Sigurd has like the coolest name of any fire emblem character ever, certainly better than any other fire emblem lord. Really cool how they named him after the hero of the Volsung saga. Besides just the name. They both are mounted knights. They both fall in love at first sight with a woman whom they rescue ...who also falls in love at first sight and at the same time new of the hero before meeting him Both had a father who was a great warrior, whose sword was shattered (though Sigurd's father in Norse mythology had it shattered by Odin) They both reforge the shattered sword, which is a legendary blade Through deception Sigurd's beloved became the wife of someone else.
