  1. Greetings, Serenes Forest! I hope everyone's having a great Easter. As it happens, today is the day I have finally completed my magnum opus, THE BEGGINING. I sincerely believe you will find this game to be an epic and scintillating quest for revenge that will keep you on your toes. The game patches to FE8.

    SPECIAL THANKS:

I want to thank everyone for making this production possible. Yes, reader, even you. Unfortunately, I do not have a long enough lifespan to personally thank every person in the world, so this will have to do: please remember that whenever you feel scared or frightened, never forget times when you felt happy. You are special in your own way, even if you don't yet know how; everyone has their own times in their life when they feel they're closer to or farther from their own self-realization. Remember to stop and smell the flowers every now and then.

  2. I kinda had a moment where after submitting my entry, I went and watched some classic (pre-RF4) Ragefest stuff and although I remembered the broad strokes, I forgot how rough everything was (which lends to its charm). There are also so many Ragefest memes (e.g. money man; halberdiers; Teodor; literally everything Avraxas has made) these days that it was kinda cathartic(?) to look back at their origins.

also: holy SHIT you just called yourself "McCain" in Rondo of Madness was that a motherfucking raocow reference?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

  3. To elaborate on the music: the GBA FE sound engine has been drastically improved from its vanilla state in the past several years, allowing for higher amounts of polyphony as well as improved fidelity when playing samples at high frequencies (so a sample can have more fine details in it with less crackling background noise). Additionally, a lot of the samples are exported from DS games, so they generally just sound better than the GBA ones (even when they are compressed into GBA format, thanks to the aforementioned sound engine fixes). You have Eternal Bond to thank for my inspiration to do this. Praise be.

Also Nero don't lie there is currently no Fiddle instrument in the rom

    7.8/10 too much waiting

Don't you see? There's so much waiting in the game... it's Waiting for FEXNA: The Game! If we can all beat it, FEXNA will finally be released!

  5. Thanks for filling while classes slayed me, Vaximillian! ^_^

guy on right = Kashin, chief of the Ilka clan.

Thief: Sandra. A young girl who came under the protection of Castle Edessa. Contrary to expectations, she became a spy.

(You're fighting Istore soldiers rather than Bern ones in the ch where you recruit Sandra, however relevant that is)

not!Arthur: Sergei. A former countryside husband who has stepped into the role of a mage. Completely changed from his old days, he is now an intellectual.

    Generic bosses: Ganz and Konrad.

Soldier (w/ Amelia sprites): Diana. A silver-haired lance user. A volunteer spirit who strives to become a powerful woman.
Brigand: Lev. A former villager from Ilia. Extremely diligent despite his outside appearance.

  6.

The 13-con Nomad: Yalakh. A warrior of the Kutolah clan. A loyal, reputable giant.

Mage boy: Leo (not to be confused with FE2 Leo or FE14 Leon). A cheeky young mage. Searching for somewhere to belong.

    Bandit boss: Toghrul.
Male nomad bass: Burgedo (not sure about this one at all)
Female nomad boss: Zas. The daughter of Chief Arslan. A skilled fighter who lives by the sword.

The reason why the Sacaean names are looking so weird is because they're all seemingly references to Mongolia/Siberia/other places, which makes sense given the location of the real-world Sacae. Still, though, you can easily see why the official games don't go for names like these.

  7. Too many people just suggest making player units broken.

Add +3 to all monster classes' base stats (including con), give Revenants and Entombed the "+15 crit" skill, and remove the legendary weapons' monster effectiveness but give them the brave effect. Remove Bishops' Slayer ability. Change Fetid Claw's range to 1-2. Replace the monsters in Final Chapter part 1 with bosses from past chapters who are equipped with copies of the legendary weapons and promoted/autoleveled to level 20. Feel free to nerf the monsters in ch4 if the buffs make them too strong for earlygame units.

Rename Soldiers Loldiers and give them +4 base speed/HP/con and 7 movement (this sounds OP, but vanilla GBAFE Soldiers are terrible.). Change Franz's and Syrene's starting class to Loldier. Loldiers and Revenants can both promote using either a hero crest or earth seal. Loldiers promote to Ephraim Great Lord.

Change Orson to an autoleveled level 10 Entombed with a Fetid Claw. This applies to both playable Orson in ch5x and boss Orson in ch16.

Change Forde and Kyle's names to Fordetta and Kylie and make them Pegasus Knights.

  8. Ch4x has you fighting Bern soldiers for the first time (you're going after their supply convoys); Zinc recolour is named Spencer.

MaybeMainVillainDude is named Loki, it seems. Ch5 boss is named Harman (isn't this the name of a generic knight boss in another FE game?).

    [spoiler=XxX_n3w_dud3s_xXx]

Brown-haired cav: Nikita. A young Ilian knight errant. A realist forged from cold weather and poverty.
Blonde armour knight: Rick. A knight-protector of Ilia. Self-conscious of his grasshopper physique. An armour with 4 con?!?! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHApoor kid... I mean, I understand the appeal of a speedy armour knight, but... FOUR CON. He'd have to come right out of the gate with capped speed to compensate for that.

  9. Plot conjecture: it seems Saya and co are now searching for Dayan and the rest of the Kutolah to help against the Djute.

Saya: "Uncle said it was safe as far as these parts, but..."

    Liane (mage girl): "Heeheehee~."

Zagarn: "There's a village over there, but it seems someone's snuffed out the lights."

Mage: Liane. A young witch in training. Hates to lose.

    NotNavarre: "Understood. I'll go now."

    Black-haired girl: "Please, wait!"

NotBinks: "Huh. Seems like these guys've got some bones."
