deuxhero Posted March 9, 2009 Share Posted March 9, 2009 It is one of the few series in brawl not to use a "victory" jingle and instead use the main theme (Even Zelda plays it's main theme as a congratulations jingle at a few points) and it is clearly linked to accomplishment (At least as much as Metroid's Item found jingle) in the series So why didn't they use it? And it's rather short, even for a victory jingle. (About the same length as the four notes that play whenever Link gets an item, IIRC.) That said, I do think that the "promotion" theme could have worked for the victory jingle, and it's easily recognizable from Fire Emblem. If you ask me, though, Ness and Lucas' jingle in SSBB makes even less sense than Marth and Ike's. Sure, it comes from the title screen of Mother 1, but it's nowhere in Mother 2 or 3. The jingle appears in every game bar Gaiden IIRC, and the promotion theme IIRC isn't even the same between games As for length, add a random number of "stats up" dings at the end (And Zelda has the lead in to the chest tune, so that really doesn't work). If I were to choose them, it would be these: Luigi: A few notes of Luigi's Mansion Theme Peach: The Water Song, played in many levels in Super Mario Bros Advanced 2 IIRC Bowser: A few notes of the theme played when Mario has to platform to get to bowser in SM64 Donkey Kong: 0:08-0:14 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrOsS3EV_lA Link: A few notes remixed in the TP field theme Zelda/Sheik: Zelda's theme remixed Toon Link: 0:24-0:31 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hfvtIf3LS4 Ganondorf: 0:25-0:32 sped up http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlIe8BTHqjc DDD: A few notes of his theme Falco: 0:00-0:05 Wolf: 0:00-0:04 I'm not a big fan of Pokemon, so I don't know much Pokemon songs, so I'd probably give each Pokemon the battle theme from their generation and have the PT's song be the first few lines of the origonal Anime theme; not kidding that song's good. Not much of an Earthbound fan either, but I'd give one of them the Melee theme, and one of them the Brawl theme.
