well, after all my boxes, I only pulled 3 SR+ cards, and one of them was a duplicate :(. (Sigurd+, why couldn't you have been Diadora+ like I wanted), but my luck was a little better than last time where I pulled 3 Eliwood. I'm still missing 3 of the most expensive cards (looking at you Diadora+, Elise+ and Leo+), so it may be a while before I will finish this set. My boxes were skewed black for further insult (2 boxes only had 1 genealogy SR!). From what I can tell, Sigurd, Levin, Arvis, Elise and Charlotte are slightly more rare than the other SRs and Ethrin, Bridget and Felicia are slightly more rare than other Rs Anankos and Ayra seems to be the most common SRs and Mahnya, Flora, Gunter and Garon being the more common Rs. This time around the HN and N seem to be pretty even (unlike series 2 where I was missing a HN after 4 boxes!)

@DoomZealot - if you only want a few cards, then buy the cards. many of us only have the R, SR, promos and + listed, but also have the HN and N cards as well. If you are trying to get most of the cards or a complete set (or play the game), then buy the booster boxes and ST decks. It lessens confusion if you list them by series and number (like the example you gave), as there are several duplicated characters now across several series, and the names can vary depending on translation.

I"m guessing they were hiding the secret card too. Though I can't see how they would think that we didn't know it was going to be Selice. IT would have only been surprising if it wasn't Selice. now I can't wait for my cards to come in. only a few more days...

no, you will get 15 random Rs 4 random SRs and a plus card if the least set was anything to go off. you could get 7/8 split, but you could get it skewed more towards one color (I've seen skewed more often than not)

I can't tell if I like the Diadora with Selice or the Ayra with Shannon card better.

it depends on what you're buying for. As for me, I will get one of every card if I can, so I buy several boxes (I found that 4/series works to get most if not all the regular cards). As this is my favorite game, I will get a few more, just to make sure (hence the splurge) :) I have found that one box will not always get you every N/HN (epsiacaly HN now that they changed it to 2 HN/pack) and will not get every SR/R. to get every SR, you need a minimum of 3 boxes, and if you are lucky, you don't get duplicates (or can trade your duplicates for the one(s) your missing). you also have to hope that you get the SR+ and not the cheaper R+ in your boxes. though you will have a bunch of HN/N to get rid of (if you know someone who plays, this is much easier). Then use your extra R, SR and (hopefully not) + cards to trade for the ones your missing. you can also try selling your duplicate instead. sometimes you luck out and pull that really good + card, other times you get duplicates (the first 2 boxes of series 5 I opened were Eliwood's X+ card, as was the 4th box. I was not happy). Series 5 overall had cheaper cards then the previous series, with only a few that cost a lot, which made my normal strategy not as effective. for series 1-3, it saved me a lot more then the boxes cost (series 4 may or may not have been cheaper, as I traded for most cards, it is hard to tell). Series 5 is costing me a little more (mostly because I still need Sanaki's + card and she costs the price of a box!) unless I can find a trade for the last few + cards I'm missing. to get cards, besides the trading thread, Sokleum is good, TCGRepublic usually is good, but overpriced, Rakuten's DragonStar can be good (sometimes is overpriced) and yahoo japan auctions can be good (though you need an intermediary to use, so could cost you more then you think it will). I have heard good things about BigWeb and AmenityDream, but haven't used them myself. I really wish they would release Cipher in other countries. Then I could play it and not just collect it (though I would still do that).

all starter deck signature cards get a holo version (it's the card you see in the deck package), so of course Sigurd gets one. Not sure why Cuan's 1 power one gets one I wasn't expecting the Ichival to look so.....fancy. I was expecting something like it's old official art. The rest of the holy weapons we've seen do.

between 14 and 24, we need to fit in Ardan, Alec, Noish, Azel, Lex, Midyle, Eden/Adean and Dew/Deu. Given that you can get Dew/Deu, Eden/Adean after Ayra, they could be right after her (since you have to get Lachesis, Jamuka, Holyn and maybe Sylvia in there too before Levin at 35). Then before Claude at 42, you need Beowulf, Fury and Tiltyu (possibly Sylvia if She's right after Levin). After Claude (42) you need Bridget, Mahnya and Alvis before 49. Diadora is either 4-5 or at the end near Alvis. If Bridget, Mahnya and Alvis each get 2 cards, then Diadora is 4-5. If I messed up the order of when you get people, let me know. I'm doing all this from memory at work (which I should get back to doing). they could skip characters (like Beowulf and Holyn), I hope they don't, but they could. Also, Mahnya could be anywhere, but most likely there because of how late in the first half you see her. oh and we know we have Sigurd and Ayra promo cards so far.

I didn't see that one. I also didn't see the Levin card 35. I'll update my list above with that info. Thanks for pointing that out. so easy to miss cards with so many pictures (which is a good thing I think)

I just went back an looked, so unless the art is not on the first page of this thread, then Fury doesn't have a R yet (that card does not have the R style card boarder), so she is still in the running for a SR card. What we know: 1-3 Sigurd (so far #3 HN, but #1 should be SR) 4 Diadora SR 6-7 Cuan SR, HN 8-9 Eltosian R, HN 10 Ethrin R 12 Finn R+ 24 Ayra SR 31 Lackesis R 35 Levin HN 40 Bridget R 42 Claude HN card art (with board but no card numbers): 3/2 Sigurd (prob card #2, but could be a ST only. we have seen Sigurd's ST+ card) 2 cost Ayra (prob HN, could be N, also no number yet. unlike the other 'couples', Diadora was not that high on the popularity charts, and for the most part, the Cipher card SR's have been based on popularity. (I'm the one who said they should do the spread. Still can't believe they actually did it though :) ) They also don't have to stick to the m/f balance. If they break away from the 3/3, then I see Elto, Alvis and Levin as the SR cards. If they keep the ratio, then Elto and Alvis will get R's, and we'll see other popular characters like Lachesis or Tiltyu (maybe Brigid and Eden, but unlikely). Fury and Sylvia are also up there in popularity, but if Fury already has a R, then she's out. Sylvia's a dancer, so probably out (but you never know).

so happy they did this. I was worried that they would forget about it :) well, if Sigurd ( guaranteed as the mascot) and Cuan have SR's, maybe Elto will get one too now...looking at the numbers, Elto probably gets a rare. if Alvis doesn't get a SR and just an R, then the ratio m/f could be kept. so Cuan, Ayra, Sigurd, Levin, Tiltyu and one other (Lackesis or Fury maybe) but they may not keep that ratio, they have broken away form some of the other treads too. Given that this was their highest grossing game until Awakening, I think it will still sell really well

shown SR cards: Cuan, Ayra shown art for possible SR cards: Sigurd, Arvis (the combo pic, plus Sigurd has another card art shown with no number) I can't see Levin not getting a SR card and cannot see Diadora getting one other possible candidates are Eltosian, Tiltyu, and Fury (she's prob a rare) - based on their popularity and the figures made before (yes Sylvia was in the figure set, but I cannot see her getting an SR card). getting Cuan makes me happy:) also this looks like we get half the post set in a box, and then you get the rest at shop events.
