  1. Guys, guys, I can't do big eyes. Can I make Soren like, 10 years older? Give him really small eyes, and spikey hair, then I'll be in 'da zooooone. EDIT; Guys, guys. I think I got it.
  2. EDIT: Added a later rendition. I'm realizing why I hate doing big eyes, they're just so tedious to get right. Just to show that I haven't been ignoring the collection, just been stumped on Soren who I haven't been enjoying as much as I thought I would. I'm not sure whether that's a good or bad thing, because I was sitting here thinking to myself, wishing that I could just go and breeze through all the mugs I'd enjoy doing but then I'd be left with a heap that I wouldn't, and I don't want to do a bunch I don't enjoy because then my motivation would be shot. Either way, maybe fun times are ahead. Made a compilation sheet, for shits an' gigs.
  3. Got damn it Marcia, this is why nobody loves you. The body's ok, not really all that good for perspective but I'll deal. The face is iffy, but the hair is definitely the part I hate most.
  4. Yeah, Ghast pointed it out and I just stared at for about 10 minutes and was like, But it's because I resized the reference to a different percentage than the others, without checking to see if the size not only matched up to the other Radiant mugs but also to the original FE mugs, so yeah, completely my fault and I'll fix it probably when I finish doing the other PoR mugs, because I'm already getting slightly burnt out whilst doing the second bandit, which is why I dropped them and if it wasn't for Shinon and Gatrie being somewhat more easy I'd have dropped this for a week or two. So yeah, for now just pretend she took a growth hormone or something.
  5. It's a pity that the colour limit makes it look a a little bad in regards to the people and the planet. I'd recommend brushing it in GIMP or something and then colour-crunching through Usenti to get a more workable graphic but I've no idea how the palette works for CGs.
  6. It's a pity, because enemies and non-playables aren't an issue as far as I could see with FEXNA when it comes to mug sizes, it's just because you see playable mugs in certain menus that look off when mugs are too wide. It's why Greil was wider than the others. I think the screen Yeti or Klok showed was the on-map item menu where you see the mug, and I think 104 is the max amount of pixels or it'd be wider than the menu panel the mug sits on. Though it means I can go balls out on the Black Knight and not have to worry 'bout that fucking hack-box.
  7. Curse you IS, for changing proportions between GBA and NGC. It's hard to get the reference to look right head-wise and body-wise because once you get the head right the body is way too large or ridiculous looking to work for GBA, hence probably why the bandits looked like arse. That brings me to my current dilemma. Gatrie, why must you be such a huge fucking son of a bitch. Gave up trying to get his own shoulders to work and thought I'd just pinch some armour from a GBA knight. Oswin is not pleased. Does it look, somewhat, okay?
  8. I blame the reference, always. I'll probably end up using extended generics from the original GBA FE games 'cause they look less stupid. Slightly. Shinon, why must you angle your damn head so? Also, thank you random FE8 boss, for your mouth an' ear. Not a single ear on this sheet is custom, they've all been spliced, muahahahahaha.
  9. I think I'm getting sloppy. Not a too big fan of Rhys, I just couldn't get the hair right, the mouth is somewhat okay but I wish I could make it work better but the eyes aren't exactly up to snuff.
  10. Challenge accepted it, I'll get around to it, come back in a couple years.
  11. I think that may have been me fucking up the resizing of the reference... EDIT: Separating the mugs into PC, NPC and EC from here on.
  12. This shit's getting tedious and I think it's 'cause I can't see~
  13. Damn god that armour was an absolute pain, and it's still not right.
  14. The cum-ridden tissue I threw out earlier was better than Awakening. Unfair comparisons aside, why even bother? Awakening was such an absolute poor entry aside from a few mechanic standpoints to the point where literally anything else is better than it.
