  1. Just as a note for all, I've decided I've got more pressing priorities at the moment, and hence have opted to withdraw from this RP. There's nothing wrong with the RP specifically, just a change in life habits, combined with more compatible options have led me away from Serenes and off to distant webspaces~ Might pop into IRC on occasion if I ever get bored enough, but to the relief of many Mira's run off, and I should get going too. Bye bye~
  2. Mira had watched silently as the group picked itself together and headed back towards the inn. The more able fighters carrying the wounded. A few of the more energetic ones were trying to look for ways in which they could assist the rather strained healers, but eventually the group disappeared one by one, with the reduced numbers, it didn’t take much effort to crouch down and snatch a small satchel one of the bandits had been carrying. The clink of silver causing her to smile. She looked around to see if there was anything else of value, but to her dismay there wasn’t much at all. That said, the silver pieces she’d picked up was more than enough for her to get to the next town. It was a pity she couldn’t kill the elf she’d interacted with earlier, but either the groups foes would take care of that for her, or if he survived long enough, she could probably hunt him down once Andre’s little band became famous or something. She figured she might owe Andre or Adari some sort of notice, but the idea of returning to the inn wasn’t at all appealing, and the less shouting she had to deal with the better. Making sure that she wasn’t being watched, she slipped away silently
  3. Having been separated from both Zeff and Ernce as the battle turned from bad to worse, Mira was careful to keep her distance fromn all the enemies, not too interested in fighting against an enemy she wasn't familiar with. Just as others distrusted her to be loyal to the group, Mira too wasn't convinced that someone wouldn't take the opportunity to knock her out. She wasn't wanted here, and she was well aware of it, and to be picked off by some 'stray' shot or swing was something she strongly prefered to avoid if possible. Plus, there was something else she wanted to do. Weaving past enemies and allies alike. It was surprising to see that none of the bandit took to attacking her, the rare ocassions they'd started heading her way they'd either been swiftly picked off, or disrupted by another mercenary leaving her in the clear. She supposed she didn't look like much of a threat, and she wasn't attacking them, so the bandits had opted to deal with her later. Checking the faces of several of the fallen, she doubted she'd find the face she was looking for amongst the bandits seeing as how the man she was looking for was more a thief. But the two occupations were interwoven closely enough for her to check nonetheless. Dealing a merciful blow to a bandit here and there, most, if not all the bandits she came across were either dead, or on the brink of it. The act of finishing someone off didn't bother her all that much. A bitter after taste, but she'd be losing no sleep over it tonight. She contemplated giving some of her own 'team mates' the same treatment, but the leader pointy was reviving them here, there and everywhere, so she figured it'd be best not to try anything too brash. As the final bandit fell, Mira looked around, counting the number of people standing and confirming they hadn't lost anyone. There was one or two being carried around, and most were injured enough to not be completely in the clear, but they were still moving. More than what could be said for the guys lying on the floor. She was probably the only one who didn't have a single scratch on her, in fact she hadn't even broken a sweat yet. Being yelled at was something she expected, but technically her only orders from Andre were to grab her weapon and be outside. She'd done that. And while she didn't really want to listen to Sayina, his orders too had been to head north and defend the village. The former she'd done, and the latter hadn't been in danger at any stage. Furthermore there hadn't even been any orders to engage as the battle had started with the bandits rushing them. Contract wise she hadn't taken a step out of line. And she'd done her part by finishing of three bandits... even if they were literally taking their last breath.
