Never mind that Osgood is still playing for the Wings. Now, the question is whether Mike Babcock will screw over Osgood again... Only above average player. The team would be worse than Nashville and St. Louis even with him. Osgood was never great. He's like Niemi, Leighton, etc. He's got a great team in front of him that makes him look decent. Holmstrom, like most players, gets a good rep for being on a good team. Like, for example, did you ever hear a word about Keith Ballard (other than his troubles with Vokoun) before he was traded to Vancouver? No? Same situation. Yes, I know where he was. There's also a good reason he got waived when he went to the Islanders, and a reason why he never won a playoff series without the Red Wings, while still being on really good teams who never crumbled, despite what you say. Both teams were second in their division, that's not crumbling. And wins should never be on a goalies record - they're a team statistic. There's a reason why Nabokov was second in the league in wins. Top 10 goalies in the league right now? Something like: - Luongo - Miller - Bryzgolov - Vokoun - Broduer - Kiprusoff - Rask - Gigure - Halak - Hiller Osgood lost the starting job. With good reason.
