Nightmare Posted October 23, 2014 Share Posted October 23, 2014 you know one thing i hate how these guys can just get out of the screen and inadvertently come out from another side sometimes when you are near the border and exactly where you are also big eye shooting laser out of the screen You can kind of estimate where they'll come from if you see where they went. At the time I'd posted, I had not even found the eyeball boss. I'd instead beaten the scythe-wielding skeleton and figured I had cleared the area. But after being stuck on the fire boss for so long, I finally picked "Stage Select" instead of "Retry" and in good metroidvania fashion, began exploring past areas. I finally found and defeated the eyeball, and eventually, also the fire boss. omg you're playing it too O: The fire boss is really hard! At first I wanted to make that the challenge, but then I thought better. Yeah, he really busted my balls, such a pain. Ovununu's weapon makes it easier, by far. That's kinda cryptic, man... Should have made it more accessible... Now I'm sure Bal missed it. Yup, I missed it. How could one not, I wonder? Unfortunately, dodging continually on the ground is a huge bitch, because he doesn't really telegraph if he's going to do one of the sine wave patterns, or home straight for you, or just go back and forth dropping fire, as far as I could tell. Excellent. Ground Gargoyle does indeed have a faster rate of fire, like Buster. I'm not sure how strong it is in air, but it's a lot stronger on ground. You can sometimes catch Flame Lord close enough to the ground to hit him with a few blasts of that, though yeah, Buster is generally better. Also, watching the first session and it's great. You took so long at the hippogryph, hahaha. This challenge makes more sense if you don't know where you're supposed to go imo I think so too.