  4. Over the past 24hours I've been watching the IRC regarding the current ongoing battle, and in all honesty I haven't been all too impressed. On the contrary I was thinking that this RP wasn't for me, and was considering resigning myself to go join something else (on a different site). I get that many people view stat/battles seriously, but unfortunately I can't relate, nor do I plan to change my intended playstyle to assure we get the bonus points, I don't even care if we lose the battle. (Personally I think it'd be an interesting start to fail our first merc job xD) As such, while I've agreed to participate in stat battles, I will not be playing in accordance to the "Battle Plan" set out by a individual or group of players. My actions in stat battles will be based on Mira's character and my personal preference. That's not to say that I'm not going to cooperate completely, and it doesn't hurt to suggest. But unless someone can validate plot-wise, why Mira would defend an elf, or a human/dwarf she's not on good terms with, it's not going to pass. Deaths on the team = More loot for her~ I'm well aware that this will most likely upset certain people, but in all honesty, it's probably those exact people that pushed me into this mindset. I'm here to have fun, not to win battles, not to gawk at how amazing your strategies are, and certainly not to have people throwing a tantrum after something unexpected happens. This is the conclusion I've reached after thinking it over for several long hours. If anyone has a problem I'm on IRC quite often, and am happy to respond to Serenes PM's of a critical nature. I can handle swearing, but pure verbal abuse will be reported. I doubt my mind can be changed regarding this matter, but for all those that this concerns, I figured a warning would be necessary, and that it would be recommended to not include my participation in your strategies as a guaranteed fact. Thank you
  5. Raising an eyebrow at Zeff's words, she honestly couldn't think of who 'he' might be. She'd spoken to a few guys, and while Ernce might have been the most pleasant altercation she'd had with the group so far, in Mira's mind he was nothing more than a fellow group member who was more fun to interact with than most others. Ernce was just a friend, if that, and she couldn't imagine for the life of her why he'd be getting upset over her liking anyone. On the contrary if he was a friend, he'd probably be happy she was getting along with at least one other, especially after he'd seen how she interacted with other members of the group. She considered asking Zeff about it, but concluded in the negative, deciding that whoever Zeff was referring to could get upset for all she cared. It wasn't like this would be her first time upsetting someone in the group anyway. What she couldn't let slide though was the Zeff calling her little, her cheeks puffing up in a pout as she looked at the white haired man with a look which was supposed to be stern. "I'm not little, everyone else is just big" she stated, shifting the problem to the rest of man/elf-kind. Mira didn't know much about Zeff's capability in battle, but what she did notice was that Zeff didn't seem to carry the same air of confidence that many others seemed to excrete with every breath. Whether it be silent confidence, boastful cheer, or simply an eagerness to prove themselves in battle. The same could be said for his confrontation with Adari. At the time a spectator might have been impressed by Zeff's bravery, but after hearing how Zeff thought of Adari, it was quite clear that his evaluation was one of him being inferior, and not a worthy adversary to the second-in-command. Mentioning the others though probably was a tactless slip though, something dark and sinister flickering in her eyes for a brief moment before being assimilated back into the childish curisoity and smile. "I'm nothing like those pointy-loving sillies, for one I'm not dumb enough to be fooled by pretty appearances and cheap trickery." Pausing she looked to her hammer and then naturally at Zeff's sword as if to compare. "I'm not a fighter, I'm a blacksmith" she frowned, not liking the way he referred to her by what she considered the inferior job. "And I don't like or agree with what you just thought" she stated, looking genuinely annoyed this time. Mira wasn't a mind-reader by any means, but she knew the look a customer made when they were picking out weapons. And the brief flutter of Zeff's eyes indicated that he felt his own weapon didn't meet up.
  6. Raising a questioning eyebrow as Zeff mentioned that the little display of swords hadn't been done with the intent of stabbing Adari, Mira could completely understand that Adari wasn't someone to mess with. Like Zeff, Mira had yet to see the woman in action too, but there was just something about the way she spoke, and carried herself, perhaps even some invisible aura that made one know instinctively that the woman would be standing over your corpse within minutes if she wanted. Looking around to see that Ernce was no where in sight, she frowned a bit, wondering if she'd been lied to earlier about him looking out for her, but didn't really give it much thought beyond that. It wasn't like she needed to have someone babysit her, and there was something about Ernce that didn't come off as quite natural to her. Something about him that felt like an act, or as if he were holding something back. It didn't take much to figure out what that something was if he did have issues with her, but at least he was considerate enough to keep his mouth shut. It was sort of ridiculous how so many others had sought to tell her off. It should be completely up to her how she acted in her free time, as it wasn't like she'd killed anyone.... yet. Several other Mercs had been drinking ale like crazy earlier, and she couldn't remember one person telling them off for guzzling the stuff down like water prior to a potential job. It was essentially the same thing. If she was hired to be a mercenary and work with the group as Raelynn had told her, that was during missions. Standby time was her time, and she realized that having that infringed upon was what had probably annoyed her the most so far. Shaking her head and trying to focus back on Zeff, Mira looked around to see if anyone was nearby, but unsurprisingly everyone seemed to have already formed their little cliques, and most were up near Sayina, eagerly anticipating battle. "I've had lots of people talk to me, it's not something to be envious of though" she laughed, picturing the faces of all the humans she'd interacted with so far. She'd already pretty much decided which of those faces were approachable, and which were just plain nasty experiences for to deal with. Dislike and contempt was often a two way street. Pausing a moment and looking at Zeff she stared him in the eyes briefly before shrugging her shoulders, "I don't know" was what she blurted out, before tipping her head to the side and looking at Zeff sideways as if inspecting him from a new angle. "If it's between hating you and liking you, I guess I like you?" she paused, giving Zeff a wide sweet smile, she was well aware she wasn't too welcome amongst the majority of the band and it was refreshing to have someone ask for her opinion instead of having them trying to force their opinion on her. "But, I don't know yet, don't know you well enough" she stated matter-of-factly. "But I guess we've got plenty of time to get to know each other. Misfits have to look out for each other I guess." she giggled, implying that Zeff not only didn't look much like a mercenary, but also teasing his passive ability to ward away potential social banter from himself.