  15. Is there any chance for animated backgrounds? I recently downloaded a collection of FE9 backgrounds and some had several frames for flickering lights and was wondering if it's something that could either be put in or coded in without too much hassle? Also, figure this probably belongs here more, as it's a question 'bout the engine more than FE7x. Not sure if it's been asked or answered, but is there an option to ontop of enemy ranges to select specific enemies and have that be a secondary range-viewer? I noticed it in Awakening and it definitely helped when there were recruitable enemies or if you wanted to be sure on ranges of specific groups or classes of enemies.
  16. Don't say things like that, mate, you're gonna make me even more impatient. ;3
  17. Spent more time on this than I did on Greil, weird.
  19. Yeah, those four are the only ones that appear in the prologue, correct?
  20. A neater sheet of what there is so far. Added the fix by Ghatsu, took out Boyd's cheek definition and dicked a little with Boyd's hair to no positive effect.
  21. A mysterious narrator isn't a bad idea, but maybe have a little bit more of a punch-y sort of dialogue, quick and concise rather than trying to be artsy. There are other hacks who've played part to the narrator idea, but from what I've seen most tend to have them speaking to a third party, rather than to the player or what is assumed to be an avatar of the player. Maybe that's something to consider. Also, maybe have a little more of a quick intro and then start with some gameplay and story and then have the narrator come more into play after we've seen a little more of the game, maybe a chapter or two where he returns and becomes more prominent after we've sunken into everything. As for the mugs: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qe2fsidnadbg2sv/NicktCollection.7z?dl=0
  22. Ten seconds, Ephidel tells me he's Guenhwyvar. So yeah, dude, like, don't do that. Simple names, or at least ones that are easy to get your tongue around. For example, one of my early games had a city called Aruceidyia, just for being fancy, ended up having Arcadia instead because the former was just fucking stupid. Also, I've got a free-to-use collection, chuck in a mug that isn't Ephidel. "Through the prime material realm" could be all put on one line, could also be reworded to take up more space along the bubble and end up with less lines overall. Continuing, it seems you do this more than once, where you have sentences on multiple lines despite it being completely feasible to have it all take up less lines. A five minute video is a bit much when the first minute is nothing but a generic, uninspired and uneventful speech, it's a minute in before we get any fresh insight into something more than just "You're a tactician, blah blah good/evil". "Barbarians and the citizens of Ten Towns", ten towns? Is it capital because there's a city called Ten Towns? Or is it a banded group of towns that have declared allegiance? Or is it just ten towns? Either way, bad writing, bad writing. "Five years have passed... Now, five years later". Bad writing, bad writing. "Aegis fang", shouldn't the F be capital? Not too sure on that myself, because I don't know the exact naming scheme of Fire Emblem weapons, but i'd assume so. Two minutes in and it's still the boring monologue. Show us something, even better, show the damn characters he's talking 'bout. Not even a minute in and I'm losing marks on which character is which in this story that I'm thrown into the middle of. You finally get to a map and you have three characters on screen but only show one talking, this isn't engaging. I'm literally watching another video and paying half attention to yours because it's not gripping in any fashion whatsoever. The frames on your mugs is off and it causes alignment issues when the frames load, making blinking effects and it's distracting me from the already disengaging cutscene. Also, if you're going to preview anything in VBA, don't have whatever settings you've got turned on, on. It makes everything look blurry and even though it might look alright in some parts, overall it's more of a subtraction against the whole package. Learn to cut down on how much is said, if you can say a two line sentence with just one, do that. No one gains anything from artificially increasing the amount of words spoken, it adds nothing but time to your scene, quality, not quantity. Also, who are these three characters we're seeing? We know a couple names from before and now a couple faces but there's no linking anything, or even if these are the same characters from before. What are they doing, why are they here, what's going on? Other than one character, who we don't even know which of the three he is, is just unhappy with another of the three, of which we don't know who he is either. I stopped watching after the dwarf left and the map glitched out, not sure if it gets better, but so far I'm seeing a very newb display. Maybe work on your hack a bit more before displaying it, maybe getting feedback on specific parts before putting it all out to show when it's clearly not ready to be shown.
