Hey guys, I know I've been gone for like 4 months and my game is coming up in the small-games queue. I'd like to host it, but I'll be travelling for 2 months this summer and then I'm starting my new job and I don't know what things will be like. So I can't host Buddy Cop Mafia until probably October at the earliest. Hopefully I'll come back and play more too, we'll see how things are.

That's fair and you did. It's more about the personal insult aspect of it I guess. Thanks for the neighbor bit.

Sorry for the relatively low effort I put into this game; I just couldn't find the time/effort (simultaneously) for necessary rereads. I also never really felt great about any of the wagons after d1 Prims (which was wrong anyway), which contributed to lack of effort. Sorry for the personal stuff as well. [spoiler=personal stuff]but ok I really find it annoying when people laugh at others for their opinions or say "wow you're dumb if you think X" without explaining. I mean, I know it's possible for players to say unfathomably dumb things, and one time in a previous game Boron calling me an idiot actually jolted me out of a nonsensical line of thought, but on the whole it's super annoying, condescending, and unhelpful. Also my preference is for getting people to say what they think and why, and the way I express that is to ask for it bluntly. I'll try to stick to "blunt" and not "bullying" since apparently that's a thing. I thought my flavor was kind of weird. Regarding the roles, I sort of figured out that Mafia had "mafia" roles and the Undercover Cops had "town" roles, but wasn't sure how far that went--as I posted in the Neighbor QT, I thought maybe Refa and Quote were UC because of the BPVs (you know, like cops wear?). Basically I didn't know where to draw the line (aside from the fact that role =/= alignment, etc.) Also, I have no idea how to use a Neighbor communication effectively. For the most part, why would I say anything there that I wouldn't say in-thread? Oh well, kirsche was scum anyway.

Oh by the way, mods confirmed to me in PM that they would tell a player if they got roleblocked, even if the player didn't have an action that night (due to a passive role, or failure to submit an action). I asked because I earlier mentioned that that sounded odd, the fact that Quote claimed to have gotten that message on a fail-to-submit. But yeah given the fact that Quote claimed hooked in that weird way, they probably did get hooked, and the hooker is probably scum since they haven't claimed it. So this supports Quote being town.

So, Poly, the way you explained your role before, I thought that in order for Person A to get your role PM, you and Person A had to both target Person B... since Quote targeted you and you targeted them, that's not the same person, so no role PM for you. I'm Neighbor with kirsche, but otherwise vanilla. My flavor is that of the Godfather's daughter, so I trust Euklyd to be town (Mafia) because that'd be some seriously messed-up flavor otherwise. kirsche is also my childhood sweetheart (yet not Lovers role, just Neighbor) and him being an undercover cop would also be some seriously messed-up flavor.

Strege: it's mostly role at this point + your terribad Parr shot--I don't buy your explanation that it's as bad for scum as it is for town. Refa: 15 minutes I think?

The reads weren't pulled out of my ass, but the scumlist was. I was just like "ok POE who's left" and wrote down names but obviously didn't get it right. I think it was because j00 was null in a "haven't-really-noticed-much" way and you were null in a "evidence for both sides" way, so when I was like "who's scummy" you came up first.

##Vote: Strege Let's start off with that. Not a fan of this last-minute Rein wagon even if I think he might be scum. Strege is a much better bet at this point. Quote's posts in #1029-1035 are awful. I don't mean in a scummy way, I just mean in a "why are you even posting" way. Like really what is the point of those posts if you're not even going to explain anything. Putting you in the scum list was more out of PoE than anything else. As to that one post, you're right, that was an emotional post. I have experienced, in like the last 3 games I've played, people pushing cases hard on me without explaining them, and it really frustrates me, and I really can't stand the "I can't be wrong so you must be dumb" attitude that I was calling out Prims for. If you can't explain why you're right in the thread, you don't get to call people dumb. I won't cry over a Rein lynch but I probably wouldn't vote him. Don't want to lynch Quote.