  7. Not all that eager to chase after Sayina or be the first on the field of battle, Mira kept her distance from Sayina who was supposedly leading them northward to the bandits who surely by now had noticed something was a miss. It was sort of hard to miss a wyvern scouting in the air after all, though she supposed Toqua could have been more tactful and sneaky than he looked. Either way their objective was clear, and as others started to follow after Sayina, Mira noticed another straggler hanging back. "Isn't that the guy that was pointing his mini sword at Adari?" Mira asked, tugging on Ernce's sleeve to get his attention as she pointed out Zeff who seemed to not quite be there. She wasn't sure if it was the way he walked or the starry look in his eyes, but it was almost as if he were off in another world, reminiscing in something besides the present. It didn't surprise her that the nosy elf-lubbing humans were avoiding her, but for some reason they seemed to be unwilling to approach Zeff as well, and Mira couldn't figure out why. She briefly felt a flutter of hope that he was a fellow Elf-hater, but such hopes didn't last long as she recalled how Zeff had been shaking hands with Caslan earlier..... though then again, he didn't seem too happy to be having elf germs smeared on his shirt, so maybe.....? Slipping away from Ernce, not bothering to check if he was following, she tottered over to the white haired youth, staring at him for a few seconds before recognizing him as the elf germ victim she'd cleaned herself off on earlier. Perhaps everyone was avoiding him because he had elf germs? The idea was of mild amusement, but the elven bacteria had pretty died away by now, so she didn't have too much of an issue approaching him. "You're the guy that tried to stab Adari earlier right?" she asked scampering up beside Zeff, curiosity written all over her face as she tried to keep up with each stride Zeff took. "Does everyone hate you too because of that or did you do something to make people avoid you too?" she continued, smiling mischievously to see what sort of reaction she could provoke from the young man. Unlike some people who didn't have anything better to do than watch and complain about her, Mira hadn't quite had the chance to sit back and observe others, so she didn't quite know if Zeff had gotten himself into some trouble she wasn't aware about. But either way he was one of the few humans who weren't stickybeak enough to come over and complain to her about her views.
  8. With her eyes cast downward she didn’t notice Caslan ride past, but Raelyn’s approach wasn’t something that could be ignored, and as the young blonde woman too sought to lecture her about her behavior, for the first time since arriving in the group she returned a full on smile at the mentioning of elves. “It won’t accidentally find an ally’s skull” she giggled with bone-chilling mirth. Internally finding the threat to be more humorous that threatful. “Not accidentally” she whispered, watching Raelyn move off in a huff. She might have stopped to think about it a few moments ago, but Raelyn’s words had come a little too late. Mira couldn’t bring herself to dislike the woman as what she said made sense, it wasn’t like she was stupidly telling her she had to get along with anyone, just to work with them from a more impersonal standpoint. Not being fed any rubbish about friendship and unseen benefits was a refreshing change, but there was all there was to it, it didn’t move her heart of mind, and while Mira preferred Raelyn to come out of this alive, the conversation could die for all she cared. Mira couldn’t care less about mercenary company or professionalism either. Forget she was part of the group? Well that was a funny thing to say as she didn’t even consider herself a part of this group. You could stack the entire royal treasury infront of her now and she wouldn’t hesitate to opt to take the life of an elf instead. No petty gold, or employers silly expectations. The contract she signed had been between her and Adari and perhaps indirectly Andre. The elves had nothing to do with it, and furthermore the contract hadn’t mentioned anything about not taking the life of a fellow mercenary. Such things were implied and expected without specific agreements.
