Sacred Stones. It's easy, but at least it's not holding your hand in EVERY STEP YOU GO THROUGH in the beginning. Beginners tend to understand how the game mechanics work after only a bit and would rather explore on their own through Trial and Error. Not to mention that Sacred Stones sets your standards low for the next FEs, so it only gets better :P

FE7, with FE8 Eirika can actually die in the first chapter (on Normal) which is a no-no <_<; but if they want a generally shorter and easier game, give 'em FE8 I say

FE7 for Lyn's story and FE8 since it's easy.

I picked FE7 since Lyn's story teaches you how to play. It's also the first I started.

FE7, as it teaches all the basics of Fire Emblem within Lyn's mode. I don't once remember FE8 telling you that flying units take extra damage from bows.

Fire Emblem 7. It really explains the whole Fire Emblem fourmula and gameplay style really well. And the difficulty is just at the right level for a newcomer who will only get better as he plays.

FE7. It has Lyn's mode, it's not too easy and not too hard. FE 9 is pretty good to begin with, imo, too.

FE 8 would make a bad impression on FE's difficulty, I guess. >_>

I said PoR because it has the most forgiving RNG and weapon triangle along with a very simple easy mode.

Hey Urvan! I got my dad to play it too and he beat it! Now he's on FE10 3-9, if you want to bring him in though don't have him play a GBA one seeing as he'll most likely avoid it due to them being on a hand-held, anyway that's what my dad did.

7 for same reasons already stated

9 because it has better gameplay and graphics and such. It's not like it doesn't have a tutorial. It has one; just not a forced one that you play through as being the actual game.
