Just to be clear before I misunderstand. If it's the skills, all of them require your laguz get attacked at range, which is bad for obvious reasons. Knows that critical hits are often awesome. They have to get to level 30 to get their masteries (by using a Satori Sign on them once they reach that level - incidentally, satori means "enlightenment"), and that's a pretty tall order unless you're willing to pump them full of BEXP.