  9. It was a fortunate thing that Mira was pulled away by Ernce else it was likely that either Caslan or her wouldn’t be making it onto the field of battle at all. Her hostility flaring to the point where she would have gladly put out her own life to end the miserable pointy eared man’s life. There were just so many things that she wanted to crack his skull over. She had intended to remain calm no matter what the elf said, but the mentioning of her parents was one line that she wasn’t willing to accept being crossed by anyone, nevermind an elf. She took a step forward to take out her burning hatred when her hand was tugged in the opposite direction. Ernce’s presence completely forgotten in her mind. She probably could have dug her heels into the ground and refused to budge, but to Mira it was like he’d popped out of nowhere, and the moment of surprise was enough for Ernce to have dragged her a few steps the other way before she realized what was going on. The surprise having calmed her wits just a slight bit, she glared hatefully at Caslan with moistened eyes. “You’re right, I used to break things they made all the time…. until your kind came along” her voice dripping venom yet sounding a bit frail at the same time. Caslan’s words had completely scraped off her exterior hatred and clawed at something much more personal, raw emotions exposed. She didn’t have anything to say to Ernce as she was pulled along. Not really caring all that much if he led her off a cliff. The sudden stop and words flowing over her head like a breeze. Her eyes slowly turned to glare at Ernce, mixed emotions flickering in her eyes. But after a few seconds her quivering lip forced a smile. “Haha, sorry, couldn’t resist hating on the arrogant prick” she laughed monotonously. “Let my temper take over again, silly me” she blurted out not wanting to give Ernce a chance to say anything else. “Have to help the others right? What are we waiting for, of we go! North was it? I think we’re supposed to head north? Isn’t that what you heard? No matter I’m sure we’ll be able to meet up with the others one way or another. Go go go!” she stated with empty cheer, walking past Ernce and leading him in the same general direction Sayina had been heading. Mira was careful to keep her head lowered. She didn’t really consider Ernce a friend, but she was grateful he’d stopped her. A shattered skull was nowhere near enough torture for Mira to be satisfied with now. She’d find a way to kill that elf one way or another. And when she did it’d be long and agonizing.
  10. Mira shrugged her shoulders, not really having thought far enough ahead to see how Ernce would react if she refused his deal, but she supposed she was grateful that he didn’t immediately snap and start threatening her to keep quiet. “I do now” she smirked, looking around she’d run out along with a few others in her excitement upon hearing the possibility of battle, but there wasn’t a person, nevermind a bandit in sight. She supposed she could just run around and hope she’d come across one, but that seemed impractical and more effort than she was willing to put forth. Her first action was to turn to Ernce to see if he knew anything, but he didn’t look like he’d be much use either. Like her, he come out before hearing anything specific, so the only real option was to continue running out and trying their luck, or taking a slight detour to the stables where someone more informed might be located. Not really wanting to argue, she simply reached and placed her small hand around his, tugging on him with a bit more strength than she looked capable of, it shouldn’t have been a surprise seeing as how she was holding the upper part of hammer with relative ease. But it certainly wasn’t strength you could expect from a human girl that looked as frail as Mira. Hearing Sayina announce that they were to head North, Mira immediately grimaced at the idea of being told to head North. Not because she had a problem with it, but because she had problems with taking orders from an elf. Her grip on Ernce’s hand unintentionally becoming a vice like clench, it took a few seconds for her to convince herself that the orders had come from Andre or Adari, and that the elf was only a messenger. Watching as Sayina led the way she turned her attention back to Ernce with a mischievous grin on her lips. “Looks like we head north soldier boy~” she teased, testing that fine line between keeping quiet and revealing what Ernce seemed to want secret. She had no intentions of blackmailing him with it, but it was always fun watching someone besides herself tense up like that. Her mood had recovered greatly in the short span of time, but good things never last long and her mood was apparently no different today as another elf came trotting into her line of sight. The same one that had slammed the table earlier….. maybe, they all sort of looked the same to Mira. “As if you creatures weren’t tall enough already, though I suppose nothing’s tall enough for monsters that like looking down at the world” she muttered loudly enough for Caslan to pick up. “Proficient in magic, pfft, not that useful if you can’t even walk on your own two feet, lazy.” She spat, the smile completely gone once more and replaced with a sour look. Her personal philosophy was to avoid pointy freaks at all costs, but something had sparked her anger once more to the point where she was willing to spit such hateful words.
