  1. Oh, I never play on Temple, but I don't think any character can really use aerials well in that lower section, much less sword users.

Try out Marth's dAir, it wrecks.

all right, my main issue'd be getting them over the edge to use said dAir

yeah Temple, Final Dest. and Corneria are pretty much the only places I play, I go to the great bay occasionally...well Ganon's air is crazy good anywhere, same holds true below the Temple and Game & Watch's neutralAir also works pretty well

yes, I have heard of the Icon theory, but wasn't disproven when sonic came in? or was it the DS icon with Pictochat...can't remember, but an update somewhere around there cast a shadow on the theory because it added an icon that couldn't fit

  2. wait, personality or general-ness? oh well, I'll go with general

7-Dart, I love berserkers, he has no memory, and he doesn't look at people when he talks to them

    8-Ross, did I mention I love berserkers?

9-Nephenee, maxing speed by level 5 promoted is cool...too bad Halberdier's speed cap is so low...

    10-haven't played through

  3. no, I haven't really developed any particular skill for a single character...

Marth has good aerials, this I know, I am good with him, but it's hard to kill people in the MPoL (Mosh Pit of Love, lower area in Temple, called such because everyone beats on each other and gets high %) as him, and since Temple is the main stage I play against my friend who usually plays ganon...he'll wait down there...and it makes it hard to win

Marth's side-smash is great, but I can't find any other good killing moves as him

  4. My favorite would have to be Meta Knight. Finally a sword user who will have half-decent aerials, link practically teleported to the ground when you pressed the A button in mid-air...Marth and Roy, well they weren't as bad, but I REALLY like aerial moves, and sword users left a bitter taste in my mouth in melee...

oh and MK beats out Pit, if only because MK doesn't wear short shorts...and have a bow...

hey pit, your bow does approx. no damage, but at least the arrows go further than links

fists, feet, guns, and swords only thank you

  5. Heh, I was just think about making this topic to...

Anyways, the delay isn't much of a concern to me, as the game needs to be better then the first, which is what the demo in the E for all conference was for. I say take all the time you need, as long as it comes out sometime and my pre-order is still intact, I don't care. Wasted slot though using Olimar, that was a WRONG move.

the first? I think you mean second, first was SSB(64), second was Melee [sSBM], third being Brawl [sSBB] (watch someone have beaten me to this)

what, you don't like Olimar? He is the tallest person who is 1 inch tall if you ask me...if you were 1 inch tall, I'd like to see you be as tall as a monkey (Diddy)...he wins props for breaking general laws of life...

I liked the Pikmin games...admittedly there are better obscure choices for Brawlers (Pheonix Wright, Dr. Ryuta Kawashima*) I wanted to play as Captain Olimar since Melee...I thought it would be awesome to have a personal army of pikmin attack your foes...

oh and it would be pretty hard to make Pheonix or the Dr. anything more than Assist Trophies, I admit

*Dr. Ryuta Kawashima is the floating head guy from Brain Age

  6. Against a good [human] opponent, I could play Smash endlessly. I've had multiple 4+ hour sessions with a couple of my friends.

yeah, I have had long Smash sessions, I have nothing against them, they are fun...but friends don't generally live at your house...not during a schoolweek at least...and no one in my house really cares about Smash, not to mention they suck...and that is no fun to play long against/with...I get bored playing against comps after a two hours...

Fire Emblem on the other hand, I can sit down, play from when I wake (taking a break for lunch) to like dinner and be perfectly content...

  7. QFT. (AKA Quoted for truth) Smash Bros. is awesome. I'm so gonna buy Brawl on February 10th.

If you know you are going to go out and buy something the day it comes out, you may as well pre-order it...sometimes they give you free stuff, such as Pkmn Diamond and Pearl...at the very least, it ensures that you will get the game when it comes out...if you live in a sparsely populated area, that may not be so much of an issue, but if you live in/near a major city, then it would be more worth your effort...besides, if you pre-order online, sometimes they ship it early, my friends and I got our copies of Diamond and Pearl a day early, when we pre-ordered online...

but with a major title such as brawl, I would recommend pre-ordering...I did...

oh, and on topic, I'd have to say my favorite Series is Fire Emblem...Smash is a close second, because well Smash has multiplayer (Link Arena doesn't count), but I could sit down and play FE longer than I could sit down and play Smash

  8. That's incorrect, he found out about it shortly after E3 '04.

oh, oops, sorry...I never claim to be completely correct...I didn't actually care about it so much until they started doing the daily updates...that was the sign that the end was in sight...I don't care about when they announce games...why should I burn out my fervor for a game a few years away?

and well google translate for the initial japanese site...well, the way any on-line translator words things can be confusing...I thought he meant E3 06...guess it was 04...

still, only a few weeks till brawl

  9. yeah, I dont' think so...Melee was, but Brawl never was on the table to be a launch title...they hadn't really even decided to make it until shortly before E3 06 really...

Sakurai wasn't expecting to make it...it'd be pretty tough to make a game in less than a year...besides this is nothing, the original was inteded for the SNES...and it was released in the last year and a half of the N64

    now that is delay

    *edit*

    w00+, 10 posts...I feel so accomplished

  10. FE1- Never Touched

    FE2- Never Touched

    FE3- Never Touched

FE4- Never Touched, but I want to, looks really fun

    FE5- Never Touched

    FE6- Never Touched

FE7- Beat like 5 times, then my data got erased...I was so upset I've only beat it once since

FE8- Beat 3 times...and abused CC to get all the supports

FE9- Initially I didn't like the way it looked, finally got it 51 weeks ago, beat it once, left it alone, I'm beating a second time before I start 10

FE10- Yeah, I got it for Christmas...I have like 3 chapters left in FE9...so I should start it this weekend!

I'm excited! finally I get to play FE10

  11. You also have to look out for those with AR's...

actually, one time I was link arena-ing against a friend in FE:SS, he was using an AR and messed up his codes or something, because in the actual game, they all had 99's in each stat, but when he we battled they had 2's

it was fun doing sooo much damage to them (Ross + Berserker str capped + Garm vs. Cormag + lance + only 2 defense)

then he was upset, so we played a different game

oh and yes, I'll probably get it when(/if) it launches in America

  12. Berserkers FTW! Seriously, one of the few reasons FE9 isn't my favorite is because there isn't a berserker until the last few chapters. When you do get him, your team is pretty set in. Boyd had to fill that gap. He did ok, but bows can never replace a good old critical bonus.

Berserkers: So yeah, we do lots of damage, and critical a lot...we can kill swordmasters in 1 hit, and have enough HP to withstand a nuclear explosion...we also have metal arms!

what's not to like about that...their dodging isn't too shabby either!

  13. My friend got me a copy of it (English voiceovers!!!) for my birthday last year more-so as a joke, but hey, I enjoyed it. I watched it. It was pretty good. Haven't played the first Fire Emblem game, so I uh don't know how accurate it is to the story. There seemed to be a trend where animes in the 90's would go for 2 episodes and then get dropped. Fire Emblem just happened to be part of that group. I was upset when I found out that there were no more episodes, I wanted to see where it would go.

  14. Ok, sorry if this is a stupid question, but where do you go to change the "favorite Fire Emblem game" part on your profile. I searched and searched, but couldn't find it anywhere (that I searched). So I figured questions was a good place to put a question.

Sorry if this has been added somewhere or if I'm just blind. Thank you in advance.
