So, Callum doesn't have to feel like he's not there anymore! Callum: ...Yes... thank you. I, too... will always find Nono when Nono is alone... So... Nono won't become lonely anymore. Nono: ...Really? ...Will Callum promise? Callum: Yeah... I promise... [spoiler=Supports (NonoxCallum S)] Nono: Kyu, kyu, kyu, such a good-feeling, good sound to make, right? Callum: ...Nono. The ring I polished... here. Nono: Haha, it's sparkling! Callum: When I left the city... Dad gave it to me. I'd give it to the person who became family... It's like a symbol... Nono: ...Nono wants that. Callum: Eh...? How can I say this... It's a promise to be together forever, but... Nono intends to be Big Sister... Nono: Nono knows. The ring is the symbol of a marriage promise, right? Callum: ...Nono knows? Nono: Yeah. Nono wants Callum's ring. Nono loves Callum! Callum: Thank you... I... love Nono, too. Mom's handmade ring... isn't expensive, but it's my only treasured item in this world... This... I want you to wear it. Nono: Yeah! And since Nono is so easy and fun to translate (the only difficult part is keeping her speech childish, since some things she says are childish in Japanese but not as much so in English), I did NonoxDonny while I was at it! The C support seems a bit weird, but other than that, Nono and Donny are cute characters as always. I really thought Donny's stone would end up being a dragon stone, but then that little plot never came back... [spoiler=Supports (NonoxDonny)] [spoiler=Supports (NonoxDonny C)] Nono: Hey, Donny! Lend Nono that stone for a moment! Donny: Eh? Nono: Taaaake thaaat!! Donny: Eh?! Wh-why throw it!? Nono: Yeah, Nono hit it! (Nono leaves the screen) Donny: W-wait a minute! (screen blacks out and reappears) Nono: Look, look, Donny! A bird caught it! Donny: Ha... ha...1 I don't see it... The stone? Where is it? Nono: The stone? This thing? Donny: That! Thank goodness... Nono: Maybe... it's important to Donny? Donny: Yeah. It's my treasure. My Dad gave me this important stone. Nono: Ah... Nono is sorry... Nono didn't know... waaa... *sniff* Donny: H-hey... I don't want you to cry! I'm not angry anymore. Nono: *sniff* ...Really? Donny: Yeah. Really. Nono: Waa... As an apology, Nono will grill this bird with Nono's breath, so just wait, okay? It's not like Nono can really breathe fire, though, so Nono must practice. Donny: Hey, wait, wait! If you use fire, I'll get upset! At a place like this, don't suddenly turn into a dragon! Nono: B... but... Donny: Look! Fire came out! Well then, let's grill the bird. Nono: ...Yeah, Nono gets it! Thanks, Donny! Donny: Yeah... Don't mention it. 1 (Panting noises) [spoiler=Supports (NonoxDonny B)] Nono: Hey, Donny, are you holding the stone from before? Donny: Yeah, I'm holding it. Nono: Show Nono! Waaa... it's pretty... Hey, Donny, why is that stone important? Donny: That's proof of my promise to my dad. Nono: Promise...? Donny: Yeah. When Dad was alive, he gave me this stone. Dad likes stones and he collected them a lot, but among them, he liked this stone the most. Dad said this stone has a mysterious power. I don't really get it, but Dad said it's like that, so that mysterious power will one day dispel all doubts. Nono: Woooow. That's good, Donny. Donny: Hm... why's that? Nono: Donny has a promise to his father! Nono doesn't know Nono's father. Nono hasn't spoken with him either. Donny: Oh, is that so? I'm sorry. Nono: But Nono remembers Nono's birthplace! Donny: What kind of place is it? Nono: Nono forgot! Donny: Eh? You said just now that you remember it... Nono: Nono remembers but Nono forgot. The memories don't come clearly to Nono. If Nono remembers again