  1. I'm hacking fire emblem 6 and I want to edit which items a unit starts out with (like in the very first chapter, I want Bors to hold a different weapon). I've been through the Ultimate Guide for Nightmare but cannot find how to edit a character's inventory. Help please? Thanks in advance.

  3. Attached is a picture from the Burning Blade but I replaced Lyn with a new character and want to be able to edit this picture (and the rest of them that are like it). What tools would I need to find and edit it? Are there any good tutorials about it or does it follow the same 16 color rules as the rest of the game? Thanks.

  5. I'm kind of at a loss. I use Usenti to edit portraits and recently it's been acting weird (usually I can copy something from one picture and paste into another and the copied section will keep the same colors it had but now it's applying the colors of the picture I'm pasting it into). Now, I have two files of the same portrait. I didn't edit it at all, just saved the same picture under a different name. However the new file is weird and transparent in places it shouldn't be and wasn't before. I tried inserting them into Feditor. The first works fine. The second... not so much. I'll attach pictures of the bad portrait as it was in Feditor and Usenti and hopefully someone can tell me what happened. Thanks in advance
  6. I did manage to get the colors I want for Lyn and all appears to be working for the moment. I did start fresh so I'm a little apprehensive of adding in new animations for Hector and Eliwood, which will actually be new animations all together... But I'll cross that bridge when I get there. Thank you all for your help! I really appreciate it.
  7. Forgive my ignorance but you mean to go into APE and switch around the order of the colors for the palette ?
  8. I didn't rescript the animations, i dumped them from FEditor and recolored the dumped files. I re-script the game text, like what Lyn and Kent and Sain say.
  9. The error reads; Model.PortableClassAnimation.writeToArray: Exception PCA: Error writing animation being imported
  10. Yeah. The new animation was just a switching of colors, her hair is orange and clothes green and it works in a clean rom. When I try to put it back in after the failed test it comes up with an error message.
  11. I'm going to apologize ahead of time for the vagueness of this but I really don't know what I did wrong. I'm hacking a fire emblem 7 game and I successfully remade some attack animations for various characters, changed some weapon icons, changes portraits and even map sprites. I've tried the game at this stage and everything works smoothly. However then I move into rescrpiting the game. I'm using Feditor and the text changing part of it. I rewrote most of the first five chapters (nothing massive, mostly what the pre-existing characters say, I did not add any new faces or even change the order). Everything works fine, portraits, sprites, script, until Lyn goes to attack. The game reset every time she attacked the first bandit. I tried to add the script into an older version of my hack and there was a really glitchy battle between two of the endgame dragons and it froze halfway through, and when i repeated the process with another , older copy the screen froze in a mess of pixels. When I went back into Feditor I found that Lyns basic, unpromotted attack was gone (the offset should be 0F but as I scrolled through it skipped over it and never appeared even when I typed it in) and it wouldn't let me add it in again, displaying an error screen. I can't make heads or tails of this. Obviously it's something with the script, which, on average, has more text than the original but I don't know why this is happening I don't know if there''s anything that can be done but if there is...please help... Thank you ahead.
  12. I'm looking to edit cut scenes (like at the very beginning of the game when Lyn is looking down at you). I've been looking through a lot of sites but I'm horrible at looking for things... Is there any place or tutorial that list the offsets and palette offsets for these scenes for GBAGE? Thanks in advance.
