  1. it's been a while since I last checked this thread, as I have not needed to scan anymore of the manga due to waiting for the translations to catch up to where I've scanned to. (also i have 2 jobs now, so very little free time).

the raws I've scanned are very rough and would need to be cleaned up (not to mention large file size). I think the last volume I scanned in was over 2gig.

If someone else is interested in translating it (I believe the translation has stopped due to real life problems), I can send you a chapter or 2 to work on, and if people like it, I can see if I can free up some time to scan in the rest of the volumes. Thankfully I have finished scanning in all the thick ones, so it's only the thin ones left to do.

  2. Wow, I love your re-roots so far! ^_^

I've also toyed with the idea of doing an OOAK FE doll, as of now the only one I've started work on is Florina (using a 2011 style Disney Store Rapunzel doll- her eyes were JUST big enough! XD) I should be posting some pics soon, I've not started the re-root/paint yet, only the clothing draft patterns... the armour is gonna be a serious pain in the ass :(

I can't wait to see more of your work, so far it looks fabulous! ^_^ A quick question; where do you source your doll hair from? I have natural colours from a friend who used to create OOAK dolls, but no unnatural coloured hair, which I sooo need for these FE dolls... any tips would be wonderful if you can spare any! :)

Keep up the wonderful work! ^_^

p.s. I know what you mean about male dolls w/ rooted hair... I have a couple from my youth (old style Ken dolls) but nowadays all the hair is painted on... such a shame really! :(

When I started, I just bought craft store hair (normal colors), Halloween wigs and whatever I could find on e-aby (for the other colors, but it was not a good Idea, for they were not that nice of hair). The problem is that anything meant for a human head tends to be to stiff or too big of strands for dolls. I taught myself how to make the dolls, so I went through a lot of pitfalls, but then after looking around for better hair on-line, I found a site that wasn't too expensive to get hair from. I used to get my hair from restoredoll.com, but now for the most part I get my hair from dollyhair.com (slightly cheaper, and will send you free samples, plus orders over $50 but less than $100 ship free).

Now depending on the type of hair you want to use, depends on where you want to get it from (also where you live could factor into it as well, for shipping costs can get high internationally).

Saran hair - mostly get it from dollyhair unless there is a color that only restoredoll has (or if you like working with a 'spool' of hair, then restoredoll, which is great for blends [even distribution of colors] and keeps the plugs small, but can tangle easy, so doesn't always work as a 'spool'[i sometimes have to cut the 'spool' and then it's the same as from dollyhair, but not quite as much hair]) this is the silky shinny hair that tends to be on the collector barbies (though not all use it, and some of the play line ones use it too). This has to be heat styled and is a bit hard to curl (Tilyu/Ishtar, Tinny, Michaia and Sarra have this type of hair). This hair can be dyed, but it tends to be on the faint side.

Nylon hair - From what I can tell, dollyhair has the only 'real' nylon hair (restoredoll's nylon is really kanekalon, and a bit stiff, but styles well), and this styles much easier than saran. It is not as shinny, but comes in a lot of colors and is what I used for linnoan, Myrrh, Sety, and Elincia. Dollyhair does have 3 'sparkle' colors in nylon, that shine kind of like tinsel, but it is hair. I am going to do a tangled re-root with the color sunshine, for it is almost the exact shade of the original hair, but super shinny/sparkly (so great for her magical hair, plus I can make it really long). I have found that Nylon is stronger than saran, so it doesn't break as much and can withstand more heat when heat styling. Tends to dye well. I think the Nylatex hair from restore doll might be really nylon hair, but I am not 100% sure on that (it feels the same to me, but I haven't tried to style it on a doll yet).

Kanekalon hair - for a lot of fantasy colors restoredoll is great, especially if you are not going to use a lot of each color. If you are going to use a tone of each color, then http://www.plastikhaar.ch/ has the same hair type and colors, but in large amounts. I have not actually ordered from them, but it is the same hair. For doll-grade kanekalon, dollyhair is the only place I have found it. This is the stuff that is used on most of the barbie play line and is soft to the touch (my little 5" Rapunzel doll came with this type of hair). The only downside is that it is only available in normal colors. This hair styles well and can withstand more heat when styling (and tends to hold that style really well). Dyes well too, so I guess you could take Kryolie Blonde and dye it for other colors (RIT fabric dye is good for dyeing hair, but it can get messy).

