Actually, I got a rush of determination and I started screwing around in my DoF folder again with all the files inside. Apparently, it worked. I still appreciate the tutorial you sent me-- I'll need that, since I have no idea what I actually did. Thanks!

I've got no idea how to un-RAR a RAR file-- and it looked like the DoF file was a UPS file, not RAR. I don't know if that matters or not...

Well, I followed the steps the previous member told me. I downloaded NUPS from that link, downloaded DoF from the ROMhacks page, and downloaded FE7, the corresponding game that DoF pertains to. Then I put them all in the same folder and activated NUPS. It asked whether I wanted to create a patch or patch an existing ROM in my folder. I chose to patch an existing ROM, and I entered in the correct files where it asked me to. I've got no idea why it doesn't work. It might be the exact ROM I downloaded or something, but I really don't know why.

Ummmmm, It doesn't seem to be working. It says that my patch is corrupt. Has this ever happened to anyone? If you know what the problem is, please prescribe some solutions for me to try.

Just making sure, I should rename the UPS file after the exact game name, right? Also, it shouldn't matter which one of the programs I download? Or is there a specific one I should get?

Hi, everyone! I'm new to SF and I have a question about ROM hacks. I downloaded one of the hacks and noticed it was a UPS file. I don't really know what program to use to actually open it and play the game. Is it something different or a regular DS emulator (like DeSmuMe, that's the one i use.) If there is anything I need to download, just say what it is! If there's like a special thread for this, don't block this thread or anything, just give a me link please!

Hello! I would just like to introduce myself. I am The__Lugonator, and I am quite a fan of Fire Emblem games. I am not too great at them, but I'm decent. I am also a huge fan of ROM hacks, and I've seen a few I like. However, I have an inquiry as to how these ROMs are opened. What program should you use? Do you have to download anything?