Can you explain this vote? I know you asked me repeatedly for opinions and stuff but you never actually presented a case. Ok but my original question still stands. Why did you target Manix instead of working with him as he requested to try to clear you? Refa/Quote vs. Strege is basically a 2-on-1 at this point. I guess I'd vote Strege right now but don't want to put him at L-1. Will be around for phase end if I don't forget.

The reason I didn't put down a vote is cause like, I basically only have townreads and nullreads, and I talked myself out of thinking Strege was scum during my last post. No need for personal insults. It's a perfectly reasonable thing to consider the possibility that you're lying. Because you might be lying, and he might be lying. Duh.

Also it seems odd that Quote was notified of a hook when they didn't even submit an action. Something smells here but idk maybe that's just the way the mods do it.

@Boron I can give you brief reads on each person... Euklyd: townread, for the most part. I trust the claim due to flavor reasons--Euk's early mention of the Usurper and a mention of the Godfather in my own role PM--and for obvious flavor reasons I don't buy the Godfather being an undercover cop, although I acknowledge that it's possible. j00: null. Don't have too much to say about this slot. I guess that's scummy in a way? But the only game that j00 and I both played in, we were scum together, so I don't have any sense of her scum meta from a town mindset. So yeah basically null. Don't really see the arguments that have come up about her. Kay: is dead, please update OP kirsche: mild townread. I know he's been pretty inactive but his actual posts seem pretty good. Quote: Had a townread before today; hook makes me look more closely. But I think they're the towniest out of Strege/Refa/Quote. Poly: not sure, arguments for both sides. That heavyhanded attempt to catch people out by targeting Manix and then asking people if they got his PM seems like a thing he might try, except that his very-verifiable role hasn't been verified yet and his guess that Manix would be the N2 kill (after not being the N1 kill) is odd. Why was Manix an easier kill N2 than N1? I guess I'm inclined to think town but I can certainly see the other side. Refa: case stated above. I don't really think the fact that his weak, scummy case was on me contributes to my read of him (i.e. it's not an OMGUS in any way) except for the fact that because it was me he was attacking, I remembered things much more clearly--I keep track of my own posts better than the other 10-15 players. Reinfleche: under the radar. Hasn't made an impression. SB: same. This feels more unusual for SB than Rein. scorri/Boron: wasn't feeling great about this slot when scorri had it; Boron has made me go back and forth a little. Nullish, maybe on the town side? Boron has been doing an overall good job scumhunting I guess. Strege: I think his reasoning for shooting Parrhesia was pretty bad, but I could buy him as town based on flavor. Like, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Mafia (town) have a Hitman role or something... compulsive vig *sounds* more like a Mafia role than an Undercover Cop role. Basically, when I ask myself if Strege is a Cop, my flavorspec mind says "no" but my content analysis mind says "yes." Re: Strege's claim: I'm generally inclined to believe his 2-shot compulsive claim. If he's compulsive, he's also telling the truth about the 2-shot part (otherwise we have another missing kill to explain, plus Strege's shift from claiming to not-claiming his kills) and if he's telling the truth about the 2-shot part, it makes sense that he was compulsive, since why would town or scum shoot on the first two nights? The only other option is that he's lying about both parts, and that would make him lying scum, but 3-shot or more vig seems OP for scum. Note that me believing Strege's roleclaim does not make me see him as more townie (except for flavorspec), because role =/= alignment, etc. Okay so processing the no-kill last night: -Strege is the only claimed source of second kill, so let's assume there was only one kill out last night. -Refa's claimed BPV could stop the kill. Refa, I take it you were notified that your vest was hit? (This would make Refa town since the only kill out was the scumkill, I assume.) -Quote could have been hooked on the kill. Seems unlikely, since the hooker hasn't claimed and Quote is a townread for me. (unless Refa was notified that his vest was hit, which he probably was) -Doctor who hasn't claimed could exist (see above parenthetical) I guess I believe Refa is town and absorbed the kill last night, assuming that he was notified of such... So... I guess Rein/SB/Boron/(Strege??) are my most likely scumspects (not in order). But like, I don't know.

Why would you target Manix N2 when you knew how your role worked by then and Manix wanted you and him to target the same person?
