Trivia: The trio battle theme is the same as if you superimposed Lunasa, Lyrica and Merlin's themes on top of each other (i.e. Play it at the same time).

*Its like superhuman powers combined with magic. Thinking about it this way makes me a lot less bored about being studying science in uni :V

*Other than that, things like prosthetics and genetic modifications could potentially make people physically capable of things that could be seen as "magical" to anyone who isn't in touch with such things.

As well as current regenerative research, that could potentially even have people regenerate lost limbs if they're successful enough...Which could even lead to more advanced cosmetic surgery etc i.e. appearance changing by "magic".

Its like superhuman...

That's just the experimentation part. Then there is the getting your research put into books etc that also reminds me of some magic in stories where magi write tomes for like, associations of magic. That also reminds me of magical authorities that forbid experimentation on people etc that is similar to science's ethics organisation. Things like bionic limbs remind me of Touko Aozaki's research in Kara no Kyokai. Robotics is like Alice Margatroid of touhou's dolls etc.
