  1. Okay I crunched the number thanks to the page numbers we saw. (This is based on if Veyle is the first character in the Gradlon section of the book)
We can expect the sections to go
    Lythos - Firene - Brodia - Elusia - Solm - Gradlon.
I'm making the assumption that Yunaka and Anna comes after the Lords and their retainers (because of the marketing we already have), so 8 pages (double spread for each lord and normal page for each retainer) and then 2 pages for Yunaka/Anna + Saphir/Lindon.
Meaning that between Saphir and Ivy there is another 12 pages. Making it 22 pages for Brodia.
If we take that 22 pages and apply it to Elusia we go to page 119. If we take 22 pages and apply it to Solm starting at page 120 we go to page 141 making the next page, 142, the beginning of Gradlon with Veyle.
So we probably can deduce that each of the 4 kingdoms as 22 pages dedicated to them, but I don't think we'll have 20 playable characters from each kingdoms (2 double spread + 18 normal page). So after Saphir and Lindon the rest of the pages could be a mix of playable character, NPC and landscape art of the kingdom.

  2. I did this based on the video showing all the classes on Céline :

    Spoiler

    0F7N9Ba.png

Each Base Class is tied to two Advanced Classes, except for the Unique Classes and the special Thief.

Looking at the stats, Martial Master is the only Advanced class that lose a point in a stat compare to its Base class (-1 Res). Why they decided to do this is a mystery to me.
Edit : Just saw that Wyvern Knight also lose Res point (-2 even) compare to Flier and I'd like to add that Griffin Knight stats are a bit bonkers with the highest Rating.

Another thing is that Strength seems to be much higher than Magic.

One thing I noticed about the first clip is Celine breaking the enemy and the break preview being shown over the axe unit to the north as she moves in the second battle map: again, it seems breaking is tied to the weapon triangle, but not only does the enemy in the first lose their attack, the preview shows Celine is unable to make her next attack too. I don't think we've seen that before: maybe slim weapons are more likely to cause breaks but trade the follow-up attack (or the UI has been updated since the previous reveal and won't show attacks if you're going to get a crit, which could be useful for planning moves at the cost of removing the surprise of getting a crit).

Someone on the main Fire Emblem discord found the meaning of those red crosses.

They show if the attack will be fatal for the unit. If you look closely, if the thief do not miss his attack Céline is dead and if the attack miss but Céline hit with her follow-up then the thief is dead.

In all the other clips forecast none of the units would have died (if not for the crits of course) that's why there wasn't any red cross.

I think that theory is correct.

  4. All this talk about Rhea supressing scientific advancements doesn't even make any sense in the game since Nabateans seemed to only have been in Fodlan and for all we know none of the other country around them are more advanced even though they don't have anyone supressing scientific discovery.

Why the western church hates the middle church so much that they want to kill their leader we only know of a bit of evidence but two reasons are hinted at:

    - Power: The western church bishops dislike that the archbishop is considered head of the whole church

    - Racism: The church of the middle is open to nonbeliever and people from outside fodlan (cyril, shamir etc...) The western church seems to be not so tolerant about this. (But to be fair we only have one side quest mentioning that....)

There might be other reasons hidden somewhere in the supports, cutscenes etc. Unfortunately such small details you can just learn when you are with the right characters in the right missions .....

TWSITD, it's as simple as that. When you see the dudes in chapter 4 getting judged they say : "No, this isn't what we were told would happen! We've been deceived!" So yeah, TWSITD. Majority of bad events in the game (and probably throughout Fodlan's history) can probably be linked to TWSITD manipulating people.

Do you really think she would tell Kostas her full plan? It would have looked weird if he just attacked the teacher and nobody else. Also shje isn't emperor yet, so she has no gain from this chaos. She has no reason to tell Kostas her true plans and intentions. It just doesn't make any sense for her to kill them both and bring herself in danger there. If there wasn't Byleth she would have died too.

Oh wow. That's AFTER the timeskip. During the WAR. That's not a source for her intentions during the early game before the timeskip.