another time, Nono will tell Donny. Donny: I see. I'm looking forward to it. Nono: But let's play! Nono thinks playing with Donny is fun! Donny: Yeah, I think so too. [spoiler=Supports (NonoxDonny A)] Nono: Donny! Nono remembers Nono's birthplace! Donny: That's good, right? Well then, I want you to tell me. Nono: Umm... the place is reeeaaally far left. Donny: Left? You mean west? Nono: West? No, left. Way left, past the sea. Donny: Yeah... I don't know 'left.' Is there a landmark or something? Nono: Uuuumm... Nono doesn't know. Nono was kidnapped soon after Nono was born. Donny: I-is that so... Nono: It's Nono's dream to go back there someday. Donny: Really? Nono: Maybe if Nono's friends might be there... Donny: I see... Well then, if I can find this place, Nono will be the first person I talk about it with. Nono: Really? Yay! If Nono finds Nono's birthplace, Donny will be the first person Nono talks about it with too. Donny: Thanks. I'm looking forward to it. Nono: Yeah! Donny, Nono is hungry! Donny: As usual, all of a sudden, the conversation is different... Well, that's okay. Yesterday, I set out traps. Let's go and see if I caught any game. if some game was caught, I will make my best cooking. Nono: Yeah! Nono really likes Donny! [spoiler=Supports (NonoxDonny S)] Donny: Nono, I was thinking, do we both have a place we're searching for together? Nono: Yeah. Donny: If that's the case, I think it would be nice to look together, but what do you think? Of course, not if Nono finds it disagreeable. Nono: It's not at all disagreeable! It's a promise! A pinky promise! Donny: Uuuummm... If I'm not mistaken, there's a better promise than a pinky promise. Nono: Yeah, okay. What should Nono do? Nono can't do something too difficult... Donny: It's not difficult. It's fine if you just accept this ring. Nono: Ah, in that case, Nono can do that. It's a promise to always be together, right? Donny: Yeah, it's a marriage promise. You know that well. Nono: Ha ha. Nono may not look it, but Nono is pretty smart. Donny: W-well, hold out your hand. Nono: Okaaaaay. Donny: That's good, it fits. Nono: Ehehe... This promise, Nono can do it perfectly. Donny: Yeah. Nono: Donny mustn't break it. Donny: Of course. For my whole life, I'll be beside Nono. Nono: Thanks, Donny. Nono is really happy! Donny: I'm happy too...
  8. It's tough to tell sometimes. Not all of the characters give context as to if they knew their parents or if their parents died too early to form a relationship. Or, if they do give context, we haven't translated the right support for that yet... Some characters seem to have a lot more hang-ups than others about accepting their parents. I guess it depends on the personality. A character like Wood doesn't have the personality to worry about proving whether his parents are his parents, so he just accepts Liz as his mother and the immediately get along. It also helps that Liz was really interested in knowing her son from the future - at the beginning of Wood's "recruiting side-chapter,' she has a conversation with Lucina asking what her future child is like. She really wanted to meet Wood. As for someone like Jerome or Loran, it takes time. Heck, Jerome even refers to his parents on a first-name basis until his A supports with them. Loran is a scientist type like his mother, so the two aren't the type to just accept things. They want to research why everything is the way it is. On another note, is anyone working on NonoxCallum? I'm thinking about picking that one up in addition to MirielxSol... I also want to do another support with Loran, but I only have a few days before returning to campus for the semester...
