  1. After playing on Hard no Pair Up and other restrictions, I can say that those that say pair up has no downsides aren't completely right. It does give a good buff, but after playing extensively without it I noticed something, that I'm not sure if other people notice (it's fairly obvious). You buff one unit at the cost of not having two at the same time. I mean just think about it. Here are three different situations.

For example, you are fighting a unit that will only die with the addition of the stats from a pair up. Two units attacking it won't cut it. Pair up is really beneficial here.

But, let's say you are fighting a unit that dies from the stat additions of pair up, but also dies from two separate attacks from the same unpaired units. Now they are about equal.

But the third situation, you are fighting two units, and each unpaired unit can kill one. If you would be paired, you would only be able to kill one.

To get it straight, pair up is better defensively, while no pair up is better offensively. Of course some chapters benefit more from defensive play while others from offensive play (more defensive than offensive). No pair up is also better, when your units are fairly strong, and can do almost the same job while unpaired, in comparison to when paired.

To those that haven't tried no pair up, give it a try, it will be worth your while.

  2. Whut?

    Whut?

    Whut?

    Whut?

So if people have personality, it's bad, and if people don't have personality, it's bad?

    Whut?

Yep. And it gets implemented well, adds to the plot in an interesting way, and leads to another branch of gameplay decisions.

    Whut?

Do you even know what a dating sim is? A single optional mechanic involving producing babies is totally unrelated to the idea of a dating sim. Not to mention your random irrelevant tirade against the game is entirely tangential to the conclusion that it's a dating sim.

    BrightBow+FE13. This isn't new.

  3. Broken? How? From my experience they have very limited availability. I usually had a lot more Master Seals then these.

The only time SS is game changing is if the class is poorly balanced(Panne and MU is the only example, to be honest) and to break level cap and grow even higher, this one is notable on Lunatic to do, for example reclassing a capped DF Sumia into GK. Maybe add the "30 level as tier 1" function here

Outside that, most SS is op complaints basically consists of "I grind for 95 hours and break the game. SS is the best scapegoat ever" or PKL complaints where he said its "stupid when its unlimited before postgame" which I don't understand why exactly it is stupid

    This.

It gives you infinite levels, but you aren't going to get to gamebreaking values of stats unless you skeleton crew (which still isn't enough in L) or you grind. Especially when killing 12 enemies gives you a level up after long enough, and when you can't dodge in lategame (which has enemies with ridiculous attack values).

  4. Although I'm not as active as I used to be, who here plays hat fortress 2? Main class? Experience, etc.

    I'll start

    Soldier:1k hours

    Next are

    Sniper

    Demo

    Scout

I only have the F2P hats and the mann co. hat, because I sold everything.

And yeah, the Escape plan was nerfed... Fuckin valve.

  5. I have no trouble playing Judgral and the GBA ones as long as it's on emulator also DS is fine anywhere

    reason: Turbo key

I can't bring myself to replay the tellius games though because no turbo and no skip enemy phase are you kidding me game do you expect me to sit through like 40 enemies moving while I go make myself some tea no fucking thank you

I sometimes do homework and chores while playing RD and PoR.

    Still slow as hell EP.

  6. If Pair up and marriage is removed, I won't,....... give a fuck.

I'm a fan of FE, if it has the FE gameplay I know and love (raising units, tactical game), I will like it.

My feelings exactly. I don't get why people who clearly hate FE13 insist on posting here when they could used that time on a thread about a game they actually like. Honestly, that kind of attitude is what made me reluctant to join these boards for such a long time.

But hey, I see those people as a mere vocal minority and not something to get worked up over, let alone something that would prevent anyone to enjoy the game. It's just like everytime a new Zelda comes out, you always hear people complain and talk about how the previous one was so much better...when some of them likely bashed the hell out of said previous game when it was just released.

You must be new to the internet.

  7. i don't consider myself to be as good as say.... 1% who finished the mode without grinding, so yeah it does rely on skills. Its called being able to adapt

Granted Lunatic mode is the easiest hard mode in the series so far, so I can't really judge Lunatic+ accurately. Lol Sumia solo

    PoR :P

Yes, the early game is really luck based, even with the water trick. That's because you lack options. The first 6 chapters are really hard, and L+ still has some huge difficulty chapters, like chapter 12,18,19,20, and those after 20 except for 22. And they all have one thing in common, too many enemies, too little time (no Endgame, nosferatu can't solo L+, you don't even get the first one till chapter 10, and your ass gets handed to you by the high enemy density).

But other than that, the mode does something that I feel a lot of hard modes can't accomplish. It makes every new run, no matter how similar to the previous one you made, different. It's a factor of the RNG sure, because the skills are distributed randomly, but how you take down that different team is what matters.

If the early game was designed better (say, only one skill till chapter 5?), I would like the mode better.