So she tells him to "kill as many noble pipsqueaks as possible" to hide her real plan which you think is "kill the teacher" and you also think that somehow the stupid bandit is going to miraculously do what her real plan was instead of doing what she asked him to do...What ??? Do you realize how ridiculous that sounds ?

It's not because she's not emperor yet that she can't take actions that will make it easier for her when she will be. On the contrary it is a lot easier to deal with them now than when she will declare war and they have the might of their nations behind them.

And where exactly does this prove she wanted to kill Dimitri and Claude? And what her true goals were? YOu made stuff up based on this textbox and assume she means Dimitri and Claude which makes absolutelly no sense at all. What would she archive by that? Also she was attacked too which clearly wasn't her plan.

Most likely she wanted to get ride of the teacher and replace him with Jeritza and nothing more. Based on a statement made by Ferdinand in the monastery it's likely that one of the students did know that Jeralt or other mercenaries were there. So she know that the three of them were safe. There would be absolutelly no reason for Edelgard to kill Dimitri and Claude at this point, it would archive nothing for her. She isn't emperor yet, so what would she get from it?

Also you assume she told Kostas the truth while it's more likely he was just a tool and didn't even know her true intentions and plans.

"As many noble pipsqueaks as possible" translate for you into "Kill only the teacher" even though we don't know if he's a noble, also the fact that pipsqueaks is most likely used to talk about the students since they are not adult contrary to the teacher, and the use of plural. Sure sure...

Killing Dimitri and Claude means that the last heir to the head of the Kingdom and Alliance are no more. And you ask what would she get from it...what about the chaos that would ensue inside the two territories that she will soon conquer because of the bickering between noble houses about who should be in charge now.

Also that last line is pretty ironic since it's exactly what's going on with Edelgard (Kostas) and TWISTD (Flame Emperor).

Also she NEVER said outright that he was supposed to kill Dimitri and Claude. Stop making up false statements in this argumentation. Do you have any actual quotes or screens proving that?

Do you have any sources for your statements? Because I never saw this sentences in any of my runs.

First dialogue box that Kostas said when he meets the Flame Emperor :

"What is this nonsense?! All I was told was to kill as many noble pipsqueaks as possible!"

And The Flame Emperor : "I had hoped you would achieve your goal despite the setback."

Don't think that really answered the question because:

Just like Byleth, Edelgard has the Crest of Flames in her.

    Spoiler

Crest =/= Crest Stone. Crest is a blood trait, Crest Stone is the literal heart of the Goddess/Children of the Goddess from whom the bones were used to create the Relic Weapon.

You can't wield a Relic that doesn't have a Crest Stone. The Crest Stone of Sothis is inside Byleth so only Byleth can use it. (Without the Crest Stone it's probably like a Broken/Rusted Sword, useless)

I think Edelgard attacked to force Dimitri to kill her, and it was primarily her decision rather than his. I feel it's more in character for the both of them. Using the dagger can also be seen as symbolic, resulting in her giving it back to him.

That's my interpretation as well, she knows Dimitri wasn't going to kill her so she "attacked" him to trigger a reflex in him. She committed suicide by Dimitri basically.

Get Lysithea to warp. Warp+stride anyone with 5-7 movement (benchmarks aren't too high with rally strength available through Raphael or Annette) with a mace to 1RKO boss. Everyone's movement gets reset after boss dies. Lure beast boss in on turn 1 and then gang up with all your units.

Doesn't that make 3 turns though ? 1 turn Miklan, 1 turn lure beast, 1 turn kill beast.

And getting to B by chapter 5 is possible ? o_O Wouldn't that make you behind on Reason by a lot ?

  12. 20 minutes ago, SSJDennis said:

Wow. Hubert is incredibly low. He is much better then Linhardt, who only gets utility upon reaching A(!) in Faith. In the mean time him and Lysithea can nuke things with Dark Spikes, even when Linhardt gets Warp, his range will be low ish. Even then, how do you explain the large gap between Linhardt and other Warp user Manuela? Can't be availability only. Should be on top of B at least. Other mages like Annette aren't all that different from Linhardt either, did you get a really blessed one in your house?