Polypropylene hair - only from dollyhair as far as I can tell, and styles like really well with heat. This hair feels like nylon (slight difference in texture), but is slightly shinier, and is super easy to work with. The downside is that is is no-porous, so it cannot be dyed at all. I have so far done one doll with this type of hair and her hair styled amazingly well (I got some in dollyhair's random grabbag of hair, so I experimented).

Mohair - I don't really like mohair, for it pulls apart too much for me, but is good for ethereal dolls and clay dolls, for it bakes well (only other hair I know of that you can bake with is nylon, though you may be able to with polypropylene, but I am not sure). Dollyhair as a good price, but you can find it other places as well, like in craft stores.

do you use the knot method, the sewing method or the tool method? I find that the sewing method is the most secure and 'best' way to re-root a doll, but if you have the right type of tool (dollyhair has the only good one I have stumbled across thus far), the tool method can be almost as good and a lot faster. The knot method is the slowest, but it can let you have the longest length of hair, for it is the only one that you don't have to double the hair on.

If you like, I can talk to you more about re-rooting dolls, for I have been doing so since 2003 (one good thing about the blackout of '03 is that I taught myself how to re-root dolls during it). I can also put pictures up on non-FE dolls too. I have been working (slowly) on adding an OOAK section to my webpage, but it is taking forever to get right, so I have no clue when I'll actually put it up.

  3. I guess that one reasonably resembles Ishtar but Ishtar has a side-ponytail thing and Tiltyu's hair doesn't part in the middle :(:

It'd be cool to get some clothes on her, though. It kind of looks a bit... creepy right now, is all.

good point about the pony tail, I think I'll just have to make another one with a side pony tail and then have both.

I can put her in clothes, but I am having trouble getting her outfit to look right, so I she will not be in her right outfit yet.

here's a rough picture of a few of the dolls in the works: (They all need thier faces re-done, but I can't get it my paints right now)

left to right: sarrah (mini kingdom barbie), Linnoan (mini kingdom barbie), tinny (face will be changed, sailor moon), tiltyu/Ishtar (bell), Elincia (Aurora)

    th_5-grils2.jpg

...yeah I still have to cut some of their hair.

here's one of Tiltyu or Ishtar doll with some clothing on:

    th_100_8160.jpg th_100_8161.jpg

I was going off these pictures for Tiltyu's hair and outfit, which show's her hair parted in the middle. I tried to get her hair to poof more, but her bangs did not want to behave.

    th_P010.jpg th_fe013.jpg th_fe2-001.jpg

As a side note, Myrrh's hair is annoying me...I have one side done right, but I can't get the wire to work on the other side, so I will come back to her later.

  4. I apologize in advance if I offend you in any shape or form.

I'm pretty sure there are a lot of people far more skilled in Japanese translation than I am, and heck you're probably one of them... but... I'm curious...

How much Japanese DO you know?

The only reason I'm asking (again I apologize in advance) is because of just a certain thing that annoys me when it comes to the storms that come up simply because of translations of "names".

There are some people here that have caused meaningless storms simply due to names... and the worst part about it was that they only knew katakana and had a nice little dictionary in their hands.

Katakana translation is a MESSY area when it comes to translation... and as long as discussion is civil, it's completely fine, because there's a LOT of room to maneuver when it comes to loaned words and names.

my Japanese is poor and self taught, but I know that different languages have different sayings that do not translate at all (I took French as my 2nd language). My sister got her degree in Japanese, so I ask her all sorts of questions (though she doesn't always have time to check what I have translated) She said for the most part, Katakana will always be translated as one way except for a few words (dragon will always be dragon, but some of the words that don't port over to kana well can have several interpretations, and thus where all the debate comes from). Like my example of Helios/Eryios - the katakana used is how the Japanese spell the Greek God Helios, so unless they are using that spelling for a different name for some unknown reason, his name is supposed to be Helios (though with IS, who knows what they are thinking...or what they really want for their names...they do seem to through the more "standard importing rules" out the window). Then again, they also throw in German and French when you are not looking..... I was told to check and see if the katakana was a 'standard' use for a name, and if not, sound it out to see what it is (which is hard to figure out for words form languages I don't know...like German), and then check to see if that has a 'standard' spelling. The problem she said is that they will sometimes take a standard spelling and stylize it for something else (sounds similar, but looks 'cooler' or something like that), or worse, shorten it and then you have no clue what it was supposed to be (i.e. percon = personal computer). Also, sometimes they will not use the 'standard' katakana, and that throws the whole thing off.

