SuperLuigi hasn't been active in 3 years, so the chance of him fixing FE6+, or even coming back on here, is slim to none.
Also yeah, can't link ROM's m8, against the rules. -

I've always enjoyed retro-futurism (50-70's sci-fi artstyle) and fantasy, so yes I would.

As a LGBT user I honestly don't give a shit. IS will make them poorly written anyways, just like with the straight characters.

It looks slightly better than Awakening, especially the visuals, so there's that. I'm interested in the newer weapons and classes, too, so I can't say I'm not hyped. But neither am I excited for it. Idk, I guess I'll have to see.

Apparently, crossing the water reduces Evade (?) by 10 as a Pegasus Knight.

Here's a list of what I think should change from Awakening. Probably a stretch expecting this much, but I'm sure some of this might get in.
Weapons:
- Have weight return so that CON can actually be used for something, and give CON the FE5 treatment (implementing it as a stat with low growths). That way, different characters won't be stuck with the same CON throughout the entire game and miss out on using higher-tiered weapons.
- Brave Weapons need to be limited like no tomorrow if there's going to be an open-world map. Give the weapons a large weight and low use like in previous games.
- Reintroduce Light Magic along with the Magic Triangle.
- Bring back Status Staves such as Berserk and Sleep along with older staves as well.
- Overall, new types of weapons like the Bronze Rod that was in the trailer.
Skills:
- For the love of Mary, Mother of God, have Galeforce either nerfed or removed.
- Dual Strike should also be nerfed by having its damage reduced
- Pair-Up is a nice mechanic, but very flawed. This can be rectified by having enemies Pair-Up as well, and the stat gains reduced while paired up.
Story:
- Give us a good plot.
- Implement more variety when it comes to missions, such as Escape or Gaiden missions. I'd prefer Gaiden missions not to be on the map as it interrupts the flow of the game, but it's not a huge deal for me.
- Have characters with better personality.
- The Avatar should take a smaller role like in FE12, or have him be the main character (Lord, pretty much).
- Choices that actually matter, along with split routes and alternate endings.
- Remove the fucking marriage system.
Classes:
- Reintroduce the Monk, Bishop, and the Ballistician class.
- Introduce more diverse classes in general.
- Bring back Lock-picking and Stealing for thieves.
General:
- Better map design; bring back houses and traps similar to FE6's traps
- Bring back the Torch and the Fog of War
- Seriously limit the amount of money you can get on the World Map, along with the number of Merchants. Have money come from selling items, weapons.
- Better attack animations for classes (small priority)

Regardless if it's custom-made art or not, it's still sprite theft.
OP, I'd suggest you take them out immediately and just put in placeholder mugs.

I'm assuming that the available patches must be downloaded on clean roms, but is it possible to apply the patch to a rom that has already had substantial changes made to it (Characters and palettes, some inserted maps, etc.)
I would really like to make the Repairing Merchant a reality in my hack, but really don't want to erase all of my hard work (backups notwithstanding).
Most likely it will screw up your rom. If I were you, I'd back up my rom first before applying the patch.

Manaketes in 6 are weird; they only work correctly if they're facing the player (as in, they're the enemy). If they're a player unit, the background will vanish and it will just be a floating head like in your image.
I don't really know if you can fix it. I'm sure it's possible, but it may be extremely hard, seeing as how no one else has succeeded (or they just don't care). -

no it doesn't on, also FE6 doesn't use TSA for it's world map while FE7 does; I also have a broken(changes world map but doesn't appear correctly IIRC) world map hack for FE7 in my doc, FE8 is similar but uses different TSA data from FE7

Gringe, another few things you might want to fix are the carelessness of some maps, tile changes and unit positioning. For example in chapter 8, when Lilina's prison door is opened, the floor shading does not change, and in chapter 18A one of the possible unit positions is on a cliff. If you want a list of other examples I've found feel free to PM me :)
Also something else that seems slightly odd is when the map theme keeps playing in chapter 5 after you've seized the castle, although this may have been intentional :V
This is just a translation patch, not a gameplay patch. If you want to change the maps and events, you'll have to do it yourself.

I don't understand what you mean about Yahn, you don't want him to have a transform animation?
I think he means that Yahn should have the same animation as the Fire Dragons in the end of Blazing Sword.
Since Yahn's an actual Manakete, and the "War Dragon" Manaketes like Ain are artificial, it doesn't make sense that they'd have to share the same animation when the Fire Dragons in 7 were also real Manaketes.

I hope that Idoun will be WAY harder to defeat. I beat her on the first turn with 2 attacks from promoted Roy. Wasn't really a challenge. And maybe Echidna could start off at an earlier chapter as a Female Mercenary. And give Wolt better stats.
I don't really agree with Echidna being a Female Merc. (for reasons Siuloir already stated), but I do think Wolt needs better stats. In fact, both Dorothy and Wolt need better stats, IMO.

And how about getting a new dragon animation for Fa?
I don't really see why Fa needs a new animation. The one she has already looks good enough.

Bors looks...kinda weird. The armor seems too thin (especially the upper shoulder armor) and stiff, and his chin seems out of place (funny considering he has a very big chin). But Wolt looks pretty good, the hair is nice too.
