My issues with Great Knights are the loss of movement relative to Paladins and having to live in fear of armor-slaying weapons AND horse-slaying weapons. (Seriously, in all the other games, it seems like IS uses a horse as an excuse to break the character, both in terms of stats as well as re-move/ large movement range.) The weakness to armor/horse-slaying weapons isn't all, really. IMO, the Great Knight class has bland animations and an ugly sprite. Knows that I think Swordmasters stopped being spectacular after FE6. @ Fayt, Paladins were nerfed in FE8 relative to FE7 (they lost axes). And the aforementioned weakness to armor/horseslaying weapons doesn't help. Really, I'm fine with having one set of slayer weapons as a weakness, but not both. Knows that I think that the Slim Sword is among the worst weapons in the FE series. (I mean, why even use this over the Iron Sword???) @ Fayt, I also dislike the fact that Sages in RD have horrid speed growths and caps.