  9. Here's MirielxLoran, the mother/son duo which proves that strong minds think alike. Not sure if they are scientists, mages, or pyromaniacs... [spoiler=Supports (MirielxLoran)] [spoiler=Supports (MirielxLoran C)] Loran: Mm-hmm... mm-hmm... I see, so that's it. Many of this period's books remain; I can use them to study. I'll study more. It's only a little, but if I don't catch up to Mother... Miriel: ......... Loran: Huh...? Mother? Is that thing you are holding in your hand a bottle of alcohol? Miriel: Yes. Known as Felia's own "Dragon's Breath," it is a strong alcohol. Loran: Even though it is daytime, you have such a thing... Mother, do you like alcohol? Miriel: No... It is not like this is for drinking. If I do this... Loran: Ah... fire?! Miriel: It is exactly as you heard. A pure, expensive alcohol will ignite... But, why... is the color of the fire blue, I wonder. This is very interesting... Further inspection is necessary. Loran: It's amazing, Mother. By your own hand, you are trying to discover a new truth. I definitely won't catch up if I only learn knowledge from books... Mother! Please allow me to study that investigation with you! Miriel: Yes. Together we shall discover the hidden truth of this phenomenon. [spoiler=Supports (MirielxLoran B)] Miriel: Put copper salt inside of the fire and... a green fire is born. No matter how many times I observe it, it is truly very interesting... Loran: In addition, there were other colors that the fire changed to be as well. Miriel: Yes. To start with, we shall verify that we see a blue flame. 'If it is a strong alcoholic drink, which drink can bring out the blue flame? The drink that is comprised of a power to get people intoxicated may produce a blue color...'1 Loran: I... one thing is on my mind. With a blue flame and a red flame, at the time when the metal is held out, it melts into something different. Perhaps, does the heat of the flame not have something to do with it? Miriel: I see... I didn't think of that. Assuming... There's no way of knowing if, more than anything else, alcohol ignites by a cooler flame. It is necessary to inspect even more. Loran: Fufu... Miriel: Is something wrong? Loran: Mother looks happy. Even now, Mother has not given perfect proof that she is my mother, but by doing this, I respect Mother more. By that alone I am happy. Miriel: Surely, the proof that we are parent and child is not yet perfect. However, there is no mistake that you and I will pursue the truth with the same mind. Loran: Yes, that's right... Whether or not we are parent and child, the bond between us is being born. It could be that that bond is perhaps more valuable than the truth. Miriel: In addition to that, the one truth is inside of you... probably. 1 While this isn't directly stated that she is recording or reflecting upon this information in some way, I think that Miriel is, based on the speech pattern. Appears more like notes than actual speech. [spoiler=Supports (MirielxLoran A)] Loran: Mother, won't you look at this for a minute? Miriel: This orb... what is it, I wonder? Loran: It regards the color-changing flame Mother found the other day, but I though it was a little pretty and wondered if it couldn't be used for something. Green, blue, yellow... inside this orb, the various colors of fire and a living thing are stuffed into it. This uses the air as ignition, and multi-colored fire should fill the sky. Miriel: Well then, an investigation of the truth is not related to the experiment, right?1 Loran: Certainly, that is the case. Miriel: But most likely this experiment... will paint a beautiful scene, right? Loran: Y... Yes! I think so too! On a clear night, let's gather everyone and do an experiment. Miriel: How much practical use does this stored knowledge have... That, also, is one way. Your idea... I did not have it. Loran... That experiment, may I also be allowed to take part in it? Loran: Yes! I ask of you with pleasure, Mother! 1 The words aren't directly there... but I think this means that Miriel is confirming that Loran will start a new experiment with the orb separate from their previous one with the alcohol. Just giving a disclaimer that I may be assuming a little.
  10. At the very least, the Japanese version was given a reason... but not a very good one as far as representing lesbians in general. The idea of Heather's sexuality coming from her less-than-stellar father has it's origins with Freud, who originated the idea that homosexuality came from parents who didn't fit gender roles. Without parents that fit gender roles, Freud claimed that children could never mature sexually and thus became sexually immature adults who could then turn to homosexuality. Freud is credited for many great things, but being right is not one of them by any means... During his time, this idea was the accepted one. I learned all of this in an LGBTQIA film and literature course. In one of the novels we read, a pulp fiction novel from the 50's, the main character's big confrontation with her horrible father includes coming out, blaming it on him, him taking the blame and feeling like he's worth less than dirt, then the two never seeing each other again. Yeah... that was just the understanding of the people at the time. Since then, it has come to be a horrible stereotype that only the most bigoted cling to. Freud just didn't do research - he only made educated guesses, something that certainly does not fly in today's psychology world. That and other factors, like he never discussed what single parent and/or divorced parent families produce and other such things. Many today agree that sexuality is determined through a combination of nature and nurture that we don't know much of anything about yet - but Freud certainly was looking at it in the wrong way. And so, in short, Heather having a jerk father is not a great way to represent her sexuality because it uses a stereotype long since seen as outdated and offensive to lesbians. Not exactly the best step in the right direction. But hey, I don't know if many RD characters were meant to be taken that seriously. I will forever have my mixed feelings on RD.