so yeah, I know what you mean by some names being open to interpretation, though as pointed out earlier by someone else, some are not open to interpretation, like dragon.

I try to have my sister check my translations, but she doesn't have much time anymore, so she can only glance through them now, so I will probably have some mistakes. oh well, c'est la vie.

sorry for the late reply, my computer has been acting up, so I have not been on-line too often.

  5. I have recently been working on making some OOAK FE dolls, though I am not sure if I should make this one Tailto/Tiltyu (or whatever you want to call her) or Ishtar. She was supposed to be Tiltyu, but now that I have her re-rooted, I think she looks closer to Ishtar. I would like some other opinions to figure out which way to go with her (then I have to figure out how to make her outfit...that's the hard part)

I made her from an Disney princess 6 1/2 inch Bell doll and gave her lavender saran hair. I still have to paint her eyes purple. Sadly the purple shows up pinkish on the digital camera.

    th_tiltyu-or-ishtar1.jpg th_tiltyu-or-ishtar2.jpg th_tiltyu-or-ishtar3.jpg th_tiltyu-or-ishtar4.jpg

I also am working on (or have mostly done) Sety, Elincia, Myrrh, Linnoan, Tinny (though I think her hair is not thick enough) and Serra. I can post pictures of the half done dolls if you like (I still need to paint their face and make their outfits). I am also thinking of making Leanne, but her ears are going to be hard (unless I can find a doll that has pointed ears...)

Is there anyone else I should make (I may or may not, but I welcome ideas)?

I can re-root any doll (though sometimes the weird hairstyles are hard to get right), but I am not that good with clothing yet (still practicing making patterns that will look right on the dolls to match their pictures. Doll clothes and people clothes are sewn differently).

Note that is is hard to find male dolls that have hair, so I am mainly going to be sticking to the female cast to make it easier. Also, I think the armor will be hard, for I will have to make my own molds for it, so I will stay away from heavily armored one for now.

I am open to suggestion on how to make them look better too ^-^.

I will post the other doll pictures soon

  6. Nope, sorry. What's known as "Resire" in Japanese has always been translated as "Nosferatu" in English versions. The Japanese Resire has been both light magic (FE3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 12) and dark magic (FE6, 7, 8, 13) at different points in the franchise, and has been consistently translated as "Nosferatu" (pending FE13's English release). The Japanese versions of the GBA trilogy did have a dark spell called "Nosferatu", which was completely unrelated and was translated as "Fenrir" (separate from the siege tome of the same name in FE4, 5 and 10, which was called Fenrir in all languages). I certainly won't deny that a light spell called Nosferatu is pretty weird, though.

So do I, but the thing is, odds are that any official English release of the game will likely be even more edited with unusual names than the fan translation is. Comparatively speaking the fan translation is actually rather conservative about all of this; with the exception of names provided by later installments of the series (classes, weapons, no characters aside from Serlis and Naga), pretty much everything is fairly easily recognisable as what the Japanese version says, even when the Japanese name is arguably dubious in the context of an English-language work (Tinny? I bet that one's gonna go the way of Asseray or Wayu should FE4 ever be officially translated).

tl;dr I make no sense at all and am terrible at arguing, and you'll probably have a better day if you disregard my disjointed rebuttals and ramblings

I haven't played all the games yet, so I didn't realize that they have translated it both ways (I knew they renamed Nosferatu in the GBA games, but I didn't know to what).

I guess the translations for this game are not as confusing as some of the TCG ones then (which is what I have been working on). I have to translate those directly, otherwise things get really confusing and so I assumed due the bad habit of IS on changing their classes, that the same would hold true between the games (I haven't gotten very far in FE5, but I know of the extra classes).

