Well, maybe I'm to blame because I called the final arc Makai without looking at any sources. I don't know if it's widely known by a different name. Either way, it's full of bullshit and kind of painful to watch. I'm not so sure... the Toguro saga is mostly a tournament alright, but Genkai's and this last BS are quite short. I'd say half. The arc begins with some semblance of political conflict and some expounding on the main characters' backgrounds, which is alright. Then Yusuke goes LOL TOURNAMENT and everyone gets excited like little children - even those who were said to disagree about absolutely everything in the past few centuries. Then the tournament itself is simply determined by POWERLEVELS, with no space for tactics or anything that could make the fights remotely interesting. "fight" didn't exactly help that spoiled brat. Sure, the point that "there is always a bigger fish" is valid and all, but they didn't need to drive it home in every. single. battle.
