Can't say I've done a second playthrough with Shanoa yet but with a few on Albus and THE MAGICAL JOURNEY, it's up there on my list on my list of favorite Castlevania games. For what systems and what emulators were these? If your system can't handle Snes9x or Zsnes, that's a pretty ancient machine.