Really, I think you are doing a good job, just the new class names will confuse me since they don't always get translated the same by NoA for each game.

I just figured I'd let you know about the FE Museum for the names that don't have a game in English yet. The big problem I have with Yurius and Yuria, is that in half the western countries, Julius is pronounced Yurius, but in the others, it's pronounced Julius. So to avoid the confusion, Yurius works (Johan as far as I know is always pronounced Yohan, so it's not a problem with that one).

oh and if you want a horrid example of the offical romanized names, try Eyrios and Eyvel (should be if you spell it correctly, Helios and Aoibel...though I doubt anyone who doesn't know Gallic would get the right pronunciation of Aoibel), so I know what...unusual names they end up with using their very odd rominization of the names. I just figured, they exists, so might as well use them. (though some that are obviously wrong, even looking at the kana like Sigurd's name, I can see tweaking it a bit).

I hope I wasn't too negative, I was just trying to point out things to help, not hinder. I typed my other post sometime after 4am, so I may have miss-types or not thought it all through.

I almost forget, the difference between the FE4 skill and the FE9/10 Astra is that A) if you have a hero weapon equipped, Shooting star can give you 10 attacks, not 5 (not the case in FE9/10), all attacks are at full damage (I know that FE9's are not, I'm nor sure on 10's), and the attacks can be critical hits in 4. - so yes it works differently.

come to think Nihil (what was called alertness. lit translation = abandonment) also works differently (one negates criticals, the other doesn't), but I can see using Nihil just to avoid confusion and it is close.

Moonlight sword negates all defense, I don't know if Luna does (also Moonlight sword can crit)

  7. The patch goes with "Julius" and "Julia". As far as I can tell, an earlier version of the patch from years ago and before Twilkitri's work on it used "Yurius" and "Yuria". A later version from there did change it to "Julius", which required going over the script and finding and correcting every instance of "Yurius"; script editors are only human, however, so occasionally single instances of the older names slip through the cracks and persist in the newer patches. That was the case here: a single use of "Yurius" was still in there somewhere, which was finally found and fixed with this revision.

Alm's classes are Fighter -> Hero. The normal FE2 sword class chain is Mercenary -> Myrmidon -> Demon Fighter (though the name of the third-tier one is very much open to interpretation, pretty much everyone calls it "Demon Fighter"). FE4's chain is a split one: Myrmidon -> Swordmaster or Forrest. As to similarities, not really; FE2's chain is pretty much the Mercenary chain as it exists in earlier and later games, with the addition of high Resistance. Meanwhile, FE4's Myrmidon/Swordfighter strikes me as a bit of a combination of the later separate Mercenary and Myrmidon classes, generally depending on the individual character (ie Ira is more of a Myrmidon, while Holyn is more of a Mercenary). The Swordmaster is just the same as it is in later games, whereas the Forrest is pretty much a Hero without axes. Meanwhile, "Ranger" is just what FE8 called the Forrest Knight (dual sword/bow in FE8, sword-only here).

Basically, if you're looking to compare the FE4 sword classes to anything, you're better served looking later in the series than to FE2.

Several things are wrong with changing Yurius (the official translation from FE Museum) to Julius. I have never seen Yurius translated as Julius in anything from IS. Same with Yuria, that is how they translated her name. Unless FE 13 changes it, I see no reason to mess with the official names that Nintendo of Japan has posted on their site Fire Emblem World (the NoA stuff is just temporary given they haven't officially translated anything to do with FE4 yet). I believe that they are also the exact same names as the Trading card game and Treasure.

And yes ,Celis is the official translation on the FE World page (and in just about every FE book I can think of).

