When I first saw people being heavily told to search before asking, my first thought was "What's the big diff between using a search engine and asking somebody who's purported to know?" If you want to make it a big point that you find his text annoying (which is find somewhat reactionary and silly when you could just do an extra half second of scrolling to never interact with him if it's that big a deal), you could just ignore him or stone cold not give him the answers. Here's one: You often waste less of your time as well as less of other people's time if you just use a search engine. The time he spent asking and waiting for the answer to "What's a mantra" and other redundant and pointless questions., he could've found it on his own in less than a freaking minute. I haven't played inflation and yet I've been able to answer several questions. That is not a good sign. It wouldn't surprise me if he's doing it for post count. But there are some things that just can't fit on my mind.-How do I beat Brian? Will TAs work? -Brian has Nihil, and crits=TAs. -I know, but I asked if TAs would work. Even if he were doing it for the post count, he's within the rights the forum has given him to ask those questions, so complaining that he is using a forum for the interpersonal action that it's meant for is a bit pointless, as is hoping he will be the exception to the norm and go above and beyond a "Meh" level of initiative.
