Ragnell's Rescource Conservation Plan

Here is the ingenious plan of mine to both save natural resources and help stimulate the world economy. All we have to do is switch our clocks to go the other way, thus turning clockwise into counterclockwise and vise versa. That means switching the 3 with the 9, the 5 with the 7 and then having the hands turn the other way. Here's how it helps...

Most of you who have studied science have learned that most things turn counterclockwise (except clocks). So by switching the names and changing clocks, you would write clockwise more often then counterclockwise (the longer word). This would save graphite in pencils and would save space on paper by getting rid of the extra 7 letters when describing counterclockwise rotations. Also, anyone typing on a computer would save the time it takes to write the extra 7 letters plus the electricity you're using when typing those letters. And, if you print it, you'll save ink and sometimes paper as well.

Now for the economic benefits. The entire world would suddenly need new analog clocks if this change was made, so they would flood into places selling clocks. This would create a massive increase in the income of both clock makers and places selling clocks. With the new money they've earned, the clock sellers would then be able to buy other products that interest them, improving those markets as well. Then the chain reaction would continue and the world economy would stabilize.

I expect a part of Mr. Obama's inaugural speech to be about this, or at least for this to be addressed in Congress [/sarcasm]
