It does have some nice ideas, with that Pokemon/Oracle of Ages & Seasons approach, and I'm positive that'll expand the storytelling a lot, but like you said, I'm afraid there might be too many dating elements that can deviate the focus from the strategy elements, which is supposed to be the main feature. What makes me afraid is the fanbase, tho. People complain so much about stuff that doesn't even have a real impact on the game, like Camilla or Kamui's bare feet.
