thanibomb
I'm a bit biased, but... Book 1: Briggid Book 2: Faval
Fia
I don't really use Bow users so... Bridget in 1st Gen. And I use both Faval and Lester in 2nd Gen.
thanibomb
But they are awesome for hit and run? And they murder winged units.

Fia
But they are awesome for hit and run? And they murder winged units. Oh, hit run? Fury and Fee are doing that job as professionals for me.
thanibomb
Oh, hit run? Fury and Fee are doing that job as professionals for me. But can they take down Dragon Knights? :P Seisen has the best archers ever, IMO.
_____
Half of the game is comprised of mounted units. Hitting and Running isn't a problem.
Rei Rei
Jamka for 1st Gen, Faval for 2nd Gen, but just because he has Ichaival, as Lester is a very close 2nd. Edited December 29, 2008 by Lex
thanibomb
Half of the game is comprised of mounted units. Hitting and Running isn't a problem. But they lack style... (Okay I'm beat here XD) Jamka for 1st Gen, Faval for 2nd Gen, but just because he has Ichaival, as Lester is a very close 2nd. I agree. ]
Fia
But can they take down Dragon Knights? :PSeisen has the best archers ever, IMO. Fury even can take down Leptor, so I don't see why some petty dragon knights would be a problem here.
luigi bros
Jamka for the first generation but Brigid is also good. Faval for the second generation because I pair Brigid with Jamka so Faval is 1 and a half good units.
Ϲharlie
But they are awesome for hit and run? And they murder winged units. The two that you chose as the best can't hit and run, though. ;/ Anyhow, I'd say Jamka and Faval are the best. Jamka is one of my favorite characters in the first generation. Santino
I'd say Jamka for the first gen, as he's near invincible when he arrives and stays good the whole time. Bridget is better, but there's just no use for her when she comes.. As for second gen, I remember Dimna was a very usefull sub. Lester with the hero bow (and Mideel as father) is just great, though. I never found much use for Faval as the danger is always gone before he reaches the battle :(
Lord Raven
I'd say Briggid and Dew/Holyn/physical weapon using father!Faval, simply for Ichival. Edited December 30, 2008 by Nathan Graves
Klaus
I like Jamka the best in the first generation, and Faval in the second.
The Envoy of the Beginning
Seisen has the best archers ever, IMO. FE10 Shinon would like to have a word with that.
La Yodha Stasella
Jamka for book 1 and Faval w/ Ichival for book
TheEnd
Jamka (+Killer Bow) and Faval (+Ichieval). It's just too bad that Jamka's low skill growth makes him a poor father for Faval. ;_;
Seph
FE10 Shinon is probably the most useful archer, ever. I voted for Faval. Edited December 30, 2008 by Julius

Fia
A Dew is fine too. Ah yes. Holyn is better since Dew makes a worse Patty. Actually, it's just the same. But Deu's growth is more evenly spread unlike Holyn's. The only thing they would really lose is HP.

Fia
Patty has a higher level in swords so she can use a Hero Sword, and she has Moonlight Hit. It's not like you are going to use her for fighting a lot... Though I must agree Patty is the best candidate for Moonlight Hit in 2nd Gen.