  11. While Mira didn’t care if any of the elves died, she wasn’t too fond of the idea of anyone else dying, not even the Cyclops lady. Being a new recruit she doubted her skills would be of much use on the battlefield, but at the same time she was certain that she was better than nothing. While Mira didn’t have a tragic encounter too share about bandits like Ernce had, she didn’t like the idea of people stealing and pillaging for a living any more than any other normal person. And if she could smash one head in, she’d not only be making herself useful, but also venting some of the built up frustration that she was so desperately trying to hold a lid over. Listening to Ernce as he told her something that sounded important, she frowned a bit, not really knowing what was so secretive about leaving the military. The only dealings she’d had with them were a few deliveries, and the guards by the gate had always been nice and friendly. If a soldier asked nicely she was sure they’d have no qualms wishing a fellow soldier good luck and goodbye. Then again, if the leader was an asshat she could see a small problem rearing it’s ugly head. And after being told extensively to keep what she’d learned secret, she shrugged and responded with something Ernce hadn’t expected. “No deal, I’m not good at keeping secrets so you don’t have to watch out for me” she stated simply. Boldly walking past Ernce’s side without so much as glancing at him. She didn’t really have any intentions to go around sharing Ernce’s secret, but the small smile on her lips probably gave a completely different impression. Coupled with her rather chaotic running around earlier, it didn’t take much to imagine the worst case scenario becoming a reality. Taking a few steps away, she suddenly paused as if remembering something, spinning her head and giving Ernce the closest thing to a genuine smile she’d made since successfully unhooking a ring. “Though I get that you’re not a bad guy, you don’t need to look out for me, but I wouldn’t mind staying by your side” she offered. Not placing any value on the fact that she held one of Ernce’s most personal secrets.
  12. After seeing Toqua dart out, Mira shrugged her shoulders and calmly headed for the door. Unlike the others who’d been relaxing, she’d already had her weapon poised for battle and hence was in no real hurry to get her gear together. After mumbling something under her breath about wanting to kill elves instead of bandits she couldn’t help but wonder what bandits were doing in such a rural place, but then again, why they were here didn’t matter, and it wasn’t her place to try and work out such things anyway. Seeing a few others to run ahead, she let out a sigh before breaking into a light jog, figuring that she didn’t want to fall too far behind and have her share of the loot reduced. Contrary to what others might have thought, she was paying attention. Very close attention to those around her. Keeping a fair few feet away from any elves, if one so much as bumped against her right now there was no telling what she’d do. Her attention was on the elves, and hence, while she did acknowledge the presence of Ernce at one stage, her attention quickly left him, not considering him important enough to care about. But apparently the man had other ideas, and after being grabbed out of nowhere, a flicker of irritation passed her face for a moment before she stopped and turned to smile at the man. She had nothing against humans, but if this man thought now was a good time to lecture her about racism then she was going to drop her hammer on his little toe and run off. “Mad? I’m not mad at anyone” she said innocently, thinking her words over before shaking her head. “Besides the bread lady, hopefully she gets stabbed or something” she added thoughtfully, trying to run over the faces she’d come across. She didn’t really hold any animosity against any non-elf. And ‘mad’ was too weak an expression to describe her feelings towards them. Hearing the offer that Ernce would watch out for her did improve her mood initially, but she suddenly paused, raising an eyebrow, “And what do I have to give you?” she asked thinking back into her past. “Papa told me to be careful of men that act nice for no reason.” Ernce had mentioned how he didn’t want anyone dying, but that was hardly a benefit. On the contrary Ernce had more to gain from people dying, though how much loot they’d get from this was questionable.