Then again, people have trouble with Lynn being called Leen officially, and Ares being called Aless (to be fair, they changed Mars' official name to Marth when the TCG came out....still have no clue why). FE Museum for FE4 can be found here

I think I will stick with the old partial translation patch, for I don't like most of the changes made (the classes and skill are different then the newer games, so even if they share the same kana, I can't see Prayer being Miracle (works different), and Shooting star/Meteor sword (Ryuuseiken) works different then Astra). I also see no reason to change most of the classes to the GBA names....most didn't make sense in the GBA and the FE9/10 and 12 names 'fixed' some (but alas not all) of those odd issues.

oh and for the people asking about the various 'thief' style classes, there are many odd class names and groups in the old FE games, including Dandelion....(I am not joking, it's a type of bandit group) I can't remember all of them, but there may be a straight up bandit class (I know there is a pirate, Orgahil Pirate, mountain thief, dandelion (could be FE5), Purple Dragon Mountain Bandit (think this one is FE5 but it is a silly name), thief, barbarian, hunter and thief fighter classes). What is really odd is that they use katakana (パイレーツ) for the pirate class, but some of the groups that have pirate in then name use kanji (オーガヒルの海賊 = Orgahil Pirate).

The other issue, is that if you start changing the class names, the FE5 stuff will be very odd, if not off because of it (there are classes in FE5 that are not in FE4: Archer, Mercenary, Dragon and Pegasus riders, soldier and berserker, though there may be more). Also, there is the 4 physical weapon Armor type classes though the generic Armor class is the lance wielding one in FE4 and the same holds true for knights, with Social Knight being the the 'multi' weapon knight (Free knight being the sword guy).

Oh, before I forget, Riziah (or however you want to romaniz it) is not Nosferatu (that was a weird localization for FE9, for the actual Nosferatu was also translated as Nosferatu in FE10). Given that they are 2 different (yet similar) spells (Riziah being the light version and Nosferatu always being the dark version), it is probably best to not confuse people with calling it Nosferatu like FE9 did.

too bad it is too much work to have 2 different version (one with the 'old' naming convention and one with the new).

I keep hoping that they will bring out the downloadable FE4 here for the Wii.....

  8. Thanks a bunch for your hard work! Is there any chance that someone could upload the rest of the raw scans? That would be awesome.

I scan the books as whole volumes for translation as they are needed. Also, the scans are rough (not cropped or rotated, reduced in size, or compressed) and thus are too large to post (I think the volume 7 was around 2gig.... and starting with Vol 7 the books are half the size of the first 6, some of those were almost 4 gig in size). The pages have to be scanned in a t high resolution (scanned in at 300DPI grayscale or color depending on the page)so that the editing can be clean and the images crisp when the pages are cleaned and leveled. Then they are reduced in size and the translation placed on them. The colored pages are 25MB each before being edited and the grayscale around 8MB.

So sorry, but I will not be posting the raws for the manga at this time. I don't have the room to store files of that size on-line and I don't have the time to rotate, crop/level and compress them.

Hopefully Tomoyo will be able to continue releasing them soon. Recovering after a computer failure can take time, so please be patient.

  9. I figured other people would have attemtped things like this. I must admit yours seems to be much further along than mine. I've only really got a character creation and combat system going, along with an items list.

I must say this looks pretty interesting so far.

If you want, I could send you the item/weapons list I have (pulled strait form the games), though it only goes through FE10 (I have almost every item, though I trimmed the weapons a tad). I will have to look for what I did with all the files (I never types all of it up, so I am not sure what I have saved vs handwritten but I know I have the weapon and items typed up). I started working on mine right before FE10 came out, and then it came out and I had to change stuff (like the 3rd tier..I never finished 3rd tier classes). I would have liked to work on it more, but ever since I graduated, it has been hard to find people to play any game, nevertheless play-test one.

I do find it funny that the newest FE game has a similar class to one I made for tier 3 (Sage Knights - sort of like sages that are mounted on Pegasus, though I forget if they got swords or spears).

  10. Interesting take on the tier 3 classes. When I did my FE PRG, I based it mostly off FE 4/5 and 9/10. Then I made some extra classes that seemed to fit the tier 3 for ones that didn't exists. Id you want I could tell you the ones I used (though my system was different, we used d10's for everything).

