Fruity Insanity Posted June 7, 2014 Share Posted June 7, 2014 Without a White Herb, it leaves them defenseless unless physical moves I have a Latios with Draco Meteor, and I use it, just not all the time Hydreigon I use for other special moves, like Hyper Beam or Dragon Pulse LOL Salamence, giving it special moves. You... don't play seriously, right? Because switching is a thing. And Hyper Beam is literally like never used, because it locks you for a turn. And Dragon Pulse is reliable, but rather underwhelming at times... And special Salamence is the only Salamence in VGC. Nope, no physical Salamence at all. Anybody who doesn't do that isn't even worth battling, to be honest; like, I know the outcome. Besides, IVs and EVs does not make a person suddenly good at Pokemon. It's EV spreads, movesets, strategies, team balance, and predictions that do. I'd assume special Salamence is way more popular in Triples as well. EDIT: I sound so elitist, lol. I know that this generally happens often, but this is a field where I do know my stuff. And I competitively player who doesn't switch is a first. To be quite honest, I think most of the competitive community wouldn't call someone who doesn't switch on account of "taking damage" a competitive player. :/ I mean, switching is so important to a battle. Heck, I've taught kids how to battle competitively. And one of the biggest points that I stress is "Switch when the situation calls for it." You tell me this now?