  13. Seeing as how everyone else she’d come across had been so eager to defend the dirty elves of the world Mira wasn’t all that surprised when Toqua too began lecturing her on how she needed to be more accepting of the elves, but the chances of her conceding that she’d even contemplate the idea was preposterous. She’d sooner strip down to her knickers and hand Adari all her possessions in exchange and starve to death in the wild then get along with those demons. Having dealt with all the lecturing though, she was able to maintain a bit more calmness as she turned contemptful eyes to Toqua. “Just means they’ve done enough to warrant this much hate from someone as young as me” she stated calmly back, her voice however trembled as she spoke giving away how she was trying to control herself. “Just let me get a bit of loot from a job or two and I’ll get out of your hair. As for lash back…… there’s only one person I care about in this world, and one place I care about, and I’ve made sure both are far, far away.” Her eyes flickered briefly towards Caslan presence which she'd been trying to ignore. Briefly threatening him with her eyes as if daring him to inquire about them, but the elf seemed occupied with something else now." Taking a deep breath and closing her eyes, Mira stood still for a few seconds before looking up at Toqua with a smile and playful eyes. The coldness from her voice finally disappearing, she noticed Ernce glancing her way, but he was only one of many and she didn’t really pay it any heed. “Anyway, that’s the big boss guy right?” she asked looking over at Andre who she was seeing properly for the first time. He’d been out when she’d applied, and he was already gone when she awoke earlier that day. “Looks tough, who’d be stronger in a fight, you or him?” she asked smiling. Clearly not in the mood to explain herself or even talk about her hatred towards the elves. She figured that while mercenaries wouldn’t be the most manner oriented people around, they’d have some sort of unwritten rule about prying too deeply into someone’s past. Fortunately Toqua wasn't even given that chance as the 'boss man' suddenly roared out that they were leaving. "Guess I can finally start working to get out of here" she whispered under her breath.
  14. Within an instant Mira’s body snapped into position as the first pair of hands slammed against the table. The fearful look in her bright blue eyes vanishing in an instant and being replaced with a cold hateful look that contrasted heavily against her childish outburst of ‘elf germs’ earlier. Her body slightly crouched and positioned sideways with the hammer horizontally infront of her, ready to make a sideway swing at a moment’s notice. She wasn’t built like a fighter, but neither was Caslan, and he was completely open and vulnerable to a swing right now. If it wasn’t for Toqua slamming his hand on the table immediately after she probably would have gone for the kill as well. Recognition and life flickering in her eyes at the second table slamming, Mira nearly dropped her hammer when she realized that her target and herself weren’t the only one in the room. The sound of people and movement making her blink a few times in shock, were in not for Toqua grabbing her shoulder she probably would have collapsed from the realization that she’d literally been only a second away from splattering elf brains, or at least causing severe bone breakage that would require immediate healer attention. It probably wouldn’t have been that bad if Caslan had been on guard, but judging from the looks of things the elf had decided to be confrontational without thinking things through, and he certainly didn’t seem to think a fellow mercenary would suddenly attempt to take his life in such a populated area. “I…. I-….” She blurted out still in shock as Toqua shook her shoulder lightly, she wanted to say that she hadn’t been thinking clearly, but the fact she opted for a horizontal swing instead of the typical vertical swing in the forge, she knew full well in her head that she hadn’t acted merely out of reflex. “Sorry” she mumbled to Toqua, unable to think of an adequate excuse. The head of the hammer making a dull ‘thunk’ as it was lowered to the ground. Her bright blue eyes suddenly disappearing behind her eyelids, Mira took in a few deep breaths before turning to Caslan and forcing a not very convincing smile. Her eyes conveying genuine hostility she usually kept concealed behind a mask of childishness. “Problem? No problem, I just want to wipe the entire elven race off the face of the planet” she declared in a sickly sweet innocent tone, her appearance returning to her usual self, but her raw emotions were still struggling to conceal themselves. She could feel several pairs of eyes on her, but the sudden arrival of a man averted a few eyes towards the arrival and Adari.
  15. Undecided on whether she should approach Adari or not, she’d been plodding towards the woman to discuss cancelling her contract when she came across Adari and some white haired new guy that looked vaguely familiar pointing swords at eachother. For a moment she thought that the white haired man was a deserter or something, her face going pale at the mere thought of going up against Adari, she was so afraid she didn’t even recognized Zeff as the elf germ man from earlier. Afraid of being threatened at sword point. She hated elves, but she’d probably hate death even more. Wandering where to hide, her attention was quickly drawn by a rather cheerful yet gruff tone. Her eyes snapping towards the man, fear evident in her eyes, she couldn’t imagine why her intentions had been caught on to so quickly, but after staring fearfully at Toqua for a few seconds, she relaxed slightly, trying to force a smile, but failing miserably, her entire body trembling as she held the sledgehammer closer to herself. “Uhh, hello Mister… Toqua?” she mumbled trying to sound as polite as possible. She wasn’t entirely sure what the man’s name was, but she was sure that’s what Adari had called him yesterday. “I’m fine…. I wasn’t planning on deserting or anything, promise” she blurted, backing away, refusing to take a seat. She’d never been one to think deeply, but the chair sort of looked like an execution platform to her at the moment.
