And I'm not keen on having to constantly keep Rhys stocked with Physic staves because he continually falls behind. +High staff rank no need to grind till Mist can use restore or physics since his staff rank is his light rank no need for much grinding. Not that big an advantage since the first Physic doesn't even come along until chapter 15, and though you do get a Restore early, poison isn't that noteworthy unless your unit's low on HP. +Deals good damage upon promotion early or 21/1. (Specifically knights or low res units which FE9 is full of) It's not as though the def-res gap is all that big aside from knights, wyverns and laguz. WRT support-related stuff I forgot to mention: I said this once, and I'll say it again: Mia's pretty meh in PoR. Knows it's frustrating to see a Pokemon you really want when you have no Pokeballs.