Having run a FE RPG, I'll tell you the problems I ran into.

combat was to crunchy if you let the players level fast (I used the game rules for xp, and you have to watch balance, for if the players don't help the less damaged resistant classes get xp, they can fall behind). I found the physical melee fighters leveled the fastest then the mages, and then the healers/archers. Also, you cannot account for player stupidity..... One of my players lacked any combat sense, and varied between stupid almost kill everyone tactics to ineffective on the battle field (he was playing a FE4 style bard...should have been more effective. The Shaman was fine and was the second player to class change (Wyrven rider was the first) so I know it wasn't the magic mechanics).

knowing how players like to multiclass and the like, I incorporated the weapon xp from FE 9/10 for weapon proficiency..... Worked well for the most part (each class had their own base LV for their standard weapon types, and everyone had E for hand to had), until the players said, 'why can't my so and so use this weapon if they get another party member to train them in it?' type of thing. In most RPG's there is the ability to change classes and gain new skills and the like, so to not have to worry about that, I said that if they could have enough time training, then they could pick up X weapon type at level E (and couldn't ever get it to LV S. I am still debating on what the LV cap should be actually). The only one of my players to do so was the wryven rider (was a Dragon knight at the time), who decided to learn ever weapon she could. When we stopped playing, she had learned every physical weapon, and even picked up dark magic (for a while she just hit people with the book , for she was having trouble finding someone to teach her). If we had continued to play, I think I would have had to make a new tier 3 class, Dragon Master Knight, just for her (similar to Master Knight, except mounted...).

For combat maneuvers and the like, we used a grid system like in the game (made movement rates easy to convert over), and we laminated graph paper to draw the map with dry erase marker. Then used Legos for he figures. worked well, though I did keep running out of enough similar Legos for the NPC army. only problem with this was that the map would roll up if it got damp.

The only rules I didn't make were for monsters, since my game was set in Tellus, though I did make some basic rules for mamukes.

Remember that people will want to play their favorite class, even if it doesn't fit in a normal FE sense (Mamukes nad Laguz in the same world comes to mind), so you have to come up with rules for every class/race in FE, and probably should do the monsters too (I didn't, but my play test/run only lasted one semester).

So keep an eye out for players, they will break everything, even after thorough play testing.

Also, Good luck, it' harder than it sounds.

ah, almost forgot to mention. It's OK to have social help with RPG stuff, but most of it should be left to the player s to act out (role play), not game mechanics. So it s find to give bonuses to character who have 'support' for each other type of thing, but let the players build those relationships, not have some roll X, or earn x points, it would be played out for better RP fun. If you are going to have social helping skills (for people who are bad at it, but their character is good at it), just remember to let the players actions effect things too, and don't rely solely on states for that type of stuff. The point ti to role play, not roll play ^-^.

  11. I apologize for the long wait, our scanner is still in the process of scanning the raws. I have the scripts done for the next two chapters. So I will be able to have them sent out to proofreading fairly quickly once I receive the raws. ^_^

you won't have to wait too much longer,I finally have the issue with my degrees straightened out, so I should have vol 5 scanned in by this weekend. Currently, I have up to page 106 scanned in.

  12. Thanks, Blackavar ! :)

And, so the novel deals with the Second Gen ? Very interesting. I should try to search for it around my area (and at Akihabara at my next trip there if I can't find it then), so I get the chance to read it and see if the author managed an interesting storytelling of it.

There are at least 3 different novel series for FE4. I have 2 of them, but I don't read Japanese, so I couldn't tell if they are good or not. Try Bookoff if you see one. they are that rare thing in Japan, a used book store.

Here's the link to where I have the covers of the novels for you. (sadly I haven't managed to get that 3rd novel series yet, so I just have the 2 to show you).

    The link off my page

    or from my photobucket account

  13. Talking about website updates... did you ever manage to get those remaining Series 3 cards, Aquantis?

I keep trying, but I cannot afford the prices. (see how much Altena went for... http://page8.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/h127286785 yes, that's $43....)

I have managed to pick up all but the Issac pack for the SP cards though. and a few more cards from series 5 and 6. I also have some cards from the fan made series Fire Revolution sereis 2 to put up, plus work on editing the cards so that a translation can be placed on them.... yeah, I have way too many projects that I'm trying to work on...