Mercedes should be a bit higher, but meh.

Talking about Linhardt gaining Warp at A Faith but then talking about Dark Spikes on Hubert which is A Reason.

Manuela doesn't get Physic and has less Mag than Lin. Annette doesn't get Physic, her only good thing is Excalibur/Double Rally but she's slow and extremely frail. Not having Physic makes you a subpar Healing unit.

Chapter turncount Chapter 5: 2 turns ? How is this possible though.

  13. -I don't want Battalions to come back. I didn't really use them to their full potential (only used E/D battalions except for the lord's one) and never used any Gambit after the first beast encounter.

What I know though is that as someone playing with combat animation "ON" it is extremely frustrating to see those stupid Enemies spamming their Gambit with shit Accuracy and shit damage and not being able to retaliate. I roll my eyes each time I see one being used. It's a bore.

-The class system if it comes back like that needs a lot of balancing on about everything around it (skill/growth/bonuses, etc...) and I don't really like all the weapon being available for almost every class.

In line with my profile picture, it's about crests.

So we know society considers crests as the basis for one's status, if you have a crest you're better, either because you're more powerful and you're needed in combat (like with House Gautier) or just because it's cooler. We're told that nobles pop out countless babies until one finally bears a crest and can be the successor. We have people being adopted like an "accessory" because they have a crest (Marianne, Mercedes) or given away as a prize because of their crest (Ingrid).

We're also told that TWSITD (and to an extent Rhea) make countless experiments with crests, we're told that the goal of Hanneman is to increase crest availability so to destroy the discrimination.

And then we're told that Rhea shares her blood with Jeralt and the guy gains the crest of Seiros and stops aging. The Elites inject themselves with crests and it's enough that it passes over to their whole bloodline. The Saints share their blood with random humans and their whole lineage bear that crest forever.

So why is all of this such a big deal, when you can solve everything with a transfusion?

Pretty sure only the Manakete's blood can give a crest with a transfusion.

    For the Bow Knight path:

    • Fighter -> Archer (make sure you master this class) -> Sniper -> Bow Knight

The above path is probably by far the most common, primarily training bow/riding, with some lances thrown in along the way somewhere for the Bow Knight promotion.

Speaking of this, for Ignatz since he already has Hit+20 it could be a good thing for him to go Fighter -> Brigand (for that sweet Death Blow + Strength growth) -> Sniper -> Bow Knight. It is a good way to salvage is sub-par Str it seems (since his Dex/Spd/Lck are already pretty good in term of growth.)

Well the whole point of founding the Church was to control and limit human technological advancement, so to avoid humans from overstepping and have a "second Zanado".

And I'd argue that having the chance of taking bad decisions is better than being forced into "good" decisions.

Not really, the technological advancement was thanks to the Children of the Goddess sharing their knowledge to begin with. Rhea didn't need the Church to limit that.

  17. They should have used the same system that they used for the Fighter class in Beginner (/ = or) :

    Intermediate Cavalier = Riding C + Sword/Lance/Bow C
    Advanced : Paladin = Riding B + Sword/Lance/Bow B
    Master : Gold Knight = Riding A + Sword/Lance A  and Bow Knight = Riding A + Bow A (with Bow Range +1)

Can use the same thing for Reason/Faith and Riding.

Then give the Infantry specialists (A in Advanced) a Master Class requiring S rank (and give the Bow Range +2 to the Master Archer)

For the mixed unit you use the same principle with a differentiation at Master Class based on weapons.

    Balance the fucking Growths.

Drop the master class title and add them to the advanced list and drop the requirements on them to match advanced.  This way you can say that oh great knight isn't a supped up paladin it's an alternative, cause the term master class makes me think it's an upgrade when in fact it's an alternative.

Also wouldn't mind falco knights getting healing magic

    Depends on the Class.