  11. Can anyone find MirielxSol S support? That's the support set I want to work on next after MirielxLoran. I have the support unlocked on my 3DS but obviously finding it online would make my life much easier. Thanks in advance for anyone who goes searching. ^^
  12. I actually can't find any parent-child supports between Mark and a second gen character. But since I know that when a second gen character is a sibling of Mark, their conversation is that of a set sibling support for Mark, not a modified version of their "standard" support. So I can guess that the parent-child relationship takes the support of Mark's set parent-child support. And just as a note, Mark's parent-child supports are the same regardless of gender. Mark's support with MU is always the same, and Mark's support with his/her other parent is always the same. ...If that's not too confusing. XD
  13. Alright, everyone! In the midst of confusion and deep conversation over the genetics of manaketes, I bring comic relief in the form of Krom and Vake! Gotta love these two fools together. XD Decided to go literal in many places with this one. If anything sounds a little awkward, then whatever. [spoiler=Supports (KromxVake)] [spoiler=Supports (KromxVake C)] Krom: Okay, everyone! From this point on, we will do one-on-one practice battles! Vake: Alright! I will have a match with you, Krom! Krom: Vake... At this time, you should only be like a companion... Vake: You and I are eternal rivals! It is our destiny to continue our eternal battle! Although I surely am a little tired. Krom: If that's the case, did we change our companionship? Vake: Wait! Don't do something like avoid me! Krom: ...I do not have an intention of running from anyone. Weren't you the one who said you were tired? Vake: Hey, for the purpose of relieving the tension, how about we bet all of our money on hand? Krom: I don't mind relieving the tension with betting money. Vake: Yeah... well then, how about this one? The one who loses the battle has to hit Fredrick on the head! Krom... Really? If Fredrick saw something like that, wouldn't he get angry and sort of scary? Vake: Heh, you scared? Krom: Don't be ridiculous. I accept your challenge. ...But I absolutely will not lose. Vake: I see. So this means that fighting is best for this tension... [spoiler=Supports (KromxVake B)] Vake: Let's have a match, Krom! Krom: A match is okay, but with one condition. Vake: A condition? Well, isn't that an unusual thing for you to say!? Krom: After the practice battle the other day, I was scolded harshly by Liz. She said that because the battle between us became too intense and dangerous, we should have a battle that won't be dangerous. Vake: Yeah... That match the other day was very intense for both of us. But, well, what in the world is a non-dangerous battle? Krom: I know, right... What about flipping coins and calling the side it lands on? Vake: That sort of match is only decided by luck and won't give us a conclusion. Yeah... hmm... How about a cooking match? Both battle and cooking need skill to compete with, right? Krom: Cooking? I don't have much experience... Vake: Oh, is that so? That's no good. You'd have a disadvantage. You'll lose the cooking showdown unconditionally. That's like running away. Krom: ...Don't say that. Fine, making food is fine. I kind of know a recipe. I can't lose to you! Vake: Yeah. All right, that won't happen! [spoiler=Supports (KromxVake A)] Krom: Let's have a match, Vake. Vake: What are you saying, my win was decided already, right? Krom: What? When did I lose to you? Vake: The other day's cooking showdown! It's clear that my side was more delicious! Krom: Geh... But when you ate my cooking, you toppled over and fainted, didn't you? Admit that the results turned in my favor. Vake: As if! I ate something ridiculous then!! Krom: It's not like you said the one who makes the most delicious food would win. Vake: You know... Jeez, you really hate to lose, don't you? Krom: Don't all people say that? It's the same for you. Vake: Ha ha, I agree. ...I knew you and I need to agree on a winner. Krom: I agree... Want to start, Vake? Vake: Yeah! We'll settle this today for sure!
  14. Yeah, I think (More) Friends of Mineral Town and Harvest Moon 64 are the best to start out with. Harvest Moon has enough of a learning curve without all of the new features involved. But The Tale of Two Towns is great if you have further interest in something similar to those games, but pretty different in its own way.
