So what would 4 be now? :o yes, nattoku i didn't look deeply into it, but i believe new 4 is supposed to be old 3 there was a general complaint that there was a big gap between old 3 and old 2, so they created a level between them supposedly at least

So beginner Japanese, huh. The sad thing is like half the people in my class who took the N5 failed.

Fruity Insanity
one more reason to study it's official then absolutely disgusting Yes, I am excited. N5 is now nothing, huh. I wasn't surprised, given that my class was more of an anime discussion club to some of the students. There were like 3-4 of us that actually tried to study the language. Fruity Insanity
good it never was anything beginner japanese classes are typically like that then most of them give up in one year It is my most anticipated class this year, in fact. I mean, bio, chem, and calc are fine and dandy, but Japanese is so fuuuun. Really? I don't have much reference because I only learned from one teacher, but I see. So other places are like that, too. Yes, this was the case. The entering class was huge. The exiting class wasn't.

Tao
languages are usually fun to learn japanese is fun except the whole memorizing kanji and stuff for me korean was fun too but lack of practice and actual lessons makes it hard for me
Thor Odinson
i should do japanese because kanji is a freebie for me but i don't have enough room since i'm continuing on with italian
shroudening
I'm probably only going to commit to two semesters during my undergraduate years, since I'm more focused on Compsci, Math and Physics. And first year doesn't appear to be all that taxing in terms of how much kanji we need to memorize.

shadowofchaos
What GNU/Linux distribution your server is running? CentOS. Because that's what the boss said. Even though it would have been fine with another configuration of Ubuntu.
