How is saving a princess not a story? Please tell me. Another thing, isn't gameplay of any sort simple when you get down to it? Fire Emblem, move dudes around and have them fight. You can miss a few events. I don't remember all of them, but I think Omar's poetry reading on Day 3 (anytime evening before midnight). Probably the same case with Shema dancing. Maybe a few other things, like if you don't visit the Adventurer's Guild plaza while the tightrope walker is there. If you spend too long without sleep you become exhausted, and everything you do hurts, just like running out of stamina, IIRC. I don't remember what happens if you refuse to eat/buy more rations, but I think you die eventually. I always recommend a full night of sleep, unless you want to try to fight the night-time only enemies (ghouls/jackalmen) or want to do thiefly missions which require cover of darkness (pre-requisite to that is getting in touch with the thieve's guild, IIRC). Then stay up all night and sleep during the day or something, and then maybe reset your schedule the next day. Also, if you just get bored with training and feel confident with your stats, you can just sleep away several days until an elemental shows up, but that can be a risky strategy. Edit: I like to at least check in at the Inn once a day, as they'll usually remind you of anything important happening (like Omar's poetry, Shema dancing, what-have-you). There is a lady who beats things with a boomerang(I-is that you Cham Cham?!) and is apparently good at dogfights(I like airplanes hnng). There is another lady who wears armor while beating things with a holy sword.
