Oh yeah, they are quite similar.
Also anyone else notice the helmet with the big nose and mustache!? Freakin' lol. We live in a strange world.
That's what we called fabulous actually

uh....who the hell does this?
I can dig up a ton of "Donnel is the best unit in the main game" posts from people in other forums though
That stupid iron pot already make him the worst unit avaible.
I wouldn't use him if it not for his pegasus knight gene -
Clip is short, would they really take up so much room? I mean, from what I heard IS under estimated the 3DS' capabilities so..
Well, regardless of size and 3DS capability, your idea is most welcome for me. I might write one later though, its never to hurt just to imagine, yes?
Although it is very hurt when you realize that your imagination will never come true -
Lon'qu is an okay unit. His speed and skill are great asset when paired up, and he is one of the most often to do critical hit as partner. Although he landed critical very often, his low strenght mean that he depend on his skill to kill a unit. Coupled with some high defense or resistance unit, he could slay pretty much everyone with his killing edge. But all in all, he is average.

His gimmicky trait possibly one of the most interesting in the game, as it managed to generate many interesting and relevant information of his character. That net +1 from me.

Its usually classes that near or similar to their original classes. Like Lon'qu become sordmaster, or Miriel become Sage. Pretty standard I guess.
The character portrait really have a great effect on my choices too. That's why it kinda irks me when I have to grind Stahl to get vantage as myrmidon. -
Laurent is actually the oldest because he was sent back in time five years before everyone else, I believe. Lucina was born first, though, IIRC.
None of the kids appear to me to be under the age of 16.
Yep, definitely not in their teenage age (at least for the boys)

They probably around their early 20 (Owain, Brady, Laurent)
While the girls shoul at least in their late 18
Well, that just me who like to ramp up everybody's age (especially in Japanese game) to match up with their skills.

Err.....who? Oh right, Kellam.
Kellam is rather invisible unit, only appeared when he is needed. For me, most of the part I need him is in early part of the game where I need tank beisde Frederick. His speed of course, as expected from armored knight, is not specatacular. But his lack of speed become problematic because his other reclass unit, thief, needs it. You'll probably use him in earlier part of the game when you need his big defense pair up bonus, but in long run, he'll got better in his habit of getting unnoticed. Although if you grind him, reclass to other unit, he'll make an interesting unit.

His gimmicky trait is not annoying, at least for me. Its rather funny actually, to see each character reaction in his initial support conversation when they noticed him. That's +1 for me.

"Pick a god and pray" is almost like an instant-win, so I would pick another line I suppose
Like, er
"Stay frosting.""I'll kill you twice!"
I couldn't think other that sound catchy in my head, so maybe that's all until I hear some more.

this may be talking about Awakening, but you could've fooled me if you said you were talking about Radiant Dawn
I never owned a Wii so er......I don't really know what you mean.

Have yet to try the Japanese dub, but so far the english one is very satisfying in quality. Especially Gregor.

That's why I called the game have terrible directing (also writing). Many moment that they thought should have invoked some emotions, failed miserably to do so because lack of foreshadowing. So terrible on how they handled things that story become detractment for my enjoyment. For me, I enjoyed the game most when I'm see character or backstory relevant support conversation. FE is a game with many characters, and I myself struggled to find the best form of story to make from that amount cast.

Clarify what you mean here.
In English, Lucina says something completely different than the Japanese version. Which... leads to the OP's "paradox".
Those are the English subtitles, for that localized dialogue, even if you play with the Japanese voices.
Oh, sorry because what I mean is exactly what you said there, I forgot that the game offers subtitle in general :(
I might be mistaken for some game that offers no cinematic subtitle there >.<
-
I wished they had an alternate set of subtitles for people playing in Japanese. And that subtitle match those of what dialogue said in english instead of the actual japanese script -
There's also the issue of the permadeath system, which is really one of the (if not the only) obstacles in the way of having more characters do more through the story past recruitment.
I'll be frank about this. Want more characters to do more through the story? Get rid of permadeath.
Actually, I'm kinda fond of the permadeath system and want to see how it played oout storywise. But again it really need A LOT of writing, and A LOT of voice acting. The latter is the most difficult part, so I though silent route or support style "conversation" would the best try to take. It is the former that I'm worried to. While IS writers can crafted interesting characters overall, the main story still pretty bland.
Well, this is game with crapload of characters, so plot driven story tend to left many of those character have not enough time shine. That's why I always felt the story become detractment to my enjoyment and thought character driven story would suit FE the best,

time travel is complicated
Yeah, that's complicated, and even moreso if the route taken is non-parallel world time travel.
Parallel-world time travel is less prone to paradox, assuming the writers didn't mess up with their writing.

but maybe for a console version... besides this game didn't have terrible directing!
For me the directing is kinda terrible. Although I've yet to finished the story, much major part of the cutscene or story sequence kinda detract me from enjoyment because how they handle those thing. One example is like how suddenly a bunch Risen archer appeared in chapter 9. Maybe they intended the thing happened when the rescue squad in midair, and the archers are stationed in high places near that execution platform, but still, push my imagination that because the original isn't adequate enough to explain things still irks me. This is problem I mainly see in JRPGs, though fortunately the character neat design is enough to compesate for that.
Well, if they really want to create console FE game, then that writing should be just natural.
-
I wish they made all the characters plot relevant beyond there recruitment, I mean it would be cool if they had something like the "walking dead tell tail game" so the plot changes depending on who you recruit. Because with Henry it's just a few jokes and nothing more etc. no more story stuff with him
That would need extensive and serious writing to do, and with this game terrible directing, I thought that would make things worse.

I'd only wish that there is bard class in Awakening, just for Gregor's son. Because considering his father wide age gap and experience, he would love all of his father stories and day as a mercenary. I'll probably gonna write Gregor's son, Ivan very soon.

Frederick and Panne support line is quite interesting and add something more to his character. Also combined with his line with MyUnit, that would make even more sense to his reluctancy to eat wild animal meat. Although not relevant, Stahl and Miriel support quite hillarious to follow.
A question: In any of his supports, does Donnel mention about his father dying in a war? Maybe with Cherche, by chance?
He does mention about dying father in Nowi support, though I don't quite certain that he died in war or not
The Great Knight helmet.

Next FE should have that one. Even if it a DLC class, I'll buy it for sure. Or we can have a gentleman character that wpuld like to stay
classyfabulous in battle.