Fore those who are interested, I'm now only missing 4 cards form series 3, 27 from series 5, 24 from series 6, 1 pack from the SP cards(which I'm working on getting), 4 from Fire revolution 1, 7 from Fire Revolution 2 and 23 Promo cards. I just have to finish scanning them in, turning them into HQ jpgs and upload them...then I can update the covers of the FE books I have too... I hope to get them all scanned and uploaded today, so that I can actually update my webpage

now if only I could find an inexpensive way to edit the FE manual PDF...

Edit: @Eli Soul: I don't know the name of the novels off the top of my head, but their pictures are located here:

P.S. the amazon listing for a future FE10 novel is gone, so I don't know if that is a cancellation, a misprint(of there being such a novel), or if it's just been delayed...^~^.

  14. Well, I was referring to the Novel, since I agreed...since LAST YEAR that I would translate it for Aquantis as an scanlation project.

BTW, I was being Ungrateful on purpose... <_<

And I was just explaining what came to mind. I haven't been here since December, 30, 2008...and it like almost March and nothing happened yet.

But I understand your remarks and I will say: Sorry....

There, does that satisfy you both? <_<

VincentASM, you said something about TheEnd doing this project for his benefit, but when we ask him for raws on a certain chapter...he starts buggin, "I have NO RAWS"...then how in hell did you tranlate a manga with no raws???

    - Just say you don't wanna give the Raws....is that so hard to type...XD

you actually never told me that it would be a public release fist off. second, I have to finish my current scannilation commitments before I can take on a project as big a novel. I scan for 2 scannalation groups, and I"m scanning in the O-sawa manga for FE4. On top of all that, I work around 20 hours a week and I'm taking 15 credit hours...so yeah, I have very little time to actually scan anything in. I said that I would get to the novel when I have time, so please be patient if you want it scanned in.

ranting and complaining to everyone makes me not want to scan the novel in. If you just show some respect to the people doing a lot of FREE work for everyone, the you can ask for things. These things take time. We all have busy every day lives that interfere with our hobbies. If I had all the free time I did back in high school, I would have had everything scanned in already, but I don't. I would actually like to graduate by next winter, so I am not going to sacrifice my studies to scan in my books. I haven't even had a chance to update my own webpage in forever (try taking all high end science courses and see how much time you have...my 'easy' class is physics...). the novel is on my list of things to scan, so it will happen, just not right away. I wouldn't expect to see/hear anything until after the winter semester.

P.S. if it has been translated already, why do you need the raws of the chapters?

  15. I'm not sure, so I'll have to check all my books. If it isn't in one of the official guide books or 'artbooks', I can check the manga. It may not be 'official' then, but I'll see what I can find (First I have to finish uploading the raws vol 11 of FE6's manga).

  16. sorry for the super long delay. my laptop's monitor broke right before Christmas and I had to get it sent in for repairs. to make a long story short, they decided to replace my hard drive when they fixed the problem. I've been trying to get them to send my HD to the store to get it backed up (cost about $100) but they don't want to do that, instead they said that they could back up my whole HD for $455. as you can guess, I'm not happy with that price tag, and I've been fighting with 'consumer relations' to see what could be done so that I can afford to get all my info (including my research, school papers, programs oh, and those scans that you want). So I give you 2 options. you can wait for me to get my info back (I will, I"m just not sure how much it will cost me...^~^) or I can re-scan vol 11. Just let me know which way you would like.

Oh, and I have vol 2 all scanned too of Fujimori Nuts' manga. I can upload that to my 4shared account if you want (the only reason I have that as it was still on my flash drive because I had just finished converting the bmps to jpgs).

  17. Aquantis have the V11? if Aquantis scans this... I will save my V11 XD

The End said a answer, I have a money fot that, but, scans for not group ins´t the idea. But, if the Aquantis will scans other tomes, I will help with double page.

AAhh... I need study english <----<

If you want, I can scan vol 11. after finals (so after next week). I can also scan in the previous volumes if people want.

As stated on my page, if people are interested (and hopefully willing to translate) the doujin, then I'll scan them in. Yes most are form FE4, but that's my favorite game, so it makes sense.

I also have all the FE4 and 5 manga (and the novels for 3-8...), but I"ll only scan them in IF someone is willing to translate them.
